The campsite entrance is directly off of Hwy 63. There's no fire number, but the gated gravel driveway is 1/4 mile to the north of 320th Ave.  Our house is on 320th Ave, and the quarry has it's own entrance.

Twin Folk Farms

Previously a 100 acre&nbsp;century farm, this fertile land was tended to by generations of old time&nbsp;farmers. Their dairy cows pastured in areas which we now graze sheep.&nbsp; The restored quarry provided gravel for the nearby highway restoration and local projects.The property is currently a mix of hay ground, cropland, pasture, forest, and quarry. Twin sisters, Darla and Kayla,&nbsp;and their families live across the road from each other and own the surrounding 140 acres. They keep busy planting/tending trees, making hay, moving fence for grazing animals, operating a farm business called Twin Folk Farms (pastured meat, camps, etc), and raising their families.Learn more about this land:- This site is at the edge of a restored quarry, sheep pasture, and wooded hillside.- The site is tucked down a flat mowed path, so it feels very private and protected. -  You can hike up a path to the sheep pasture. Sometimes sheep are there, sometimes elsewhere on the farm. You can hike the other direction and check out the restored quarry. We have paths all around the property, so feel free to respectfully explore.- You can't see the highway from this site, but you can hear it. It's super handy to be able to hop out of your campsite haven and onto the hwy, but be aware that you will hear vehicles.- There's a Mississippi river boat launch a few miles down the road, so feel free to park your boat at the bottom of the quarry driveway.- The Hay Creek riding trails are 25 minutes away, so contact us if you want to set up a place in the quarry to park your horses and trailer for the night. - We are certified to sell meat straight off of the farm (Twin Folk Farms), so contact us if you want to purchase your meat and have it delivered to your campsite. You can also set up a time to come up to the farm and purchase meat.&nbsp;- The beautiful, historic town of Red Wing is 10 minutes from our farm. You'll find a mix of modern amenities and historic shops to suit your fancy.

The entrance to the hipcamp site is on the East side of Hwy 63. The double gates are an easy landmark.

Hoppensteadt Hills

Come stay at our 37 acers of wooded land alongside of the Apple River. Enjoy the sights and sounds of nature amongst the rolling hills. 
This property has been in our family for generations. Come, stay and enjoy our property as we have for over 80 years. We provide secluded campsites with easy access and parking next to each site. Enjoy walking through our park- like trails which run throughout the woods. Listen to the wildlife, sit by the campfire, or enjoy canoeing, kayaking, or fishing on Apple River, and many other nearby lakes that our town has to offer. 
Downtown Amery is 2 miles away from the property. Enjoy small-town attractions, such as breweries, gift, antique, and thrift shops, outdoor music, grocery stores, coffeeshops, local restaurants, and bars.  
You can take a day trip to many of other small towns nearby, such as:
- Taylor Falls, for hiking or daily river cruises on St Corix River. Located 20 minutes west of Amery.
- Balsam Lake, for shopping, eateries, restaurants, and boating.  20 minutes NW of Amery.
-Osceola, take a hike and enjoy the views of Cascade Falls. Stroll around downtown's many shops located 20 minutes due west of Amery.
-Marine on St. Croix, 30 minutes west.
 -Stillwater which is under 45 minutes west.
We are just over an hour from the Twin Cities.

Fisher Cat Creek Forest Retreat

Four years ago,&nbsp;David and Veronica began designing and building structures in the 20 acre hardwood forest that Davids' father acquired back in 1969. Now they live there full time in an&nbsp;off-grid cabin with monthly seminars, campsites for rent and a passion for sharing the wonders of the forest.

Belle Creek Bluff

Belle Creek Bluff is on 28 acres of prime land in Welch.    Belle Creek runs through the middle of the property.   Walk, swim, paddle, fish and explore the this beautiful spring fed trout stream.   There are a number of hiking trails on the property.  Bordering state lands to the east of the property provide endless exploration and hiking adventures.  Hike to the top of the bluff for a spectacular view of Welch valley and the ski hill.  Hiking NE along Belle Creek can you spot the old model A truck along the banks?  There are eagles, falcons, finches, and many colorful birds to see. 

The swing is located on the trail between Mellow Yellow and Island Blue camps!

Full loft is yours for rest and relaxation. 

Cozy Lofted Barn Retreat

Welcome to Winter Willow Barn and Breakfast! Open mid-April through December 1st. 

Nestled in the heart of our family hobby farm, Winter Willow offers a cozy retreat with an optional home cooked breakfast. Wake to farm-fresh eggs, local breads, homemade jam and hot herbal tea. The property features wooded walking trails, swings, and a secluded fire pit for your enjoyment.

Enjoy your stay in our private and spacious (30X40) two-level historic barn and loft. Accessible by a modern staircase, your loft retreat features a queen bed with premium bedding, a trundle with two twin beds, inviting sofa, a pellet stove and cozy blankets, recycled floors, an antique wash stand and basin complete with soap, refrigerator, coffee corner with coffee maker (filters) and coffees/teas, and a children's corner featuring books and toys. Full electric as well.

Downstairs (not heated) features a small kitchen area with sink and propane stove/griddle and a bathroom area with a portable/flushing toilet. Plates, bowls and cutlery are provided along with cooking utensils and a handful of pots, pans, and bowls. Salt, sugar, and olive oil also provided. We provide filtered water and cream in the refrigerator upon your arrival, and for families with young children we have a gate to block the staircase and outlet caps for added security.

Twelve chickens are a part of our family, and you are welcome to feed the chickens clover or fresh flowers, and help us plant flowers or pick apples depending on the season! We also have two farm dogs and two farm cats who might want to say hello.

Queen bed with comfy bedding and high-end mattress. Bedside lighting for nightime reading. 

Coffee nook with fresh ground coffee, spring water in refrigerator, sugar and creamers. Two mugs await for a relaxing morning.

Serenity Valley

Come escape to 40 acres of peaceful Wisconsin wilderness—a true getaway from the noise and stress of city life. This is off-the-grid living at its finest. Nestled on this beautiful land is a charming 2015 Amish-built cabin that offers a cozy, rustic retreat surrounded by nature.

Enjoy your morning coffee or evening sunsets on the wrap-around porch, where you’ll likely spot plentiful wildlife in their natural habitat. During the summer, the land bursts with wild raspberries and blackberries for you to pick and enjoy.

Inside, you’ll find a warm and inviting space with a wood-burning stove, sitting area, and taxidermy décor that adds to the authentic rustic cabin atmosphere. The cabin comfortably sleeps up to six, with two double beds in the loft and one double bed on the main floor.

Step outside to cook over the outdoor fire pit, or take a peaceful walk along several private hiking trails on the property. Beyond our land, you’ll find picturesque lakes, charming local shops, and cozy restaurants just a short drive away.

We hope you enjoy this special place as much as we do—our little slice of paradise.

2-night minimum stay required.

Please note: There is no electricity or running water. There is an outhouse for guest use. There is also taxidermy inside the cabin, contributing to its rustic, nature-inspired charm. This is 12x24 cabin with a loft.

Rising Sun Farm And Orchard

We are an organic vegetable farm and apple orchard.  We also raise sheep, pigs, and make maple syrup.  Half the land is forested, some is pasture, and other is growing fields for vegetables.  We have an on farm store people visit daily.  The farm is 10 minutes from the town of River falls which is on the Kinnickinnic River and has some great trails and fishing.  We are about 45 minutes from St.Paul, MN.

We are also dog friendly up to 2 pups. So much to see and do!&nbsp;

Camp Crimson Turtle

Established by naturalists in the 1920's this parcel features a waterfront cabin (currently being restored), a two acre spring fed pond that is stocked with fish, a small stream and great privacy. We have had this as our family paradise and now we are sharing it with you!

We now offer a bohemian wagon if you would prefer to get up off the ground!  Available at site 1.

Electric available upon request for site number 2, other sites are quite far from electric hook up.  New toilet facilities available!! DeLeeuw Dens

A yurt tucked into the woods on 5.5 acres surrounded by public hunting and fishing grounds. An unforgettable escape with the many sounds of nature such as a gentle class one trout stream along the property. Birds galore, doe and buck have been spotted from the deck, crawfish have been caught, and much more! Bring your loved ones, make some memories, and disconnect for awhile. Happy glamping, friends!

Prairie View Camp

Enjoy the sweeping prairie and sunset views from your camping area.&nbsp; All sites have access to toilet facilities and water, each site has their own picnic table. Hike right from your tent onto 80 acres of prairie, woods and valley views. Lots of wildlife and wildflowers. Kayak the nearby Chippewa River. 

Shockingly few mosquitos for the upper Midwest due to the lack of standing water.

The campsites are located on a working homestead, complete with old farm house and gardens. 

Site 1, Bee Balm is shaded by nearby trees and is closest to the shower and toilet. If you are camping with a trailer we recommend the Bee Balm site as there is more space and better access.

The highlight of Site 2, Oak Grove,  is a shady grove of young oaks that you can set your tent up under.

Site 3, Meadowlark, is a tent site surrounded by prairie grass about 20' from where you park. It has a picnic table but no fire pit.

Good Root Growers

Tucked in a valley 70 miles east of St. Paul, our sanctuary of rolling hills, hardwoods, pines, and birch groves offers a peaceful escape. Explore 30 acres of meandering trails through woods and meadows planted as Monarch habitat. Enjoy nights alive with owls, coyotes, frogs, and brilliant stars.

This is a full sensory experience: birdsong at dawn, chickens foraging through the yard, deer in the fields, and turkeys in the trees. A true stargazer and birder’s delight.

Nestled amongst the rolling hills of the Northern most part of the Driftless region, you can find yourself enjoying wildlife and a sky full of stars. Whether camping by tent or car, lying in a hammock or in the comforts of your camper, Sassy Fox Acres is a relaxing stay. You will see the native plants blowing in the breeze, bees buzzing, and birds chirping. 

Minutes from a Class 1 and 2 brown trout fishing stream, Lake access for kayaking, or a short distance away to some great bikes trails. Just 10 minutes from freeway access makes it a convenient stop for a quick overnight stay or weekend trip to explore the area.  There is plenty to do in the area- So many yummy wineries, breweries, and restaurants.  Fire wood, eggs, produce, and more is available for purchase on site. Along with renting a hammock during your stay. 

I give campers as much privacy as possible. I check in with you through Hipcamp when you book and then again after you arrive to ensure your needs are being met. If you would like to meet in person and share some of your favorite places to stay across the country, I would welcome that. I love to camp too!

I have 3 rustic sites located on my 6 acre property. Each site is private, but you may see in the distance or hear others. Each site has its own firepit and picnic table, along with posts for hanging a hammock.

Please be respectful during your visit. Keeping noise to moderate levels so other guests and neighbors can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
