There are free range chickens running around during the day. Geese greet us every evening and morning at the pond...as do the many bullfrogs. Occasionally you'll hear the coyotes, but they keep their distance. The stars shine peacefully and the sunsets are picturesque (most afternoons). The pond is a great place to swim and fish. Our recent stay at Kriss and Shannon’s amazing farm was one of the most unique and memorable camping experiences we’ve ever had. They’ve done an incredible job creating a welcoming, and interesting farm environment, that feels both relaxing and inspiring. The camping options offered us as much privacy as we wanted, but more often we found ourselves happily spending time with our hosts—learning about the area, their farm operations, and their involvement in conservation and education programs. We were lucking to have had the pleasure of meeting their son, Eli, over coffee and muffins on the porch. He helped us map out a perfect day trip to Monroe and New Glarus, along with a short but awesome hike at Yellowstone Lake. Such an interesting and memorable stay. We will absolutely be back.

This was one of the best campsites I’ve ever been to! I can’t recommend this place enough. Extremely peaceful and quiet with great views, sheep, and some of the nicest cats and dogs ever. Extremely clean and high quality bathroom and shower! Coffee and baked goods in the morning was one of the best parts. Will definitely be coming back!

2 nights at Circle M Farm Stay: Camp or Glamp

My fiancé and I had the best time! Kriss and Shannon are the nicest hosts and have created the most beautiful and relaxing property imaginable. Even on a cold October evening we were super cozy in our camper van. The sauna is a must, as are the delicious baked treats Kriss makes from scratch every morning. There is no kitchen so you can’t cook, but there is a fridge if you wanna bring cold food. All the animals; the sheep, the chickens, the dogs, and especially the adorable cats, are so sweet and approachable. We’re already planning our next visit!

Such an adorable cozy and lovely area! The accommodations were nice and everything was well kept and clean and organized, lovely hosts as well! Would totally come back for sure during spring or summer season, came during harsh rain and wasn’t able fully explore and stay on site but was still such a nice experience! They also have a small shop and we were able to buy pumpkins! Very cute! Very lovely!

We have visited Circle M twice and hope to return every year. It is by far the best camping or glamping experience for children and families in the Driftless Area. It is a place for lifelong memories, including watching a shooting star, holding a baby lamb, and making s'mores at night.

The Feed Shed was a great weekend getaway from the city. We enjoyed the quiet and the cows. Our puppy loved have space to explore. The ground beef and eggs were delicious.

Comfortable and welcoming lodging. Heated bathrooms and friendly dogs to great you. Quiet respite away from distraction. It was fun to also see the various animals on the farm. Close to many regional attractions.

Host is super friendly, we got in late and she had built a fire for us. Campsite was wonderful for tent camping, amenities (including bathroom/porta john) were nice and clean. Great star visibility.

We really enjoyed our weekend here! We were close to Middleton, we enjoyed seeing the animals frequently on the farm, and the hosts were great communicators and very welcoming! There was a bit of walking (maybe 1/4 mile?) between the parking area and the camp site, which made setting up a bit difficult, but not terrible. Our site was private and spacious. There was definitely traffic noise, which we didn't mind and at night was like a white noise machine. The only bathroom was an outhouse, which my 10 year old struggled with, but that builds character right? :D

Weekend Trip to Oxbow Island on the Pine.

Gary was so warm and welcoming, the property was gorgeous. He was kind enough to show us where we could find wood, and in the morning we took a nice swim in the creek. The pigs (Tommy, mama, and more), horse (matrix), dogs (big one named Togo), and sheep were so much fun to see and interact with. Was a lovely time, can’t recommend enough
