Weekend Trip to Olde Tyme Cabins

The location was perfect! We felt secluded in our little camp and were able to hike up the hillside nearby. We loved the campfire with the lights strung around, and there were roasting sticks in one of the RV cubbies. The hot tub was amazing. We did get rained out of the hot tub, since there is no awning over it, but once the rain stopped, we were able to enjoy again. The master bed was comfortable, and the bunk beds have a curtain to keep lights out for later sleepers. We camped in mid-November and stayed warm and cozy the whole time. Our only complaint was the water. It never quite worked well enough to shower, and washing dishes was frustrating. We did let our hosts know, and they came quickly to work on it, which helped for a short while, but didn't last the duration.

What a sweet couple and adorable area they are creating! There is a hotdog stand, with an outdoor patio, where you pick up your key. Then, you climb a gravel hill to your place. We had Cabin #1 which was decorated with cactuses. It was warm and cozy with lots of space inside. We got settled in nicely and ventured off to Tygart Lake State Park. Thank You for a nice welcome and a cute place to stay for the night.

Spent a weekend during the fall season of 2025. Perfect cabin tucked away in a different section away from most of the RVs. The river runs next to it which will be wonderful during rains and when the water levels are up. We traveled as a family of 4 whereas the cabin can sleep 9 - 2 bunk beds for 4 kids. Elkins town is about 10 -15 minute drive for all groceries - Kroger, Walmart and all essentials. Strongly recommend for people who love to enjoy an RV park but want to maintain their own personal space..

Looking for a unique getaway? I highly recommend yurt camping! My recent trip was fantastic. The yurt was incredibly private, giving us a true sense of being out in nature without sacrificing comfort. It was also very well-supplied and had everything we needed, which made packing and planning so much easier. The yurt and the surrounding area were spotless and super clean, and the whole experience was just plain fun. It's the perfect mix of rustic adventure and cozy relaxation. Great little spot in the woods! Yurt was very comfortable with soft mattress, microfiber sheets included! The yurt has electricity, lots of games available, a firepit, with a bundle of dry firewood. The deck is large and has a sink with running water near the side and table. Tiki torches are available, if it hasnt just rained, they work and theres a lot of tiki torche oil. The host was nice and brought over some extra hanging lights and check in to make sure we were all good. Great place to stay

Loved the cabin! It was private and spacious both inside and outside. It had a fridge, microwave, A/C, and table with chairs inside, as well as a bar table on the porch and another table by the firepit. Bathhouse with a shower down the hill, compost toilet right by the cabin. The hill to reach the cabin is extremely steep, but I was able to make it up in a Jeep without using 4wd. Host were friendly and welcoming.

Alex was very responsive and helpful. The yurt was stocked with firewood and fire starter. I will say the air mattress bed is not the most comfortable though.
