The setting was beautiful. The ferns and green trees surrounding the river and the campsite were gorgeous. We enjoyed walking to the beach and exploring the walking bridge across the river. The waterfall was abundant and overflowing due to the recent spring rains.
Vincent was very welcoming and helpful when we asked for help backing into the RV4 campsite with a tree and the electrical box framing the site.
Unfortunately, there is one main of reason why we will not visit this campground again. Luckily as we were arriving, we did not pass any other vehicles on the windy narrow road. The very narrow road into the campground proved to be a bit dangerous on our way out with our travel trailer as we approached another large truck with 3 cars behind it. Luckily there was minimal damage to the other truck and our rig. No one was hurt but it was very scary. Other reviewers used the words “sketchy” and “narrow” to describe the road. I would advise future travelers to use caution before deciding on this campground.

It was our maiden voyage in our new travel trailer. We wanted to pick a camp close to home and had never been down to Brooklyn Heights. We were very pleased! The sites are beautiful and wooded. The trip from Parsons to the camp was challenging but definitely doable (our camper is 18 feet). We are going to come back later this summer to check out the great swimming hole!

We had a wonderful experience at this campground! The owner was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful—going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. The campground itself is beautiful, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere that made our stay truly relaxing. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out. We truly appreciated the hospitality and can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

Weekend Trip to Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Camp
My second stay at Brooklyn. Heights. It was rainy so I chose a cabin but there are some nice tent spots on the river. Super clean portapottis and Vincent is around to answer questions or take care of any problems. I particularly like that campers are expected to keep music confined to their campsite, so it's always pretty quiet.

Vincent was very welcoming and we could tell he puts a lot of thought into the campground and the visitor's stay. Can't wait to see what he has in store for the future. As for site B3, it offers a fair amount of privacy and room. We were able to set up a tent and canopy, with plenty of room to reconfigure once we realized rain was coming. No picnic table and some spots are at an angle, so plan accordingly. Plenty of firewood to pick up in the surrounding woods. We will be reserving site B3 for our next visit!

Great campground along a beautiful river. Quiet and clean. The owner has went to great lengths to preserve trees that provide shade and a buffer between sites. I've stayed at this campground multiple times and will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our time with Vince at Brooklyn heights. Campsite was nice and secluded with plenty of shade and trees to hang a tarp. The site had a firepit and they had firewood for sale, but we opted to just use our solo stove and wood chips we brought from home. There is no picnic table so remember to bring a folding table. The toilets are just porta-potties, but they were kept very clean. There was a sink for washing dishes which was convenient. Overall we really enjoyed our time with Vince and the other camp hosts and hope to be back soon :)

2 nights at Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Camp
My husband and I stayed at Brooklyn Heights for the second time, and it was just as amazing as we remembered—if not better! We went on a beautiful hike with stunning views, spent a relaxing afternoon playing on the beach by the river, and met some awesome, friendly people during our stay. The cabin was cozy and comfortable—such a peaceful place to unwind after a day of exploring. Brooklyn Heights has definitely become one of our favorite spots, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Great campsite and a ton of options depending on what you're looking for. If you have kids, you can't ask for more, as the campsite sit on both an easy to bike road and a placid part of the Dry Fork of the Cheat River to play in -- would be great for inner tubes when it's warm. The campsite was very quiet and tidy and they even had a coffee station, which was very appreciated. I will definitely be back! Vince is also a very welcoming host and checked in a couple times, which is always great.

Love this campground. Vincent was really helpful, upgraded me to a cabin when weather looked rough. Really beautiful area, right on the river. There is a nice communal sitting area and a communal fire pit. Lots of different types of sites, something for everyone.

The campground is nicely situated in a valley away from public eye. We were the only ones staying at the primitive tent site for two nights. The campsites are nicely nestled within tall trees that provide plenty of wood for the fire. The campground does offer firewood for a great price. Unfortunately we had brought our own wood, but there was also plenty of wood to forage for and we ended up leaving a nice pile for the next camper. Watch for small branchs and twigs falling. The wildlife viewing was pretty awesome and the night sky was great for stargazing. Dont forget to bring a hammok for your site. Highly recommend this location. PS, very clean toilet!!!!

Brooklyn Heights Campground is a fantastic place to stay! The campground is well-maintained and very clean, making for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The host was amazing—friendly, welcoming, and attentive to guests’ needs.
One thing to note is that it can get quite windy, so be prepared if you’re tent camping or setting up an awning. That said, the price was very fair for the quality of the facilities and hospitality. Overall, a great spot for a relaxing getaway!
