Love the water? Bring your boat and take it for a spin on the Pend Oreille River to Lake Pend Oreille. Launching is a short distance away at the Mud Hole, Priest River City Beach or Riley Creek Campground. Try your hand at fishing for bass, kokanee, perch, northern pike, and trout in the river or on the lake. Wake up in a peaceful woodsy setting where elk, deer, the occasional moose and turkeys roam the property and are often seen in the meadow. Camp surrounded by Old Growth Cedars and towering Grand Fir, stargaze by night, enjoy a campfire, smores and time with your family.
Load up your ATV, side by side or motorcycle and head for Priest Lake right from here. It’s a 21 mile (50 minute ride) to Coolin, ID. Enjoy the back county and take some of the IDL roads along the way to explore scenic drainages and in July/August pick some luscious huckleberries (the state fruit of Idaho) for a pancake or milkshake treat. In the fall, a nice central location for hunting camp.
Want to go skiing or enjoy the summer lift ride? Head up to Schweitzer Mountain, about an hour drive away (37 miles/56 mins). The city of Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille - Idaho's largest lake is a half hour away (26 miles/33 mins) and Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, ID is approximately an hour away (45 miles/58 min).

We loved camping at Matt and Deb's campground, everything was in pristine condition. The access was easy, and the fire pit and the grill area were clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend staying at this campground as it is just a short drive to multiple lakes and recreational areas.
Matt and Debbie are the perfect hosts! They greeted us with smiles and showed us where to camp... Matt helped my sisters unhitch from the truck ( the latch was stuck) and hook up...they're property is very convenient to town and easy in and out... the porta potty is the cleanest I've ever seen!!! Night lights scattered throughout the sites, very pretty and handy at night! Fire pits with wood neatly stacked for use... they thought of every thing....I would recommend to anyone in search of peace and quiet...and wildlife viewing....

Matt & Deb have a gorgeous spot with several campsites just outside of Priest River. We had one of the two sites with electricity and water and were able to easily get into the site with our 35 ft 5th wheel. We were lucky enough to be the only campers there and enjoyed the quiet and solitude. We woke up one morning with two fawns and mama walking through our camp. Matt & Deb could not have been nicer or more helpful. We had some scheduling issues and had to leave earlier than we planned. We were very disappointed to have to leave such a nice spot.
We stayed at under the cedars camp site. The hosts Deb and Matt are great people. The sites are set-up with the camper in mind. Was so quiet and peaceful. Seen wildlife every morning. A great location, 4 miles from town of Priest River Idaho. But far enough away to be secluded and relaxing .Excellent location to explore all the local places. Recommend to everyone to stay for a great experience. Stan and Gina.
Under the Cedars was a lovely quiet place but close enough if you need to get to town. Matt and Deb were very helpful to us as we are new to RV-ing and accommodating with our special requests.
Matt and Debs Under the Cedars was fantastic! We had no cell signal so it allowed us to really relax. Such helpful hosts in a wonderful spot. FYI: they have hidden painted rocks around the campsites which I moved. See if you can fine them! Thank you for a great get away.

A perfect small peaceful place to camp. Used it as home base for a few days while exploring Priest River, Priest Lake, and Sandpoint. Matt and Deb were awesome hosts and have done a great job with the campsites. Will definitely stay with them again when back in the area. One note... there is no cell signal or Internet so you'll need to drive about 10 minutes if you want to connect.
