Both sites are full RV sites with 50 amp, water, sewer. We have 42' RV available for rental as well that is across from the site, there may be tenants staying there during your stay. We are the doorstep to Mt. Rainier and all of its' glory. Less than an hours drive from Crystal Mountain Resort. Located at the top of Carbon Canyon we have endless trails for hiking, horse riding, and motor sports. Feel free to bring your toys and you can drive right off the property. You will be staying in a rural area next to horses, goats, pigs, chickens. A little about Orting - Nestled in the foothills of Mt Rainier between the Puyallup and Carbon Rivers, Orting is a quaint Turn-of-the-Century village that you will not forget. The town center is anchored by three parks filled with giant maples and evergreens. You will be awed by the view of Mt. Rainier from Washington Avenue. The levees on the east and west sides of town are perfect for hikes along the rivers. The 20 mile Foothills Trail meanders right through the middle of town and then takes you along the Carbon River levee. Bike, walk, take the stroller and the family pet. Enjoy the turn-of-the-century architecture of downtown and eat at one of the 15 restaurants. If your timing is right you can take part in the Daffodil festival and parade the first Saturday of April. The Kingsmen Car show comes to town the third Saturday in June. Then there is the Pumpkin festival the second weekend of October. Finally the year is capped off with the Christmas festival throughout December. Then there are the many foot and bike races that take place on the foothills trail throughout the year. Beautiful, well thought out, and clean space that had everything one needs to create beautiful memories with friends and families. The whole property is gorgeous with stunning views. The fire pit was so lovely especially on a rainy day, and so nice to have items provided for smores as well. Loads of cards and board games. Would stay here again and recommend 10/10!

This was the second time we stayed at The Lookout - and it was even better this time. The Spud airstream was fully loaded with everything we needed, including amazing snacks for our day hike. The dome offered amazing views of the lake and was a magical place to see the sun rise and sunset. This is our favorite place to stay when we plan to visit Rainier. Highly recommend!

This was my second time camping at The Lookout and it was just as magical as the first time. Christie and Thane have really created a wonderful space that balances the outdoors and all the comforts of home. From the views to the outdoor shower, everything was great! The extra appliances in the airstream allowed for us to cook outside by the power pole and we really appreciated the 2nd fridge to keep everything cold so we didn't have to buy a ton of ice. We painted rocks as a family at the picnic table and enjoyed s'mores by the fire all while enjoying the beautiful view of the lake below. The everything down to the porta potty was so clean! And the touch of the panda drum, my entire family enjoyed playing it, it was the highlight of our trip!

I absolutely adored The Lookout! Everything was so wonderfully curated and it was the perfect place to get away from the city for a weekend. I can tell Christie and Thane put in a lot of effort to make this place as cozy and welcoming as possible. The view of the lake is breathtaking! Mossyrock is a cute little town (check out Nacho’s Mexican Restaurant), and there’s lots of good spots for fishing around! I’d 100/10 stay here again.

This place is amazing! The Airstream is comfortable and cozy, with AC, cooking supplies, and everything you need for a great stay. The dome is so unique, and is an amazing place to enjoy the view! The view of the lake is incredible, and this is the perfect place to enjoy being outdoors while having comfy indoor spaces to relax in too. I definitely recommend it!

My friends and I came here during our cross country road trip and was such a wonderfully magic experience. The Moon tent was so nice because we felt like we had our own little section of the property. Sayer and Silas gave us the farm tour - we milked the goats and fed the chickens. We also had a wonderfully eye opening conversation about non tradtional ways of living. Definitely would come back and definitely recommend doing the farm tour!! This place is great, and they are doing wonderful work.

We had a weekend getaway at Carbonado Ranch RV and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location in Orting was peaceful and scenic, offering a nice escape from the city. The check-in process was smooth, with a friendly meet-and-greet from the host Kimberly upon arrival, which made us feel welcome right away. The site was spacious enough for our group, including two kids and a pet, and it was great to have the flexibility to bring our furry friend along. The surroundings were quiet, and we appreciated the natural beauty of the area—perfect for relaxing and spending quality time outdoors.

We had a lovely and restful time at The Lookout. Our first day was very hot, but the AC in the Airstream cooled things down quickly enough until we could be outside for the evening. And what a beautiful spot this is. We even caught a couple meteors before heading off to bed. The closed in grassy area was great for our pup to explore, but otherwise we spent all our time at the location—next time I’m sure we’ll explore more of the surrounding area, because it’s the kind of place you can’t help revisiting. Thank you, Christie and Thane for providing and maintaining such a spectacular plot of land!
