The Khohay Farm

Nestled at the foothills of Mount Rainier, we are a serene farm 45 miles away from Seattle, 36 min drive away from the Mt Rainier Carbon River entrance, 1 hour from the Crystal Mountain Resort, and 1 hour 30 minutes from the Sunrise Visitor Center. I live here with my partner Khohay who now takes care of his family farm which used to be his late aunts Soma Institute of Structural Integration school (now ran by his brother on Whidbey Island). We are constantly doing projects around the property to restore, improve and preserve the beauty that it has to offer and would love to share it with other people as we go! AMENITIES/THINGS TO DO: -There is a communal bunkhouse on property available to guests with a flushable toilet and a hot water shower. It also includes a kitchenette and we welcome you to use any of the kitchen/cookware and appliances. Our 2 French Bulldogs also stay in this building but they love humans and all the attention you can give them! -We have a wellness yurt with well equipped gym that is available to use as an add-on. -There is an infrared sauna that can sit up to 3 people located next to the yurt accompanied by a cold plunge as an add-on. -You are welcome to wander around the entire property and grab fruit daily from the trees when in season or have us get you farm fresh eggs from the coop to eat for breakfast. -Say hello to the animals (sheep, goats, chickens, piggy, cats and dogs) or go for a walk/run around the countryside roads with walking/running/biking adventures available to you along the beautiful and paved Foothills Trail extending 21 miles from Buckley to Puyallup. -Communal fire pit areas with picnic table and chairs available when fire ban is not in effect. There is one close to the communal kitchen area, one closer to the field by the barn, and we have a moveable metal one which we can transport to your camp spot if preferred. We sell a milkcrate full of wood for $10 if needed. -WIFI is available closer to the communal area. LOCATION: 2 miles from downtown Buckley with Blue Max Meats and the Rainier Fresh Country Store for a quick trip down the road for groceries and less than 15 minute drive to Enumclaw with more restaurant options available and Bonney Lake also 15 minutes away with Costco, Fred Meyers etc.

Private woodland camp sites with woodland walks and open field to play. Shared outdoor kitchen with stove, BBQ, fireplace, and dining area. Clean compost toilet. The Owl’s Nest site has a yurt tent with 2 twin mattresses and outdoor shady picnic area. The Rabbit’s Warren site is a private grassy area to set up your own tent, with picnic table. No pets allowed. We have many wild visitors to the woodland camp including bears, deer, elk, coyotes, bobcat, cougar, racoons, owls, rabbits, and songbirds. Our domestic animals that roam the property include chickens, cats and a dog. Nearby outdoor attractions include: mountains for MTB, hiking, and rock climbing; the Snoqualmie River for floating, rafting and fishing, and lakes for swimming and fishing. Bumbleberry Woods is a magical place to escape from urban life and relax in nature, with easy access to the beautiful small towns of Snoqualmie and North Bend.

5 acre fully fenced Mt. Rainier view property. Dog and horse friendly. Please leash and pick up. Owners have large friendly dogs on property who have access to the campsite. There is a full game room for your enjoyment and free wifi. Both sites are full RV sites with 50 amp, water, sewer. We have 42' RV available for rental as well that is across from the site, there may be tenants staying there during your stay. We are the doorstep to Mt. Rainier and all of its' glory. Less than an hours drive from Crystal Mountain Resort. Located at the top of Carbon Canyon we have endless trails for hiking, horse riding, and motor sports. Feel free to bring your toys and you can drive right off the property. You will be staying in a rural area next to horses, goats, pigs, chickens. A little about Orting - Nestled in the foothills of Mt Rainier between the Puyallup and Carbon Rivers, Orting is a quaint Turn-of-the-Century village that you will not forget. The town center is anchored by three parks filled with giant maples and evergreens. You will be awed by the view of Mt. Rainier from Washington Avenue. The levees on the east and west sides of town are perfect for hikes along the rivers. The 20 mile Foothills Trail meanders right through the middle of town and then takes you along the Carbon River levee. Bike, walk, take the stroller and the family pet. Enjoy the turn-of-the-century architecture of downtown and eat at one of the 15 restaurants. If your timing is right you can take part in the Daffodil festival and parade the first Saturday of April. The Kingsmen Car show comes to town the third Saturday in June. Then there is the Pumpkin festival the second weekend of October. Finally the year is capped off with the Christmas festival throughout December. Then there are the many foot and bike races that take place on the foothills trail throughout the year. PLEASE NOTE: 24 hour advanced notice on early arrivals mandatory as we work. We will always try to accommodate but cannot guarantee. If you require a 30 amp hookup please make sure you have an adapter for the 50 amp outlet.
