Historic 100-Acre Ranch on the Trinity River | Mountain Views & Wildlife Pond Description: Camp in a mountain bowl with sweeping views across 100 flat, open acres just above the Trinity River. This working ranch offers history, wildlife, and plenty of room to roam. Our pond is a favorite stop for blue herons, wild ducks, and geese — grab your coffee and watch the show on most mornings. The land itself has a story: it was once owned by the Brizard family, who ran pack trains supplying Gold Rush-era miners, and that history is woven into the ranch today. You'll also share the property with our resident goats, horses, and chickens (part of our on-site 501(c)(3) animal rescue), along with a working vegetable garden and fruit orchards. Animals are visible throughout your stay as you explore the ranch — please note that they are not available for hands-on interaction at this time, but you'll likely see them grazing, wandering, or hanging around the barn. Whether you're here to fish the Trinity River, hike the bowl, soak in the mountain views, or simply slow down surrounded by history and wildlife, this ranch offers a grounded, working-farm camping experience. This site is a full SUN site with not a ton of shade so bring your shade structures!
