Come relax and enjoy the amazing energy at Four Directions Retreat. We offer beautiful and shaded campsites and a tiny cabin that will be sure to please. We also have an amazing outdoor stage nestled at the bottom of a natural amphitheater that is perfect for a variety of entertaining needs. When not playing corn hole, disc golf or other yard games, our friendly little goats are known for putting on a show of their own just to get loves and scratches from our guests. Our beautiful property features a healthy 45+ year old Douglas Fir forest and a spacious meadow which is stunning in the spring with wild grasses and beautiful flowers. During the summer, you can take a break from the heat and relax amongst the huge ferns, Fir, Alder and Cedar trees and enjoy a variety of delicious berries found all over the property. You may also want to stretch your legs and take a leisurely walk along some of the old logging roads or give yourself a push along a forested hiking trail. Using mostly reclaimed materials, we built a stage great for entertainment (concerts, weddings, movie nights, etc... ), an outdoor event kitchen, and most importantly - the three composting outhouses strategically located to best accommodate our guest's basic needs. We also have a gorgeous Bathhouse available for a nominal fee to recoup the costs of waste disposal. We are happy to answer your questions and share our experiences with large events to help with your decision making process. The 4D Tiny Cabin includes a large space with a basic camp kitchen, fire pit, picnic table and space for a few tents (depending on size) for additional family or friends. We have 12 traditional camp sites that include picnic tables and fire pits that are spaced well apart to provide more privacy than you would ever get at a standard county, state or federal campground. Important to know: 1) A handful of the camp sites can accommodate up to 24 foot in length RV's and trailers pulled by a 4x4, camper vans, or trucks with campers. 2) Please reach out to us if you have additional questions about which sites would be best and why we insist on having a 4x4 pulling a trailer. 3) Also, overloaded minivans also have difficulties making it up the hill, but we can help. If that isn't enough, we are located close to many areas of interest. If you like disc golf, Trojan Park is only 8 minutes away. You can also jump in the water at a several County Parks along the mighty Columbia River which are about 10 minutes away. You can also take a dip in the picturesque Beaver Falls, a stunning 20-minute drive through the country followed by a short hike. If adventure "on the water" is more your thing, then you can always take a kayak around Scappoose Bay which is a 30-minute drive from 4D. I ask to help keep our environment as natural as possible pick up after yourselves and your furry friends. Each site are allowed 5 guests and 2 vehicles at each site. DIRECTIONS: If you're coming from South take I-5 North exit 49 make a left onto Huntington go over frwy bridge first right is Cowlitz View drive. If coming from the North take I-5 South exit 49 make a right onto Huntington then first right is Cowlitz View drive stay left and I'll meet you at the gate to escort you to your site.

Pleasant Places campground is clean, quiet, spacious, and private with lots of nooks for R&R as well as ample space for play and activities. It is an ideal location for large groups, family reunions, workshops, or what have you. A rustic kitchen, two 6' dining tables, and a fire pit with accessories make setting up camp a cinch. Centrally located and with 10 acres of field, forest, and farm there is something of interest for everyone here. If you're looking to explore the area a bit, Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, the East Side, and the Pacific Coast are all just day trips from here. In addition, we are midway between Portland and Seattle and just 15 minutes off of I-5 making Pleasant Places a perfect 'meet in the middle' location. Locally, lakes Mayfield, Ike Kinswa, and Riffe provide lots of boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities. Just five minutes away, Carlisle Lake offers walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, fishing opportunities, summer concerts, and a playground for the kids. At camp. you can pick a deer trail and walk through a budding new forest or pick a bunch of wild blackberries, apples, mushrooms, or flowers. Enjoy communing with our goat, rabbit, turkey, chicken, and duck friends. Other animals include deer, skunk, coyote, and possum—bear and cat are not common, but please do be conscientious about leaving food out. While the campsite, play space, and driveway loops are mowed, most of the grounds are wild so bring your tromping shoes. We also have a playfield (with a net) so pack your movie screen, volleyball, soccer ball, bicycles or lawn darts too. Erosia is 13 acres of wooded lands and boasts a couple of truly unique features. We honor our trees, especially the one with the woman's figure in her trunk, with her arms held up to the sky. We call our big leaf maple Blessing Tree "Ambrosia of Erosia". We also have a 45 ft memorial labyrinth we're still working on, but is walkable (3 times in and out is nearly a mile). We are 1 hour away from the ocean at Ocean Shores (near Aberdeen) where you can drive and hang out on the beach, fly kites, book a fishing trip, etc. We are also about an hour away the other direction to Lake Cushman where one can swim or hike up to the Staircase area where you will enjoy old growth forests. It's only half an hour to drive to Olympia to enjoy all the foods, the state capital buildings with museums, an award winning Farmer's Market, etc. An hour gets you to Tacoma, and with good traffic Seattle is an easy day trip with southern locations accessible in an hour and half. It's 2 hours to Portland, if you go south. It's easy to say we're CENTRALLY LOCATED and most all of western Washington is accessible with a day trip. We are still developing our lands. Currently we DO NOT have potable water onsite. Please pack in all the water you need and use the swimming hole and/or our local YMCA for bathing needs. We do have a portapot onsite for a toilet. We are working on putting both picnic tables on each campsite. If you need table(s) or chairs please ask as we are happy to lend if we do not have a big event happening where we need them. Each site offered here has a fire pit with a metal fire ring to sit around and roast marshmallows. We can provide fire wood or provide your own. Karl and Sarah run a business making spiritual tools and gifts from wood from their shop(s) on the Land so they are around most of the time to answer questions and get you settled in. (www.rareearthdesigns.net) Right now they are working out of temporary shops as they work on building the permanent shop building. (There is no loud building noises currently, though. It's quite peaceful upon the land of Erosia.) Our 45 ft labyrinth will be finished this year and eventually will be completely wheelchair accessible and available to be walked with day passes. ~Right now it is NOT fully WC accessible, though. More on our structure: The service-side of our Land Sanctuary is organized as a non-profit and donations to the creation and/or caretaking of the labyrinth over $50 we gift a memorial brick one can set in the labyrinth. Our for-profit business, Rare Earth Designs, donates the engravings. We will eventually have a retaining wall that can be used for seating and the labyrinth will be available to rent for weddings, memorial services and other ceremonies as well as regular walking meditations. This HipCamp site, though, is Sarah's personal business as she currently owns the biggest part of the Land and is basically the orchestra director of the Land as the "Lady of the Land". We're still growing and developing the Land, our Services and our shop and would love to show you what we are working to create.

I continue to try to be a good steward to this little piece of land with very big trees. One side faces my studio with drive through access to a bunkhouse and hookups and the other is tent camping with room to explore. There is a covered patio with a picnic table and BBQ for use while you stay. Also, a fire pit in the yard (bring your own wood). Water hookup for your RV is under the patio and there is a 50ft hose there for use if you need it.

hello happy camper(s)! i’ve lived over 30 years on this slice of heaven in northeast olympia. it is a somewhat rural setting, with most homes having 5 acres, mine being grandfathered in with .79 many of my neighbors have farm animals, my immediate neighbor has sheep, geese, chickens and more - some have horses and cattle. this area used to be mainly strawberry farms. i love being only 10 minutes from town, but a bit out in the sticks (in the county, not city limits.) the proximity to a 22-mile bike path was one of the draws for me to purchase this property. my cute, cozy studio space is on the back corner of my property - 60 paces (120 feet?) from where you will park on my driveway. for nimble and or small folk, the studio has a sleeping loft with full-sized comfy foam mattress (but not lots of headroom) for the rest of us, an ikea twin mattress on ground level. you will find: good vibes, plenty of light, a tea kettle, 1.6 cubic foot mini-fridge (no freezer), a couple of gallons of drinking water, one small electric burner, a new table, ample electric radiator heater, wool carpet over much of the cement floor, a compost toilet with a make-shift hand washing sink (the studio is not plumbed) and much more. outside there is a covered area for you to sit and enjoy that morning coffee, a porch like swing under wisteria trellis and a funky table you could use to set up a camp-stove on (if you bring one.) you won't find: towels, bedding (well, there is a down comforter and pillow) tv, books or an entertainment center. there are some meal prep items- a small pot and pan, some utensils, but you may want to bring more of your own! you will find a quiet, safe and comfy place to relax and unwind!

Ovis Aries Farm

Nestled in beautiful Mossyrock, in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains just off White Pass Scenic Byway in western Washington state, Ovis Aries Farm is less than a mile away from one of the best fishing holes in the state (Swofford Pond), and from Riffe Lake’s heavily-booked Mossyrock Campground. Our 20-acre property features densely-forested mountainside trails, a seasonal creek and pond, with a variety of hardwood and evergreen trees. Surrounded on three sides by Christmas tree farms, our farm is the last bit of wilderness left in the area. Only an hour from Mt. Ranier’s legendary winter sports, with hiking, fishing and festivals all both here and nearby, our farm provides a perfect Base Camp for your any-season getaway! We have two camping sites available, each with room for two groups. The BARN site has power and water and gravel parking, and are located by the big brown barn at the end of Naylor Road (at the "End of County Road" sign). The FIELD site is a one-acre open field with a gated entrance shortly after you turn onto Naylor Road (left side, before log cabin). Note that neither site is perfectly level, but is within the typical leveling ability of RVs at the size limits stated. The farm is located on a steep hillside; there is only so much we can do. But the stunning views more than make up for any inconvenience, in our experience. Ovis Aries is the scientific name for “domestic sheep”, and indeed, we raise Romney sheep of all colors on our farm! You may also meet our sweet and friendly Morgan Horse mare, Naya, who likes to follow visitors around like a very large dog. We also have a small orchard with apples, persimmons, cherries, blueberries, and a pear, peach and almond tree beside the barn. We farm using organic, no-till, permaculture, silvopasture and forest grazing practices, and the sheep are entirely grass-fed, producing meat of the healthiest-possible quality. If fiber arts is your jam, we have a beautiful wool workshop, with a 40" 4-shaft, 6-harness Louet Hollandia floor loom, a 32" Harp rigid heddle loom, 5 spinning wheels, a drum carder, and numerous other fiber tools for scouring, prepping, spinning, dyeing, weaving, felting and knitting wool. One on one and small group classes are available with reservations. We also have an Ender 3 Pro+ 3D printer available, and a business center, including fast StarLink Wi-Fi and all streaming services. During the summer, you can take a break from the heat and relax amongst the huge ferns, Fir, Alder and Cedar trees and enjoy a variety of delicious berries found all over the property. You may also want to stretch your legs and take a leisurely walk along some of the old logging roads or give yourself a push along a forested hiking trail. Using mostly reclaimed materials, we built a stage great for entertainment (concerts, weddings, movie nights, etc... ), an outdoor event kitchen, and most importantly - the three composting outhouses strategically located to best accommodate our guest's basic needs. Important to know: 1) A handful of the camp sites can accommodate up to 24 foot in length RV's and trailers pulled by a 4x4, camper vans, or trucks with campers. 2) Please reach out to us if you have additional questions about which sites would be best and why we insist on having a 4x4 pulling a trailer. 3) Also, overloaded minivans also have difficulties making it up the hill, but we can help. If that isn't enough, we are located close to many areas of interest. If you like disc golf, Trojan Park is only 8 minutes away. You can also jump in the water at a several County Parks along the mighty Columbia River which are about 10 minutes away. You can also take a dip in the picturesque Beaver Falls, a stunning 20-minute drive through the country followed by a short hike. If adventure "on the water" is more your thing, then you can always take a kayak around Scappoose Bay which is a 30-minute drive from 4D. Just five minutes away, Carlisle Lake offers walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, fishing opportunities, summer concerts, and a playground for the kids. At camp. you can pick a deer trail and walk through a budding new forest or pick a bunch of wild blackberries, apples, mushrooms, or flowers. Erosia Land Sanctuary

Erosia is 13 acres of wooded lands and boasts a couple of truly unique features. We honor our trees, especially the one with the woman's figure in her trunk, with her arms held up to the sky. We call our big leaf maple Blessing Tree "Ambrosia of Erosia". We also have a 45 ft memorial labyrinth we're still working on, but is walkable (3 times in and out is nearly a mile). We are 1 hour away from the ocean at Ocean Shores (near Aberdeen) where you can drive and hang out on the beach, fly kites, book a fishing trip, etc. We are also about an hour away the other direction to Lake Cushman where one can swim or hike up to the Staircase area where you will enjoy old growth forests. It's only half an hour to drive to Olympia to enjoy all the foods, the state capital buildings with museums, an award winning Farmer's Market, etc. An hour gets you to Tacoma, and with good traffic Seattle is an easy day trip with southern locations accessible in an hour and half. It's 2 hours to Portland, if you go south. It's easy to say we're CENTRALLY LOCATED and most all of western Washington is accessible with a day trip. We are still developing our lands. Currently we DO NOT have potable water onsite. Please pack in all the water you need and use the swimming hole and/or our local YMCA for bathing needs. We do have a portapot onsite for a toilet. We are working on putting both picnic tables on each campsite. If you need table(s) or chairs please ask as we are happy to lend if we do not have a big event happening where we need them. Each site offered here has a fire pit with a metal fire ring to sit around and roast marshmallows. We can provide fire wood or provide your own. Karl and Sarah run a business making spiritual tools and gifts from wood from their shop(s) on the Land so they are around most of the time to answer questions and get you settled in. (www.rareearthdesigns.net) Right now they are working out of temporary shops as they work on building the permanent shop building. (There is no loud building noises currently, though. It's quite peaceful upon the land of Erosia.) Our 45 ft labyrinth will be finished this year and eventually will be completely wheelchair accessible and available to be walked with day passes. ~Right now it is NOT fully WC accessible, though. More on our structure: The service-side of our Land Sanctuary is organized as a non-profit and donations to the creation and/or caretaking of the labyrinth over $50 we gift a memorial brick one can set in the labyrinth. Our for-profit business, Rare Earth Designs, donates the engravings. We will eventually have a retaining wall that can be used for seating and the labyrinth will be available to rent for weddings, memorial services and other ceremonies as well as regular walking meditations. This HipCamp site, though, is Sarah's personal business as she currently owns the biggest part of the Land and is basically the orchestra director of the Land as the "Lady of the Land". We're still growing and developing the Land, our Services and our shop and would love to show you what we are working to create.
