Welcome to Your Quiet Sierra Escape Tucked away in the heart of the Northern Sierra, this private three-acre campsite offers a peaceful escape from the noise of everyday life. Surrounded by towering pines and fresh mountain air, it’s the perfect place to unplug, recharge, and reconnect with nature. Set up your tent and settle into the quiet. Whether you’re here for a quick overnight stay, a family camping trip, or a relaxing weekend around the campfire, you’ll enjoy the simplicity and serenity this hidden gem has to offer. Conveniently located just minutes off Interstate 80 in the small town of Alta, you’ll enjoy easy access while still feeling like you’re miles away from it all. Amenities 🏕 Private, spacious campsites 🚻 Porta-potty on site 🔥 Fire pit available (fires are only allowed in designated fire pits and when local fire restrictions permit) 🐾 Dog-friendly (our two friendly resident dogs may stop by to say hello) 🌲 Peaceful forest setting Please Know Before You Book * Pack it in, pack it out. There are no trash bins on site, so please take all garbage with you when you leave. * Alta Lake is a private lake and is not open to the public. * A train line runs through the area. You may hear trains passing during your stay, but the tracks are not directly next to the property, and most guests find the sound to be part of the mountain atmosphere. * Fires are only permitted in the designated fire pits and when local fire restrictions allow. Nearby Adventures • Euchre Bar Trail (Alta) – A steep, rewarding hike with incredible river views • Stevens Trail (Colfax) – Historic hiking trail with beautiful scenery and swimming holes • Rollins Lake (Colfax) – Great for swimming, kayaking, fishing, and boating • Pennyweight Trail (Colfax) – A peaceful hike along the Bear River • Lake Valley Reservoir (Emigrant Gap) – A quiet mountain lake perfect for fishing, paddling, and relaxing Whether you’re here to explore the Sierra, spend time around the campfire, or simply unwind beneath the stars, you’ll find the peace and simplicity you’ve been looking for.
