Bought to get grounded W.H.Y. did I purchase this 5 acres of land? This is my personal property I bought so I could get grounded while being surrounded by nature. Worth Healing Yourself is W.H.Y I invested in this land as well as myself! Enjoy rock hunting for agates, jasper, hematite, petrified wood and other mineral specimens. Property is 25 minutes from Richland Center. 30 minutes from Wisconsin Dells. Public land with miles of trout stream 3 miles away from the propertyy. The property has been in my family for over 40 years and was originally settled in the mid 1800's. It is about 10 acres and is primarily wooded with Cedar, Oak, Maple, Hickory and Birch. The topography is diverse, having steep heights, easy flats and everything in between; which makes hiking fun and interesting. The lower College Drive side features a historic limestone homestead and quarry, also a fossil rich creek-bed and rustic (4WD) road to the top. The upper property (Hwy. 52 access) offers a secluded forest as well as a spacious meadow. The woods are filled with birds and many other indigenous wild animals. We are only a half mile from towns edge and two miles from its center (also a five minute drive from Luther College). The Decorah area is well known for its scenic natural beauty and has extensive hiking trails, biking trails, cross-country ski routes, rivers, creeks and hunting areas. People come here year round for our outdoor recreation and beauty. Canoeing, Kayaking, Fishing, Tubing, X-country skiing, and Trail Riding are very popular activities around here. Bring a side-by-side or ATV and have a blast both on the property and around the area. Decorah has several museums, a movie theater, 2 golf courses and bowling alley in addition to dozens of charming shops and several restaurants. You'll never get bored staying at Cedar Springs.

The original log cabin is still part of the farmstead that originated back in the 1880's. The site was a family farm until around the 1940s. Also, the land was the Eastern banks of a large logging mill lake/pond 150 yrs ago, so the shoreline slopes do not allow campers in/out of the pasture areas. A popup would be feasible with a full size 4 wheel drive utility vehicle in river bottom/shorelines. Tents /Low impact camping are best. In 2019 a transition to Animal Therapy, Fishing Therapy, and Pastured pigs from New Zealand which originally were almost extinct because of their friendly nosey nature at times gets them into trouble. They graze on open pasture most of the year and rest in the sun next to a trout stream. Learn more about this land: We are a working farm with mostly rescued farm animals. Many of the animals have special needs here and live their lives as free-range animals. The river in the back is home to wonderful Brown Trout and smallmouth bass. Also at times, there will be a couple dogs being trained and worked with too. You select your location for your primitive camping experience. If any special needs for a person arise, such as cane, charcoal grill, camp lantern We keep a small shed with supplies even items like tarps, cots, sleeping bags, even fishing rods. The owner is a highly achieved angler that has been filmed for the "Discover Wisconsin" Television TV show. and is available for guided fishing adventures and education in the area for all species. Also, certain times of the year are excellent for wild plants and mushroom foraging. Note this is the Driftless area of Wisc. where no glaciers came through. We have bluffs and streams around every curve of the road. The Wisc. Rivers very close too and has great fishing as well. The neighbor of this farm also rents and performs livery service for kayaks, canoes on the Pine River. Many times of the year, fresh meats are sold right at the farm as well as homemade fishing lures ready for fishing adventures. Note: Many times I am at the river fishing or in the pasture planting and reforesting this former GMO corn farm after years of heavy spraying. With Maples, Willows, apple, pear, plum, oak while trying to manage the evasive plants too. Please understand rainfall, safety of small rivers/waterfront changes. If river front takes on water, camping is all moved from water edges. We do not allow any camper over 15 feet and you must have vehicle that can get through wet mowed fields if it rains since we are along a river/wet lands, if it were to rain we move vehicles to higher dry ground if they a low to the ground . We have a gentle sloped hillside here so always dry areas to park. Other vehicles park at the top of the pasture, in farm front yard and we transport all gear to the river front. Small low to the ground cars are not wise here as there are 4 rain water trenches in the bottom 10 acres the keep rain water draining to ward the river.

Open floor plan includes a full kitchen, dining area and living space with a cathedral ceiling. The cabin and grounds are filled with original art from artists across the United States (some available for purchase). Enjoy the beautiful sunsets and amazing views of the Kickapoo Valley Reserve State Park (8,600 acres) while swinging on the porch swing located on the porch that wraps around 3 sides of the cabin. The yard contains a picnic table, fire-pit, and direct access to the Kickapoo Valley Reserve and its trails. Please note that the cabin has a wheel chair ramp off the front porch and that the main Living room, Dining room and Kitchen are open design, however, shower/bathroom may not accommodate a wheel chair. Creekside Sounds campsite was a perfect retreat for us! The campsite was tidy and located right next to the creek, but also surrounded by a large open grass field. The space felt secluded while also not feeling any sort of confinement. Plenty of area for our dog to play and explore without bothering any one... or cows! Jolene was a great host and provided us with everything we needed to have a wonderful time on the farm! Although it was tucked off the main road and back in its own little area, it was not as far from town or other amenities as it typically would be for that type of seclusion. Would highly recommend Jolene and her campsites to anyone.... we even hope to return!

Beautiful, secluded campsite with a babbling brook running through!! The region is gorgeous in the fall. The outhouse was clean and well kept. Tai + Stella’s visitor guide and map were very informative and easy to follow. Logan brought us firewood and allowed us to enjoy the area in peace. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an escape out in nature.

Big Trout Creek site did not disappoint! We had everything needed for a perfect stay and buying firewood right there was very convenient. Jolene checked in with us a couple times which was nice as well. Our pup wasn't sure about the cows the first day but by the end of our stay made peace with them!

This is my 7th time camping at Creekside sounds, its one of my favorite places to camp. I usually camp in a travel trailer with my hubby but he was unable to make this trip, so I decided I would go solo and pitch a tent. I have camped for 35yrs but I had never gone by myself. Jolene's place is the perfect spot for solo females wanting to get out. Its safe, the host lives on the property and always introduces herself(and is a lovely person), neighbors are friendly, fellow campers are always nice, clean porta- potty and no bears. Sit back and enjoy the creek sounds and birds. Things to do, nothing just relax, hike at Great River Bluffs SP, explore the Mississippi River, drive the Apple Blossom scenic Byway, bike the Root River Trail.

What a gem! This magical valley offers private campsites with a meandering creek running by—perfect for cooling off on a hot day. Settle into your hammock with a book, then stargaze under some of the darkest, most breathtaking skies you’ll ever see. The resident herd of sheep adds so much charm—you can watch and listen to them as you relax. The outhouse is impressively clean and well-kept, and you can purchase nice-sized bundles of firewood right on site. Honestly, you don’t need to leave the property for a fun, restorative weekend. For a little adventure, hike up Rainbow Ridge and catch sight of the neighbor’s horses. Did I mention this place is magical? I can’t wait to come back!

Jolene's land took a piece of my soul. Seriously. Between the open space, perfect campfire ring, stargazing and burbling of the creek this was easily my favorite stay so far. The soft grass and sounds of the creek had my entire family sleeping soundly. No one wanted to leave this spot and we will be back. There was truly something serene and restful here.

We stayed at the second campsite in Beaver Haven. An amazing spot with the stream looping around it. Outhouses are in top notch shape! Fresh spring water was a plus too! The hosts are great at communication and offering assistance to their guests.
