Primitive camp w/ 5 star amenities!
We had a wonderful time staying here! The tee-pee was stocked with everything we didn’t know we needed. A small ice maker and mini fridge, a coffee maker, and shoot… I didn’t bring any sugar. Oh look, Ed has some over here for us! It was a delight. The solar shower was such a luxury. It was great to be able to fully rinse off after a day on the river. Speaking of… Herons, eagles, hawks, otters! Ed had kayaks ready to go for us and we had the best time paddling along the Wabash and watching the wildlife. If you’re used to primitive camping but want a little extra this is the place for you!

What an amazing place!
The word that comes to mind when we think about our weekend at the Morels on the Wabash is: MAGICAL. What an amazing two nights we had in the teepee. Ed, the host, was so gracious and kind. He met us when we checked in and showed us everything we needed to know. We enjoyed kayaking on the river next to the teepee, making campfires, going into town, and even spending time in the hot tub! We recommend this spot to anyone who wants a beautiful getaway! Thank you, Ed!!

Ultimate Glamping Setup
The ultimate glamping setup, I'd say it has pretty much everything you need!
I came on my motorcycle solo for a 3 night stay and the additional amenities and small touches really sets this one apart from the rest. For example : small ice machine, mini fridge stocked with a few free beers, bottle of wine, butter and eggs, a couple of sodas, bottles of water. Ed provided a small bunch of fresh vegetables you can cook with , the cook wear, towels, kayak, hammock, fire pit ripping when you arrive, outdoor shower, patio deck with umbrella for sun cover... All these are above and beyond small touches that really went far for me!

This is absolutely, amazing place beautiful private romantic setting. Ed was amazing as well he had everything we need there. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday get away 20 out 10 will absolutely be back. I can’t say enough about how amazing it truly is. I can’t thank ed enough for a wonderful stay. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Our first night was pleasant - the kayaks are great, the teepee was stocked with some food and cookware, and the river is beautiful! However, the second day there were storms on the forecast (which we knew and prepared for), what we didn't prepare for was our bed and nearly the entire inside of the teepee to get soaked. Mind you - there's an actual bed in this teepee, a microwave, mini fridge, and not to mention all of our belongings.
There's a huge umbrella covering some of the room, but the rain was coming in through the hole in the top of the teepee and pouring along the sides of the umbrella.
We picked up and left as soon as we realized there was no way to stop the dripping and that it wasn't a safe / comfortable situation to be in. Very unfortunate to cut our trip short. The host proceeded to accuse us of being "inexperienced campers" via message and does not want to refund our second night. He also revealed he's a 9/11 conspiracy theorist within the first 5 minutes of meeting him. Would not recommend staying here.

The teepee was perfect. Ed has taken a lot of time to build this property and it shows. Everything from the outdoor shower, jacuzzi, outdoor games and river access made for an entertaining experience for my wife and I. We have been to many rentals Andy never had a hot tub as nice as the one on the porch at the teepee! He even had a bottle of wine waiting for my wife with a cold beer for me! He thought of everything we would have normally forgotten!! We can’t wait to come back with the whole family! Thanks Ed!!!

Escape reality and relax
We stayed two nights at the TeePee in the Morels on the Wabash, Indiana and had the absolute time of our lives! Our host, Ed, was a pleasure and he truly thought of everything. We chose the Morels because we didnt have a lot of time to get away from home and didn't want to spend it setting up and breaking down camp. Being traditional tent campers, we bought what we thought we needed but Ed the host, already thought of everything! The teepee had a small heater and a fan for the sunny days and chilly nights and also had extra blankets and towels for the hot tub. The teepee had a microwave, coffee maker, and a fridge including some of the essentials we actually forgot! With badminton, cornhole, kayaks, boats, hiking trails, and even an area to practice your golf swing! The Morels on the Wabash is a wonderful getaway for a couple wanting to escape reality or for a family looking to connect with nature and play together! We we definitely come back!!

Teepee Glamping Adventure
The teepee at Morels was such a fun experience! Everything was clean and well maintained. The location is secluded, quiet and beautiful.
Ed was so friendly and considerate and was very responsive if we had any questions. He even surprised us with some goodies!
I would highly recommend the teepee if you’re looking for a clamping adventure!

Such a beautiful experience. We packed for everything but there was already just what we needed inside. He even had a nice bottle of white wine ready for us when we got there. The outdoor bed was perfect at night to star gaze. The river was set right in front of us and a we spent the day canoeing. Honestly we didn’t want to leave and now just waiting till we can come back again.

Beautiful property with views!

Ed has a beautiful piece of property and was a great host!! Very unique experience staying in a teepee. Ed had a fire going for us when we arrived with enough wood for our stay. He also had the fridge stocked for us! What a cool surprise! Private setting for some much needed peace and quiet. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for adventure with a few creature comforts. Definitely still some rustic aspects so keep that in mind especially if you are afraid of a little water when it rains! 😁

Not to be missed.
What a unique and special place! Ed has an amazing location and is an amazing host. The teepee was well stocked for two, and had a surprise extra roll away twin bed (just bring linens, and consider a camping pad) Wildlife is all around from the sky to the river. It was just what we needed to get away, unplug, and reconnect. There is an endless array of activities available if you want to stay busy, and there is plenty of space and privacy to explore or just relax in solitude.
We enjoyed setting up chairs in the sand and reading the day away as the river slowly went by.
The teepee offers a slightly primitive camping experience with porta-potties, outdoor showers, hose water, and grill or fire cooking. But it has modern conveniences such as electricity, a mini fridge (that Ed had placed some supplies and chilled wine), and a fan.
Ed was available and very helpful, but completly unobtrusive.
There were other guests who stayed in a small cabin on the property and we didn't even know it until we were leaving.
Just a lovely experience.

Gorgeous Getaway

Our stay was wonderful! Ed was so accommodating he had a fire going when we arrived and wine chilled in the fridge. He came to checkin on us the following day but overall gave us our space to enjoy our time. The area has everything you need- a bed, fridge, grill, hot tub, shower he even supplied some necessities you may need. We loved sleeping in the teepee it was such a unique experience and great for first time campers. There are also canoes and kayaks that we used. Overall it was a great experience to get out in nature with amenities

Glamping in a TP at it's best!!!!
This was our first experience Glamping in a TP! Everything was absolutely perfect. Our host Ed was very hospitable! He provided everything we needed and more. We loved boating on the river and were able to see river otters in their natural setting! The TP had great amenities including a hot tub! The hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking and fishing. Ed kept us nice a cozy with plenty of fire wood for the bonfire where we roasted smores and hotdogs over the open flame. We also had 2 grills to chose from! charcoal/wood and propane. We grilled ribeye steaks, veggies and pork chops too! It was exactly the perfect get away for us empty nesters! We definitely recommend this for anyone who wants a taste of nature and still needs the little comforts of home. We will definitely be back again! Thank you ED! Glamping on the river!
We had an absolutely amazing time at Morels on the Wabash! Edward is a phenomenal host who truly goes the extra mile to ensure you have all of the amenities and comforts you may need to make your trip superb. The river location is stunning. The water was low during our visit which actually made it a great opportunity for shell hunting with our three-year-old. It was fun to explore during the day! There is an onsite vegetable garden that guests are allowed to pick from for cooking. We were able to make the most delicious omelets. There is also an onsite toilet and shower. After dinner, we showered up and relaxed in the hot tub, sat around the fire, and went to bed. It made us nervous knowing that it would rain all night, but none of the rain leaked into the tent, and we stayed nice and toasty in the comfy bed! The provided mugs and coffee maker were a delightful surprise and made the morning all the much better. I wish we could have stayed so much longer, but we'll be back!

We had a great time at Morels on the Wabash. The facilities were larger than anticipated and there were plenty of perks. The campground has just a few sites so it feels very private considering the large facility. The river is easy to access and provides opportunities for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. The place was clean and well maintained. T

One of the most beautiful calming places I have stayed! I planned this trip with my grandkids to connect with nature and share that love with them. We had fun exploring and trying new things together! Ed was so kind and gracious making sure we were well taken care of! I appreciated his hospitality as well as, the freedom we had to just enjoy the property. My grandkids and I had a blast and we will definitely be returning. If you love nature I highly recommend staying at Morels on the Wabash the land is just gorgeous with the most accommodating host.

Morels on the Wabash is lovely.
To say that Ed was accommodating would be an understatement. He was one of my favorite hosts in many years of traveling. You will appreciate the details included in his teepee and on his land. In a moment of consideration we
wondered about roasting sausages on the fire Ed prepared, and looking right beside us where there were two sausage skewers. Ah, so nice, so considerate. Sculptures of animals and morel mushrooms adorn the pathway from the road to the little landing by the Wabash River. The combination of nature, stones, water, a breeze, and the stars existing in a place filled with artwork is pleasing. Ed is an artist. Ed is a kind person. Morels on the Wabash is lovely.

Wooooooo!!
My wife and I needed a get a way and saw the site at the morels on the Wabash and decided to give it a try. We saw an ad about this Tee Pee! With all honesty it was one of the best picks you can make! What an original idea! We had such a pleasant stay all in part of the host Ed. I have been around the block a few times and there are hosts that are strictly in this business for the money and then there are guy's like Ed that is dedicated to his property and his guests. From the warm welcome upon arrival, the stocked kitchen with needs you may have,( man I wish I had a piece of that banana bread now) the cleanliness of the property, the access to things he provides such as canoes, fishing poles, grills, yard games, bikes, hot tubs, the list can go on and on. He also is full of suggestions for nearby trails, parks, and back to nature hikes. And when your ready for a good night of dinner he has the list of nearby places to go!
In closing, Thank You Ed for your dedication to making your guest happy!!

Sunset on the Wabash!!!!
My wife and I wanted to get away and do something different for a quick trip. Ed's Tee Pee on the Wabash was fantastic. We got more than we ever expected. Hard to say all the great things about this property. On top of it Ed is a great, and very welcoming host! He had so many great recommendations for the area. Loved hearing about his inspiration for the Tee Pee was because of the local Indian history. His property is beautiful, highlighted by a wonderful sunset over the Wabash!
As soon as you enter his property you just feel secluded. The river runs the whole length of his property. And the "campsite" doesn't even feel like you are camping. So if you like camping but don't want to work so hard at it, Ed has it set up for you. The Tee Pee was so comfortable! Ed had a campfire going for us when we got there and a bottle of wine chilling. The Tee Pee is next to a little brook that feeds into the river. It was so relaxing falling asleep to the flow of water.
What seems like endless amenities included a refrigerator with some of the basics like eggs, butter, pop and even a few beers. A clean and inviting hot tub to finish a relaxing day. Canoes or Kayaks to explore the river, including two islands that were right next to the campsite. Ed had firewood for us and charcoal for the grill. We actually even saw a bald eagle flying over the river. We were able to use a shower and restroom in one of the cabins on the property to make it feel like we were at home.
We were also able to explore one of the local state parks - France Park. They have some great hiking paths. Also close by is the Panhandle Pathway that we will explore next time when we bring our bikes. Also Logansport and Monticello are close by if you just want to get to a nice restaurant.
We will definitely be returning soon to do more exploring. But what I will be wanting to return for is to relax along the river beach and drinking a cocktail while we watch that sunset over the river. If you want "camping" without all the work, this is the place for you. Thank you Ed for making it so relaxing!!! We will be seeing you again soon!!
