Camp Joy is a piece of heaven. It’s just 1 spot so there is literally no one around. Butch and Emma were great, felt like they were watching out for us all night. Just note no water, no electricity, no restrooms or garbage cans. It’s totally rule.

Beautiful land and beautiful sunset. Off grid feel. Super private. Dogs were very friendly. Goats stayed away and were nice to watch. Set up camp/tent and had a great couple of days. The lake is super close. 15 min bike ride. Only needed to get off the bike twice to walk little parts.

This is an outstanding campsite. Beautiful vista's, private, easy access and level. We watched the sunset on one side and the sunrise on the other. Dustin is very kind and responsive. My absolute favorite site to date! Love, love, love Camp Joy!

We enjoyed our time camping on Dustin’s farm. The view from our camper was expansive and the sunset gorgeous. Dustin greeted us with a friendly smile and a gift of fresh eggs, which we had the very next morning. We had a grand time and so did our two dogs. Part of our decision to try this quiet spot … just a stone’s throw from a boating and swimming reservoir … was that our two dogs could go off leash. We will be back soon.

If you don’t need hook ups- Great host. Easy to find. Private. Gorgeous views Dustin helped with unhooking my tow vehicle and provided me with fresh eggs and vegetables from his garden.

Overall, good experience: the place looked exactly like described, no facilities like toilet or shower, but you can use table. Good place to park your RV but maybe a price of 30 usd was a bit too much.

Beautiful spot. Host came down with fresh eggs. Peaceful, quiet. There are goats, dogs, dear. The spot is not completely level but it works for an overnight stay. It’s really lovely to have coffee in the morning and simply be in nature. My only suggestion is to have a small sign that reads RVs here or Camp Joy. Other than that it was well worth the money for an overnight stay. Going back on our way home. 👍

What a treat to stay on Dustins land and these hosts are phenomenal and friendly, I am in love with their whole crew of animals! This site has a fence just to keep the animals from ending up in your tent, but I felt it so helpful for keeping my pup off leash but in the vicinity! The sunsets are just as magical as the sunrises and the platform is large enough for 2-3 tents with an already provided picnic table! Not far from Yosemite, its a perfect in or out stop from the park!

This site is quiet and private as well as primitive. A pack in pack out spot great for a night or two. The sunset is spectacular from the deck. Too bad for the necessary fence ( keeps goats and cows out) as it detracts from the view. The host was responsive and polite.
