The back field has an unused septic system underground, so we leave the grass and vegetation longer here to attract wildlife and preserve the infrastructure for potential future use. No vehicles allowed in back field. In the middle of the property is a grove of pine and cedar trees with thick, native salal bushes and rhododendrons crisscrossed with paths created by humans and the local deer population. Driveway is shared by neighboring property so wave and smile if our neighbors walk or drive out to the main road, and please be respectful of their property line and follow the local culture of 'live and let live'.

Over 100 years ago, this property was logged of all of it's old growth conifers. Well, things have been growing here ever since. There are many old growth stumps dotted around the property; many acting as "nurse or Mother logs" to new growth. We have been here for 30 years & have select logged keeping the integrity of the property in tact. These trees know they are loved and honored. They are happy & it shows. You feel the vibe a soon as you drive up. Since then we have blazed trails & carved out campsites & campgrounds throughout. All of them resembling nature's little carved out "rooms." We have enjoyed this property for these past 33 years. We have shared it with family & friends time & time again. There is so much love & positive energy breathing within these boundaries. Great area and a wonderful host. Met us during a rain storm as we parked our trailer and assist through out. Much appreciated. We have a 17’ trailer which fit just fine but anything above that would be a bit tight. Would recommend driving around property vice backing down the drive. Very nice spot and super quiet. Site was convenient to so many great attractions that it is a perfect base camp or just to relax and chill. Would recommend for sure.

My husband and I enjoyed staying at Greenstone Farms. The farm and the view are quite beautiful. We had fresh eggs for breakfast which was lovely. The horses visited us before headed home. The restroom was very clean and nice and had a heater which was nice since it was raining the night we showed up. We would have stayed longer but my husband wanted his recliner for the Mariners playoff game. I didn’t foresee that obstacle.

As a solo female RVer, I’m always looking for a safe spot to park and this private land tucked back in the woods was perfect for a three day stay on Whidbey. The bonus access to a kitchen, indoor bathroom and shower was great! Ryan, the host when I was there, was very friendly and helpful. And having the house lights on when I arrived (much later than I planned and after dark!) was most helpful to be able to quickly get the RV settled for the first night. I couldn’t quite find a level spot, but had I spent a bit more time and worked with my tire blocks I’m sure I could have figured it out. The turnaround was tight but doable with a 19 ft trailer and a 15 ft SUV but some longer rigs might have to do some fancy turns to get out. Overall, great value! Thanks for hosting on Hipcamp!

I stayed one night at Flamingo Ridge to organize my gear and prep for future car camping trips—and it was just what I needed. As an older woman traveling solo, I appreciated the quiet woods and the sense of safety and welcome. Ryan, my host, was incredibly helpful. The parking area was a bit uneven for my car “Sparky,” but he patiently helped me find the best spot. I was also greeted by Wendy and Peter—two exuberant German poodle puppies who added a delightful touch of joy to the experience. There’s a communal kitchen and bathroom, both clean and functional, with clear rules and information posted near the entrance. It’s not fancy, but it’s well thought out and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to reset, test your gear, or just enjoy the forest (with a few tail wags thrown in), Flamingo Ridge is a great choice. I left feeling more prepared and more relaxed than when I arrived.
