Hello Campers! Our property is 16.5 acres, two of which are along the Tygart Valley River and the rest are within forest canopy on the mountainside. We are in the low foothills of the Appalachia. Each site is equipped with a steel fire pit/grill and a picnic table. We have been busy building hiking trails and more primitive campsites on the 14.5 acres on the hillside across the road from the riverfront for all to enjoy.

There are 300+ acres of public land less than one mile away with miles of ATV and hiking trails and stocked ponds. If you're a fan of waterfalls just 4 miles down river is Arden Falls, one of our areas best kept secrets. The Tygart Valley River is one of the top kayaking rivers in the country. Audra State Park is less than 20 minutes away with lush forest trails with caves to explore. Well known hiking trails such as Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, and the Dolly Sods are all within an hour drive. Go to Nelson Rocks for the ultimate climbing experience on the Via Ferrata.

We began operating our 150 acre farm in 2011 and became the first Certified Naturally Grown Livestock farm in West Virginia in 2013. We raise 100% grass-fed beef, Western and Chinese medicinal herbs. Our family garden supplies more than half of our vegetables and our favorite berries, and our flock of chickens supply eggs and an early morning wake-up call for our campers! We are 3 miles from Terra Alta, a rural town with a locally owned restaurant and a local craft beer brewery featuring an exciting rotating cast of food trucks. We are 20 minutes from Swallow Falls State Park (MD), featuring Muddy Creek Falls, awesome river swimming and gorgeous hiking in an old growth Hemlock forest. We are also 20 minutes from Herrington Manor State Park (MD) were there is a lake for swimming, fishing, and canoeing. Cathedral State Park (WV) a virgin Hemlock forest with 400 year old trees about 45 minutes away. Deep Creek Lake (MD) is 40 minutes away and offers motor boat rentals, Golf, Skiing and swimming. There is skiing, hiking, biking, tubing, rafting, kayaking and much more to explore within 40 minutes of our farm. The best white water rafting on the east coast is 20-40 minutes away.Farm products are available for purchase on-site. Campers can choose to to have a farm to table meal cooked for them as an extra at checkout. We prepare most of our food from scratch using local produce, meat and bulk organic dry goods. We occasionally make yogurts, noodles, simple cheeses, and fermented foods.We welcome campers of all kinds!

This spot is best for a van camp location but plenty of space for tents and hammocks. You'll find a drive-up deck if you wish to park there. Firewood is available providing you use downfalls as kindling in the stone fire pit. A 8x20' deck and picnic table are 20 feet from the fire for stargazing. When the ferns are full grown they are 3 feet tall and everywhere. A 10 minute walk takes you through a dense pine forest with large rock formations and a nice creek with many gurgling fall areas. If there looks like a cave amongst the large rocks, then it probably is a bear den.
There is a lot to do near by. Some note worthy locations :
Cranberry Glade Lake (good for kayaking or fishing), Ohiopyle, 7 Springs, Fallingwater, Living Treasures, Caddie Shak, and Hidden Valley are all about 25 minutes away. This property also borders Laurel Ridge State Park.

This is retired farm in the middle of nowhere. We have a lake that is stocked with trout, catfish, bass and whatever else is in there. The lake is catch and release only. Fee for fishing. All the sites are located with in walking distance next to the famed boat rental Hazelbakers! Our sites are on or near the Yough Riverbank. Although the train runs near by a few times a day, it will hardly be noticed while you are enjoying the beauty of the area. The Allegheny Passage bike trail runs nearby across the river. You can access it using the Layton bridge that crosses the river over our property.
We have a very strict no asshole policy. If you are an asshole or plan to bring an asshole with you please go camp at the KOA. Camping is not an all night or two day tailgate party, hooping it up, drinking or doing drugs all night on your weekend off with 20 of your friends. Camping at our sites should be calm and relaxing. Other campers and people in general should not have to hear you, your music, or your fun and you should not have to hear theres. We have a strict no generator rule, no guns, no fire works, no amplified or loud music and again no assholes. Your neighbor may not like your music. If you must listen to music use head phones.
Please do not leave any thing at the site when leaving and leave it better than you found it.
The boat rental store sales snacks, ice and bait. It does not sell wood or large water bottles. Campers should bring water. We do not have showers but do have running hot and cold water in the change rooms at the boat rental.
Port-a-pottys are near by. Please use them. Do not poop in the woods and leave your shit paper laying there. That's gross.

All the sites are located with in walking distance next to the famed boat rental Hazelbakers! Our sites are on or near the Yough Riverbank. Although the train runs near by a few times a day, it will hardly be noticed while you are enjoying the beauty of the area. The Allegheny Passage bike trail runs nearby across the river. You can access it using the Layton bridge that crosses the river over our property.
We have a very strict no asshole policy. If you are an asshole or plan to bring an asshole with you please go camp at the KOA. Camping is not an all night or two day tailgate party, hooping it up, drinking or doing drugs all night on your weekend off with 20 of your friends. Camping at our sites should be calm and relaxing. Other campers and people in general should not have to hear you, your music, or your fun and you should not have to hear theres. We have a strict no generator rule, no guns, no fire works, no amplified or loud music and again no assholes. Your neighbor may not like your music. If you must listen to music use head phones.
Please do not leave any thing at the site when leaving and leave it better than you found it.
The boat rental store sales snacks, ice and bait. It does not sell wood or large water bottles. Campers should bring water. We do not have showers but do have running hot and cold water in the change rooms at the boat rental.
Port-a-pottys are near by. Please use them. Do not poop in the woods and leave your shit paper laying there. That's gross.

We had a great time on Jim’s property. We set out to do a winter campout using our hot stove tent but the weather had other plans! We still used the stove at night, but the weather during the day was unseasonably warm and gorgeous. The wooden deck was a great spot to set up our camp kitchen and we enjoyed some smash burgers under the stars.
The site felt very private and was a great place to chill after spending the day hiking in Ohiopyle (only about 25 minutes away). Would highly recommend this site. Thanks, Jim!

Nice and quiet and secluded. Firewood was there. It was a cold night and was able to setup my tent no problem and park onsite. Directions to site were accurate. Note there is no phone service there, which was not an issue. Had the best night of sleep Ive had in years.

This is a great spot to tent camp under the trees, enjoy a campfire (with firewood supplied!), and stargaze at a relatively secluded spot. The hike down to the creek is beautiful! I would definitely return to this spot.

Tommy's place is gorgeous land! There are nice fields and woods. It felt entirely safe for women to camp alone. It was easy to find using the instructions and we didn't need 4wd. Would definitely go back!
Tommy is delightful and didn't make fun of me when I said I saw a big bear. It was really a cow in the neighbor's pasture, way off in the distance.

We enjoyed Site #4. On end, no one drove by us. On bank of rive.r. little path through over growth to the river. Campsites side by side. Luckily only one quiet person next door to us for one of the two nights.
Def offf main road, 3 miles. About 15 minutes to town of Phillippi, WV.
Owner came first night with wood. Get what ya need then...like 4 big bundles for two nights. We ran out with just two. Enjoyed the moonrise and stars!!!!

The campsite was a little tricky to drive back to. Definitely a job for an SUV. That being said, once we pulled up it was nothing but fall leaves, green ferns and dense trees all the way around. Fire wood and a fire pit as promised. Perfect spot for our tent, camp chairs and the all important camp potty. We took our pup and had no issues whatsoever. It is a beautiful site. On Saturday we made our way to Ohiopyle for some hiking. We had a great time. I would definitely recommend this HipCamp.

This was perfect for what I was needing. Nothing fancy, a field on the edge of the woods with a firepit. It felt very private, but wasn't far at all from the road. I parked near my site so I didn't have to haul anything to my site. Great experience!

Wonderful Space removed from the road. Public Winery right across the street. Wildlife from wild turkey to Red tailed hawks were all around us. Hammock camping worked out well, but 4-6 Person tents also fit the deck quite well. I will be back!

Our site was just beautiful!! Surrounded by the river with its rocky banks, native flowers, and a huge chestnut tree that made a natural canopy for our picnic table. It was so peaceful, yet so alive!

A buddy and I were both a little wound up with the daily grind. (Work, Kids, sports). We were looking for a quiet place to disconnect and enjoy being away from it. Earthsky worked out great, riverside, flat sites, and limited sites. We were there for 3 nights and had the whole place to ourselves. Dusty came down and introduced himself and gave us the run down. Will definitely come back.

Great peaceful stay on Tommy’s farmland, and he was so accommodating! He came out to meet me at the road going into his usual camping area, and when I expressed concerns about my van’s low clearance, he let me camp up on a gravel driveway that was level-ish that led to his horse barn. It was much closer to the road, but there isn’t a lot of traffic - so this was a great idea and big favor on his part to help me out. The road from Snake Hill Road to his farm was narrow, but the neighbors were very nice in getting over to help with passing one another. All in all, a great place at a great price - and I’d stay again if in the area.

I had such a wonderful experience at Earth Sky’s River Front Camping Spot. The camping area itself was absolutely beautiful — peaceful, scenic, and the perfect place to relax on the river. Emily and her husband were incredibly kind and welcoming, going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They even had an extra amenity available and provided me with firewood, which made my evening by the river even more enjoyable. Their recommendations for Arden Falls and other sightseeing spots were spot on — each one was tranquil and worth the visit. I couldn’t have asked for a better camping getaway!
