We don't have any livestock anymore and rent the fields to the neighbors but the home, outbuildings and five acres are well-loved and used as our home base and also for rustic weddings, graduation parties, reunions and barn dances. In 1974, the farm was used as the location for the TV movie "Things in Their Season" starring Patricia O'Neal. We put up one of the first barn quilts in the county and are on the route of the Bike the Barn Quilts bike ride (held last Saturday in September.) During the Manitowoc County Fair, held from mid to late August, camping is exclusively available to those with paid reservations attending the fair. The Expo grounds will be closed from August 1 to August 31, but camping is open to the public from May until August 1, excluding the aforementioned dates. After the fair, the campgrounds will reopen from September 1 to September 30 before closing for the season. Our campground accommodates trailer, RV, and tent camping for single-night or weekly rentals, and reservations are not required. For your convenience, a camping night deposit box is located outside the Americollect Merchants Building for payments. Onsite amenities include restrooms and showers, ensuring a comfortable stay. I really enjoyed my time at Stoney Brook Acres! I didn’t really spend much time other than eating dinner and sleeping because I was on lake Winnebago. The boat ramp is just 10 mins away. I had some camper issues and the owner was EXTREMELY helpful in time of need. I would definitely stay again in the future.

We had a peaceful stay at Nancy and John’s farm. We chose to pitch our tent behind the outbuildings near the cornfields which blocked the security lights. We appreciated the flush toilet and enjoyed dinner around the fire pit. This is a great site for those looking for some solitude and privacy.

Great stay! They’re farm is BEAUTIFUL. Nice grass you can camp on wherever you want. The fire pit is well maintained and the bathroom/ sink are all clean. They even let us charge things in the barn. John was very kind and told us the history of his family on the farm. If we’re in Wisconsin again we will happily camp here!

Nancy and John’s land was absolutely stunning. Nancy sent a very in depth message of great spots to set up for the night and also where to find the toilet, etc. There land was very easy to find! Once we got set up we started a fire and hung out there for a night. John came over to say hi and make sure that we were able to find everything okay and had a great conversation. Would definitely stay here again!

6 nights at Stoney Brook Acres

We stayed 6 nights at Stoney Brook Acres. The host, Leroy, greeted us and helped us get connected to electric, sewer, and water. It's a big lot with a beautiful view of farmland. We put our chairs out and enjoyed the view. Leroy set out a smokeless fire pit for our use and offered us firewood. The step to our motorhome was high for a couple of short ladies, and Leroy built us a wooden platform to give us a lift up. He was friendly and helpful all the time. We would definitely return if in the area. Using his camp as a jump-off point, we visited a local winery (Zeigler), drove to Sheboygan to visit the Kohler Art Preserve, shopped at Vern's Cheese in Chilton and visited the beautiful town park with our dogs. The EAA flyin was happening in OshKosh and we enjoyed seeing occassional planes flying overhead.

My husband and I stayed at Judith's this past weekend and had a blast. She made sure that everything was just right. Nice and clean. She had firewood ready for us. We also loved that there was a gate for us to close once we were in for the night. She also had free range chickens 🐔 that came to visit once we had arrived. I also have to mention Woodys Bar and grill, awesome food!!! Thanks again Judy, we will be back!

This was my first stay using hip camp and I loved it! The location at the farm is beautiful!!! And very, very peaceful. Surrounding area is also beautiful! It was perfect to take my motorcycle out to ride. My dogs and I really enjoyed the property space and got to spend time outdoors. Very nice place for a weekend get away! Directions/instructions were super clear. The dogs loved having a place to run, and the fireworks over the lake was a super nicd bonus (4th of July). Dont let the weather drive you away! The constant breeze was wonderful. Even when it rained it was still enjoyable and not muddy!

We had a very nice stay. Google Maps brought us to the wrong entrance but we easily pulled back on the road to go over to the correct entrance. Utilities all worked well. We also used the laundry facilities which were nice and clean. Excellent access to the path by the lake.

We truly enjoyed our camping experience at The village inn we could camp go to lake Michigan across the street which has beautiful beautiful beaches which you can walk for a long time and a awesome bike hot path also the village inn has a swimming pool and hot tub or not only the hotel but the campers to enjoy as well we met many folks that came from all around different states such as Arkansas Arizona Alabama everybody was very friendly also it was kind of cool we weren't aware but they had their once a year car show that Joe right past the campsite which lasted about an hour I should say car parade The campsites are small but that did not bother us at all
