Private property along the Quinault River between NFS land and Olympic National Park, adjacent to Colonel Bob Wilderness and just past The Quinault Nation reservation. Homesteaders came here in 1890, prior to that there was no human habitation. A perfect base camp to explore the many varied facets of the West side of the Olympic Peninsula. The campsites are on acreage of a very small off-grid farm. Relax and forget the stress. There are 6 tent sites and 2 small RV sites. Toilets are available, as well as trash bins, potable water, and picnic tables. We do not allow pets. Guests love staying here: "This spot was everything we were hoping for and more! Awesome location near everything in Quinault. Received a fun, short tour of the property from our hosts who are incredibly nice. The campsite was tidy and exactly what we imagined. Plenty of room between us and our neighbors, and we barely knew that they were there. The outhouse is basic but clean and charming. Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. If the description on the website seems like what you're looking for, I would highly recommend this location."

The family's ancestors settled here after traveling with the Willie Kiel wagon train from the Midwest. Nearby is the monument to Willie Kiel and the historical family cemetery. The 7-acres includes a stream with fish, walking trails, eagles and other wildlife, and cattle nearby. Great property for a nature walk. Seasonal plants. Harrier Falcon, Eagles, Turkey Vultures, Barn Owls, White Owls, Grouse just to name a few of the birds around. An occassional rabbit or 2. Learn more about this land: Grassy tent site next to Ida M's Blueberry Row. Mainly a quiet piece of property surrounded by nature. Hummingbirds and butterflies. Fire pit, picnic table, solar lights, clean drinking water, and trash bin. Short walk to Port a Potty. 9 miles from Pacific Beach and Seabrook. We do live on the property, located on the other side of the blueberry rows, across the driveway with our 3 labrador retrievers and chickens. There is also a swing set, jungle gym, and a horse shoe pit. You will be seeing my husband and I come and go while staying here, also other family and friends that visit. So if you are looking for a completely private place, staying here would not meet your expectations.

This is a beautiful, quiet, and comfortable campsite! We were especially impressed by the shared kitchen - as it was quite cold while we were there! The kitchen is lovely, with a wood cookstove. We loved staying with Paul and Carol, who are very interesting and friendly.

The campground was in a beautiful corner of the earth and owned by a kind, friendly couple. The campsite felt private and had it all; a bench, water, a fire pit and a tent platform. We enjoyed cooking in the communal kitchen with a wood stove. I highly recommend!

We enjoyed our campsite and the communal spaces provided by the host. Our nights were quiet, but we still enjoyed the hoot of an occasional owl. A mist-covered mountain is a great view with a morning coffee. The property location is perfect for enjoying nearby hiking trails.

A very peaceful site and I like that there’s only a handful of sites, a community kitchen and the host was super friendly, greeted upon arrival and left us alone (unless we needed something) which was awesome. Lots of nature and fun listening to the owls all night!

Paul’s place is well designed, with some privacy between each camp site. The tent platforms and picnic tables were great! The communal kitchen and outhouse were well maintained and clean. And the chickens were a delight!

We did eventually drive by Amanda Park and can say that it is very close to all the nature that the southeast part of the Olympic national rainforest offers

Debby welcoming us to her property when we arrived and gave us detailed info on where to park our camping van. The area was mowed and clean. We enjoyed her flower patch. Water was easily accessible. The night was quiet and the spot peaceful. We enjoyed our stay.
