This is for the adventurous Hipcamper that appreciates the bumpy dirt road. Your Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla won't get you here. Cell service is limited. It is not recommended to arrive after sunset But it is so worth it. Come relax and enjoy the views of the Columbia River and the North Cascades. Plenty of sunshine with epic sunsets, our property is where you come to unwind and soak in the sun when the west side of the Cascades is socked in with clouds and rain. If you want to explore the area, it's about a 10-minute car ride to the Columbia River and 20 minutes to Chelan and all that is offered there. Our favorite activities when we visit are to listen to the birds chirp and take in the surroundings. There are several lava rock piles that speak to the long and volcanic geological history of the area. We also really enjoy walking the dirt road on the ridge. It provides some of the most incredible views in the area. The dirt road section over the ridge can be a little rough and dusty and it's recommended that guests have a medium clearance vehicle, such as a Subaru Outback. However, a guest once drove their Honda Civic down to the site, so it really depends on your comfort level. If in doubt, just ask! We have a security camera on site we use for wildlife sightings and to check the weather. If the idea of having the camera bothers you, feel free to place a blanket or some other type of cover during your stay. We can also turn the camera to only face the entrance. Just let us know. Please respect the surroundings and others' property. There are several other vacation cabins in the area and everyone enjoys their peace and quiet. We provide a privy for guests to use, but be prepared to pack out waste in case it doesn't meet your standards. We try to keep it clean and stocked with TP, but we can only get out to the land every few weeks. If you're looking for peace and tranquility, Sagebrush Hollow is the place for you.

Weekend Trip to Sagebrush Hollow

This place is one of its kind. Perfect place to spend a peaceful weekend. We loved the setup and getting up there will definitely need a 4×4 as a small patch of the route up is a bit rough. The host was great in guiding us ahead with the right route to the place and was helpful with passing on some information way ahead. Cellular signal up there wasn't bad for us. I'll be recommending this place to a few of my jeep friends who a package of offroading and camping.

Nice restroom with one shower. Small and pretty lake with a dock. Grass field was green and lush. Electricity and water hook ups were a real plus. Hosts were available, helpful and kind. Great for kids to run, play volleyball and ride bikes.

Well maintained campground. We stayed in the tent area site 6. Beautiful open field with trees and trails to walk on the property. The lake, not for swimming, had all types of dragonflies flying around and occasionally could see a fish jump. . Fun to sit on the bench nearby to watch. The night sky was great for viewing and was full of bright stars. The camp host Cindy was very welcoming and informative.

I loved my stay at this little cabin. It’s tucked away in a beautiful spot, with sweeping views of the valley and mountains that make you feel completely removed from the rush of everyday life. The directions to get there were clear, and while cell coverage is minimal, there’s just enough to make a call if needed—which struck the perfect balance between isolation and peace of mind. The cabin itself has everything you need, and the solar-powered battery pack was a thoughtful perk. Nights were especially magical—stargazing here is absolutely incredible. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect, recharge, and soak in nature with a breathtaking view, this cabin is the perfect getaway.

I loved site 7. Very secluded and back in the trees! Sites 8, 9, and 10 offer similar seclusion as well. We had the whole tent area to ourselves. There were a couple RV campers in the RV area. Our second day here a fire started a few miles away and we were panicked that we would have to evacuate. Tried calling the camp host, but similar to our attempt to check in she was a ghost. I did talk to the RV campers and they had heard from her. Apparently she wasn't feeling well but assured them that the fire Marshal would show up if we needed to evacuate. Was disappointed to never see the host, but we had a good time either way. I will warn future campers that there are no water spigots anywhere near the tent sites, nor are there bathrooms (there is a port o potty) so bring your own water or prepare to lug water from the bath house to your site. I'd recommend driving honestly.

We loved our stay here. Site 31 was a little tight but we made it work. The grounds were really nice and we enjoyed walking around. We did share our electric box with the site next to ours because theirs was too far for them to connect. And our connections were on the opposite side of where they usually are but we made it work.

This has to be one of the best Hipcamps ever! The views are incredible, especially at sunset. The cabin is very cute and cozy, and has everything you need. I didn't think the road was bad at all - my Ram Promaster van made it just fine, but it definitely depends on your experience with dirt roads and comfort level. It was so peaceful and quiet, with a lot of deer around. I couldn't recommend this place more!
