We Grow: Regenerative Farm

Situated in the Chequamegon National Forest and within one mile access to the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, this property offers a launching point for your Northwoods adventures. Kayaks available. Our farm currently features a Gothic style tiny house to keep you warm and dry for whatever adventures await.

A large flock of laying hens free range on our entire farm. As a guest, you may find them in your front yard on occasion.

The cooking space includes a three burner gas stove. Kitchen essentials included: salt, pepper, coffee, tea, sugar, cooking oil. Dishes, flatware, pots and pans, and campfire cooking tools are on hand as well.

Cold season visitors will have to maintain a cozy wood fire for heat. Firewood is provided by host.

Fold down table is good for a small puzzle, card game or journaling with farm views out the window.

Koeller Century Farm

The farm has been in the family for four generations.
 We don't have any livestock anymore and rent the fields to the neighbors but the home, outbuildings and five acres are well-loved and used as our home base and also for rustic weddings, graduation parties, reunions and barn dances.
In 1974, the farm was used as the location for the TV movie "Things in Their Season" starring Patricia O'Neal.
We put up one of the first barn quilts in the county and are on the route of the Bike the Barn Quilts bike ride (held last Saturday in September.)

Pitch your tent or roll your RV up to a beautiful farmstead (we no longer have animals, crops only).  We are a rustic wedding / event venue located mid-way on the Mountain Bay Trail, Wisconsin's longest rail-trail which runs about 90 miles from Weston to Green Bay.   Fire pit available.  Views of farmland all around.  Quiet and peaceful but not secluded.   (See pictures on Facebook Country Events at the Koeller Century Farm.) You can move tent into the machine shed (wood chip floor) during severe weather.  There are electrical outlets to use to re-charge devices.

Ethereal Gardens

Clear cut in the 50's, and hit by a tornado in the 90's, this land has come a long way in being restored.  The forest has grown back, the tornado damage cleaned up, I'm currently working helping to reestablish native plants.  Adjacent to county forest land this land is teeming with life and has an almost supernatural feel to it at night...in fact, if your lucky you might see the dancing purple lights that have appeared from time to time.  Otherwise the fireflies provide their own light show :)Learn more about this land:Tents can camp anywheres on the property, RV's must stay at designated sites.  Farm is 3 acres field, the rest forest and wetlands with a small creek running through.  The property is part of the Harrison-Hewitt county forest.  It is a few short miles from the Eau Claire Dells, and only a mile or so from the Plover River Fishery, Springbrook(Trout fishing and kayak accessible) the Ice Age Trail.  It is 5 miles from WI Hwy 45 which is on the way to many points in the WI & upper MI Northwoods.  Its 25 miles from Granite Peak Ski area.  We have all sorts of wildlife; loons, turkey, grouse, foxes, red squirrels, wolves, black bear, a cougar, whitetail deer plus woodpeckers, plovers and songbirds and more.

Learn more about this land:We are open for winter camping, I have opened around 400 acres for you  to enjoy. Our peaceful property a once beautiful operating farm now growing back to its natural state with some farm fields still being utilized. We have mature hardwood forests to small streams and ponds scattered throughout. Check in as early as you want if no one is at the site. Many trails for biking or hiking. We have a few larger areas to accommodate multiple groups  check with us if you would like to see if we can accommodate you we are always happy to help.
