Vital Farm is 25 acres of waterfront property on Clear Lake, WA. 18 acres of the property is agricultural land that is open space. The owners have a small garden and some fruit trees that are for owner's use only, but you are happy to walk around and tour the garden. Approximately 5 acres of the property is mowed for recreational use. There is a dock for fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking or boating. The lake is open to boats, but no jet skis are allowed. You can bring your own water toys and play on the lake all day. There is open space for camping but no running water. The property has a firepit and porta potty for campers use. You will likely see wildlife like eagles (nest nearby), deer, geese, ducks, birds and of course clear, starry night, skies. *This is a working farm so while often you will have the property to yourself and other campers the owners may be present, occasionally, to work on farm projects and property maintenance in the periphery. We will always be respectful or your space and keep our projects to reasonable hours. 09/13/2024 Update: The forest clean-up project has concluded, and replanting has already been done. The property is not as it was before, and it will take time to be in a desirable state; however, if you are interested in having a safe base camp for your travels and don't mind the current status, I would be happy to discuss accommodating you. 04/20/2024 Update: We have been patiently waiting for a forest clean-up logging project to begin, and it has officially started. Our property has a large number of dying trees, so this is necessary to ensure the overall forest health. However, it will unavoidably disrupt the look of the property for many years to come. We will be replanting next February. For those who wish to use the property only as a safe base camp near mountain biking trails, I’ll happily invite you to stay, but if you’re looking for a picturesque forest setting, you’ll want to check back in with us in a couple of years. ----- This 21-acre forest with a large beaver pond is classified as a class-A wetland. In addition to this, you can find a shallow creek, beaver dams, old growth forest, and a phenomenal bird habitat. Find privacy and quiet except for the songs of many birds and woodpeckers. The property is minutes away from Blanchard Mountain Trail head. There are numerous biking and hiking trails within a short distance, and while we aren't yet at the point of building trails here at the property, that will be coming shortly. This property was once a show home, but a fire occurred over 10 years ago and the house was not rebuilt. While the remaining ruins are minimal, it sets an exciting backdrop; perhaps it can be the scene for a mysterious photo shoot. We have been actively working on cleaning up the property, but there are occasional spots where we find leftover fire debris that the previous occupant scattered throughout the property. If you find such a spot during your stay, please let us know. Within the property is a small orchard with apples, blueberries, blackberries, grapes, and plumbs. While you are welcome to graze during your stay, we ask that you not harvest a great deal to ensure enough for everyone to enjoy. There are fish in the pond, and though fishing is allowed, we can not claim what type or ease due to the nature of the plant growth. It is not stocked and is only fed by the area's waterways. I have been asked several times if the fire ban is still active. Yes, it is. There is no longer access to a hose, so being able to quickly put out a fire in case of an accident is also more concerning. Sadly, with the last several years of intense summers, our area is likely going to be at risk of drought again this summer. If you are interested in reserving the entire property for a completely secluded stay, please contact me directly. That option is $175 for a party of up to 20 individuals, but no more than 2 camper vans/RVs and four additional cars per night.

Learn more about this land: We put in a gravel driveway in a quiet neighborhood. This spot is perfectly located two blocks from the Straits of Juan de Fuca, where bird watching, fishing, boating, swimming and sunsets are the norm. There are hiking trails and dairy and u-pick farms all around. It is located about 10 minutes to stores and Starbucks. Amenities are water, sewer and electricity. Olympic game farm is only a few minutes away. We have put 50, 30 and 20 amp plugs for electricity (220v, and 110v) We have put in a fire pit and we have wood for additional cost. This is open unless there s a fire ban.

Just what we needed to relax. Large grass area with, fire pit, chairs, picnic table and dock to access lake. We did lots off SUP and swimming. Dogs enjoyed the freedom and swimming in the lake. Host was super nice and responsive.

Our group really enjoyed camping at this beautiful lakefront site. It was lovely to wake up to a view of the water and surrounding hills. We had fun paddle boarding and kayaking on the lake. We appreciated having the space all to ourselves. Picking some of the most delicious blackberries on site was a bonus! The only downsides to the site were a porta potty that needed servicing and some frequent noise from a power washer and other equipment being used by the host.

Our group enjoyed being lakeside at this beautiful site. Having access to our own dock was fantastic. We enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking on the lake. Getting to pick blackberries in season on the site was an extra bonus.

Valerie was very welcoming & provided lots of info of things to do in the area. Site was shaded & flat grass with easy access to 30 amp power & water. Near Valerie’s home but still lots of privacy. Nice picnic table. Garbage can & recycle bins convenient. Plenty of seating areas around the property to take in the views. Nice little trail thru the woods for our 2 small dogs.

Really enjoyed our time on Harmony’s land. The site was close to lavender farms, the water, and downtown Sequim/Port Angeles. It is the perfect base camp for Olympic NP. Water, sewer, and electric all worked perfectly. Highly recommend this spot!

Valerie was a great hostess. She greeted us with a packet of info about the area and guided us to our spot. Site is near the main house but has privacy. Power & water, garbage & recycling bins, picnic table, and a seating area to take in the red barn view. A path thru the woods behind the site led to another seating area to take in the sunset…and pups loved the path too. Peaceful & convenient location-loved it.

Harmony’s Retreat spot is great! It’s in a really nice location - close to town but not too close. It’s quiet and has all the amenities that campers want. The Wi-Fi was strong and fast it was the perfect base camp for exploring the area and not too far from Olympic National Park.

We had a great camping trip. We lucked out with the weather and had a great time paddleboarding and having a fire right by the lake's edge. Bald Eagles perched nearby, birds playing games with a feather above us, and a very curious bunny who kept coming by to check on us! We'll definitely come back!

This was a fun spot! Direct lake access. Big field for activities. Spacious gravelled fire pit area with solar lights. Looked very new. Privacy from neighborhood homes. Lake edge had thick tall reeds which added to the privacy from the lake side. Portapotty was clean and well stocked. So much bird watching! There was a bald eagle's nest in the trees nearby and a golden eagles nest on the for side of the lake. Really enjoyed watching them hunt in the lake. Things to consider: 1. The site is a large open field directly against the lake. The only shade is two apple trees that shade the portapotty. Bring something to shade yourself. 2. This is goose territory. They wandered around nearby but didn't come near the site. There was a good amount of goose poop around the site though. Didn't impact our stay at all! 3. There is a gas station very close to the site. A break in the tree line silhouette the sign perfectly. We definitely snuck over to grab more ice (and ice cream).

Great site with amazing access to spots on the Peninsula. Driveway was easy to back-in from the road (37’ travel trailer), and the site was well-kept and felt very private. Even had some deer come through a few times!
