The Redwater Revival Campground joined Hipcamp and was open during the 2020 summer season. Herb met and accommodated many wonderful guests and had a blast doing it.
The red bluff in the background was a very strategic vantage point for early Indigenous Americans for hunting game that roamed the creek bottom.
The rest of this exciting story will have to be heard when you get here.
The Redwater Creek is full of Brown and Rainbow trout. They are sneaky little buggers that can actually hear your footsteps when you are fishing along the bank.
Please make sure that you stay with us for some very restful mesmerizing sleep along our part of the creek at the Redwater Revival Campground.

Weekend Trip to Naked Acres WY
Our stay at Melissa’s Hipcamp site was incredible! The cabins were so nice and cozy, and the outdoor kitchen and shower were great. The property is beautiful and we were so happy we got to stay there on our road trip. I only wish we could have been there for longer!! We will definitely be coming back!

Directions were very easy to follow and set up of campsites was logical and well spaced apart. We were the only ones there that night. Stayed at site 4. The toilet was a portable unit. Very clean. We got surprised that the water was turned off for the season but our host brought us water from his place which was plentiful. We recommend!

This getaway in the magical Black Hills was such a nice retreat. The cabins are cozy (I slept so well!) and the host has thought through so many of the small details that make for a great stay - ample towels and kitchen supplies and a well-stocked shower.

Weekend Trip to Naked Acres WY
So thankful to Missy and Chris for sharing their property! They are not only gracious hosts, but just really wonderful humans. The duo cabin set up is amazing! They had everything you need to to relax, cook, and enjoy nature. We also had great neighbors that joined for a fire at night and swapped stories while enjoying the evening. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the outdoor shower is a heavenly way to wash off a day of exploring. I can't wait to spend more time at Naked Acres!

This is the second time we have stayed here. It's always quiet and clean. It's is a little off the beaten path but if you are ready to unwind and start or finish a road trip this is a great spot. New castle has a great grocery which helps for forgotten items.

Beautiful site, beautiful views, clean and well care for. Stayed in site #4 with a 16 ft trailer, it was perfect. Very private and quiet. Creek is sparkling clean and cool. Herb is a super friendly host. Highly recommend.

Beautiful little spot!!! The creek behind camp was awesome, very peaceful and the water was super clear. Lots of wildlife including rabbits, birds, and deer wandered through. Also fireflies!
You can just barely hear the freeway from camp but I was able to ignore the sounds pretty easily. Besides that the spot was very quiet and a great location. Would stay here again!

Melissa and Chris were very welcoming & their property is absolutely gorgeous. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing getaway with beautiful scenery & wildlife. The pond was a great added bonus. The cabins were so charming and we didn’t want for anything, as everything was already thought of by the hosts. We will definitely be back and plan on bringing some friends as it’s a must see. Also the drive in was surrounded by wildflowers. Stunning!

It was such a wonderful experience!! It felt very private and secluded even though we were only about 10mins from the interstate. You could hear the interstate a little, but was very quiet! It was a beautiful area and the creek was fun to play/swim in. Our dogs had a blast too! We were very lucky to have the whole place to ourselves. Definitely would come back to this site!

Melissa and Chris were amazing hosts! The location is unbelievably beautiful and peaceful. The cabins are small and tidy and were perfect for my husband and me in the bedroom cabin and our teenage son in the kitchen cabin with futon. They have a friendly dog that got along well with ours. Chris stopped by to make sure we didn’t need anything. We enjoyed it immensely and would definitely recommend this stay!!
(Outhouse was also very clean)

We were lucky enough to spend two amazing nights at Red Water Revival! We LOVED IT! The land is gorgeous and peaceful (we were the only ones there!). So much wildlife just enjoying the natural environment! One of the best hipcamps we’ve stayed at! This is exactly the kind of place we like to camp at! Hope we can return one day. Herb provided water and firewood. Much appreciated.

Quick but memorable stay!
We only stayed one night at Off the Beaten Path at Naked Acres while passing through, but it was such a cool spot. Super peaceful—until a big thunderstorm hit 😅⛈️ Made for a wild night, but kind of added to the adventure. Chris was an awesome host, and the site was easy to find. Would definitely stop by again when we have more time (and better weather)!

We had a great time here, beautiful property bordered by a crystal clear stream. During the week we spent there, we were the only guests. Great views of the nearby buttes, lots to explore nearby. Herb was a great host, checking in on us occasionally to make sure we survived all the rain. He suggested some nearby sights to visit, and even put some extra gravel on the access road so we wouldn’t get stuck.
The campsites are situated along a wide strip of land along the stream. Sites 1, 2, 3 are closer together, 4 is the most private. There is a porta-potty near the first 3 sites, and just a short walk from site 4.
Birds and waterfowl are everywhere, and are your morning alarm clock. Geese, ducks, wild turkey, and deer may pass by for a visit.
Beautiful area, beautiful property, gracious host. We plan on visiting again with our family, next time.

Beautiful site on a clear creek with deer and turkeys to watch at dusk and dawn. There is a clean porta-potty at the site and a nice picnic table by the creek. Very private and safe. Herb is very attentive and eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There was a storm the night I was there and he was very concerned about me. Planning to come back here next year!
