This place is a private spot on about 80 acres. There is a wonderful path through the woods to the top of a hill for stargazing at night. The catch and release pond is across the street on their property and just the perfect size. There are multiple trails throughout the property. Lots of wildlife and beautiful nature to immerse yourself in. The hostess is very friendly and accommodating. Oh, I would highly recommend getting the lights to surround your tent area to make it easy to find your way back if you night hike. This is the perfect place to unplug!

Just minutes from town but you couldn’t tell that from our location. Torren met us at the site and was accommodating to anything we needed. Absolutely a 5 STAR campsite and host. We chose this site for a fall friends trip and couldn't have been happier about the spot! Gorgeous views, attentive host, and decent seclusion. The site was well maintained and the retreat wasn't crowded with too many camping spots. Almost zero road noise so evenings were very peaceful. Had a great stay at Stanley's "Mountain Trailer with Views" campsite! We needed a place to stay for a work weekend, and every nearby place was booked up, but at Stanley's we felt we had an even better time than our co-workers who'd gotten a hotel room. The views were beautiful and it was certainly a step up from tent camping! Maybe a little dusty, but the trailer was sanitary with a working stove, comfy beds, and hot water, so we didn't mind. Great potential and a fun weekend getaway - wish we'd had the chance to check out the trails on the property, but we'll be back next time!

Huntington Surrounds

Huntington and its immediate surroundings offer plenty to discover for nature lovers. The Paul Ambrose Trail for Health is a multi-use trail stretching more than 18 miles along the Ohio River, open to cyclists, runners, and walkers. It passes through various points of interest like scenic overlooks and historical sites. One stop is Ritter Park, a favorite spot for outdoor activities that boasts over 100 acres of green space. The Huntington Museum of Art features serene outdoor gardens and sculptures, and the Heritage Farm Museum and Village has a charming petting zoo and provides a glimpse into the region's past.

New River Gorge National Park & Preserve

Head east along I-64 and arrive in this outdoor lover's paradise in around two hours. Recently upgraded to national park status, it's known for its world-class rapids–whitewater rafting and kayaking are especially popular here.
