This simple, off-the-grid retreat is made for those looking to fish, float, or just watch the water drift by while soaking up the sounds of the woods. Wildlife is your neighbor here—you might spot deer wandering the fields, otters slipping through the water, or turkeys and songbirds calling through the trees. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the deck, casting a line in the river, or building a campfire as the sun sets, nature is always nearby. ☕️ 🪵 The Cabin: 🛶 Rustic cabin with generator-ready power for light and phone charging 🛶 No traditional bed—air mattresses available upon request 🛶 Firewood available: $25 per 75 cubic feet (let us know if you'd like some) Good to Know: Easily accessible from the road Close to town, but far enough to feel like your own little world No plumbing or running water, I will have plenty of fresh water waiting for you at the cabin and more available upon request. Camp David more like Camp Delight

Stayed here with some friends and their two dogs, us our two as well. It was a one night stay and it was a gloomy, rainy weekend. But still so peaceful and enjoyable. Plenty of space to tent camp near the river and space for dogs to roam safely. We really enjoyed this space and David’s hospitality is unmatched.

Love Camp David!

Everything went well! The host is fantastic and accommodating and very nice, and knowledgeable about local hiking areas. The tippy canoe river is beautiful and tranquil. My favorite part is the outside fire pit. The facilities are great, we were warm and cozy. This is my third trip there this year, and my sixth trip to Camp David altogether.

It was a beautiful place. We were worried we wouldn't be able to continue camping this late into the year, but the heater in the cabin was more than sufficient. The host provided us with everything we needed and gave us our privacy while we lit a fire and enjoyed his wonderful property.We can't wait to go back when we can spend more than a night.

Camp David was a wonderful experience! I never thought I’d be able to camp so late in the season and not be completely cold but at Camp David, it’s possible! The surrounding site was beautiful - we saw a ton of deer! The water was really pretty and overall, both we and the dogs had a ton of fun.

It’s beautiful, quiet, lots of fun, and very clean! David is such an accommodative host! The cabin was decorated so cute, for Fall. It was my 6th trip to Camp David, and I will spend my birthday there, in December.

Camp David the Hidden Gem

Camp David was so cool! Situated right on the Tippecanoe river, it was definitely a peaceful sanctuary. I personally loved all the swings, both overlooking the river and also at the firepit. I camped in my campervan, but the cabin was perfect for my friend. All you need is an air mattress and you are set. David was a gracious host, and you can tell he's put a lot of personal touches on the property. If you haven't stayed here yet, I would highly recommend checking it out at least once. I know I'll definitely be back!

The site is beautiful with direct river access. The electricity was a super nice touch for anyone with phone chargers. There are a ton of options for cooking/grilling. The owner is super responsive and quick to bring anything you might need like a spatula/more propane.

We loved this place so much !! It was our home away from home. David was super friendly and welcoming. He was available for anything we needed. There was also a generator for electricity if needed but we kept it off most of the time we were there. Everything is set up so nicely and efficiently ! The firepit is amazing and we cooked all of our dinners over the open flame ! This place is so worth it and we absolutely will return. I miss it already !!

Awesome place right on the river. Not for everyone as there is no running water and generator only electricity, but it's perfect for us. Quiet, private, out in nature. Perfect! Thanks again!

Camp David

This was my 4th, but not last, stay at Camp David. It’s beautiful, safe, private, and fun. The cabin is lovely and very clean, and has everything I need! The surroundings are awesome, as the cabin sits right on the Tippecanoe River. There are several state parks nearby, and even more county parks, in the area. I can’t wait for my next visit!!

Really enjoyed staying here over New Year’s Eve! Quiet and basic which is what I wanted. David is such a good host and did check in on me from time to time to see if I needed anything. Looking out towards the tipicanoe river was beautiful, even saw a bald eagle fly by! The propane wall heater was sufficient enough on low to keep the cabin warm even at 28° outside. There is an off leash dog park near by, and a delightful little market (Harvest Moon) nearby. Would definitely recommend this place!

Camp David is the best! It’s private and the host is very nice. The cabin is cozy and cute, and just feet away from the beautiful Tippecanoe River. The campfire area is absolutely great, with plenty of firewood available.

David was a great host, the cabin was clean and comfortable, location on river was peaceful and serene. The wall heater took off the morning chill. I will definitely be making another trip. I was there during the Walk of Courage Festival, enjoyed walking around there found a few trinkets to take home.

We loved David’s property! The campfire, River, and trails inside were great! David was extremely hospitable and was ready to help with anything we needed. It’s important to note that there is no running water, or pluming (compost toilet with wood chips) however, he provided us with several full jugs of filtered water. We had a great time and I would highly recommend David’s camp to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun getaway!

Cozy cabin by the river

This was the perfect cabin for me, my boyfriend, and our dog💜 we stopped for two nights so we could see the indiana dunes! It was very cozy and had everything we needed. The porch and backyard by the river were very peaceful. I enjoyed sitting on the porch swing watching the hummingbirds. David was also very friendly!

Great place to stay

If you love Semi primitive camping you will love this place as much as we did . David is a great host along with his pup named river.. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property with us all. Some of the many amenities provided are a nice firepit/grill set up. A propane 2 burner outside ,an a single propane burner inside for cooking and heating water so you don't have to haul your own. You you will need to bring pans ,utensils, bedding including air matress or cot maybe. There is no power unless you run the generator. I would suggest bringing you own power battery packs or solar chargers for phones and electronics. A small battery inverter is possible to runs Fans and such in summertime. He provides many battery operated lights. Also in cooler weather there is a propane wall heater.. There is a lot of outside seating including Benches,Swings,Patio table and chairs. As well as lawn chairs to sit by the Beautiful River front. Can't say enough good things about this place We will definitely be back soon.

Camp David rules!

Camp David is an oasis in northern Indiana. I’ve stayed here a few times now and love it a little more every time. It is very hard to leave, but I’m so happy David has made this place available. All you need to bring is a sleeping bag, pillows and food with cooking implements (Dutch oven or pans). David has a grill top for the fire and two burner propane stove. He also has air mattresses you can borrow. Highly recommend doing the river float as well! Will definitely be back soon!
