cool small farm, great for kids
Kellie was an awesome host and the camping site was nicely cleared and able to accommodate three large tents. Lots of thoughtful details like citronella candles, a nice grill, and fire pit. Stars were incredibly bright at night, but the clear highlight of the stay was the opportunity to meet all of the farm animals, especially their pet dinosaur (aka, Teddy the emu) and witness the wonderful caretaking that all of these animals required. It can sometimes feel weird to stay on strangers’ land, but Kellie and her whole family were warm and welcoming (while also totally allowing us privacy). This was a particularly great stay for small kids, and for any adults who are curious about what it takes to run a small farm. It was very cool to meet the turkeys, pigs, mini donkeys, calves, goats, and check out the incubator, baby chicks (and baby emu!!) and the whole set up.
