You are responsible for any damage or injuries caused by a fire you start, so please be careful!
Please note: It is very important that the number of people on site is accurate. Please contact Hipcamp to change the number of people - there currently is no way to do that on the site?! There is an additional charge per person above the base 2 person rate.
There is no outdoor music at any time. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 10 am.
There is no picnic table or any amenities, but you can fill up water at our barn if needed.
DO NOT USE THE WOODS AS A BATHROOM. It is necessary to bring your own latrine.
The water at (shallower) Dockton Park (about a 6 min drive away) gets warm from swimming in summer if you prefer it to 54 degree deep water here!
Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. If no one is around at the beach, they can be off leash, but leash up if anyone approaches until they pass. Please never leave your dog unattended outside where barking will disturb the peace.

What a lovely view and open space to enjoy! It was a treat to see Lisa with her horse and pony riding in the light of the setting sun. A bit of magic.
The directions were clear to get there. Loved being close to the beach and lighthouse to stroll to. The Bird King was close by as well. A lovely stay.

What a lovely horsecamp! Beautiful setting with peek a boo views of Mt Baker and Straits of San Juan. Hosts Bill and Anna were so friendly and easy to work with. We rode horses and really appreciated the map showing all the great trails. I would highly recommend and would love to go back!

What a beautiful campsite! I stayed here with my girlfriend and our pup for a single, rainy night. There was plenty of flat space for our 22-foot van and a large space that was "our own," which included a fire pit and table. The forested area in the back had a path that led to a creek, which, combined with the rain, created an amazing ambience.
On the way out in the morning, we picked up some apple cider from the small "shop" at the entrance. It was delicious!
Although I think it will be many years before I'm back in the area, I'll certainly be looking to stay here again when I am.

This camping site was very clean, well set up and a beautiful location. We used it to stay at on two nights before and after a hike. It was so convenient to be just off the highway. The noise quieted down for night and it was very peaceful sleeping. We had a great fire, enjoyed the picnic table and being in the trees. Clean bathrooms and shower as well as a water spigot. All around great experience. Kodie was so helpful and easily accessible by message.

This was one of the best places we have stayed (25 ft Motor-home) with a gorgeous view, super quiet and a fairly empty beach to walk down to where the dog could run free. Will be back since this is a great place to play and Vashon is fun to walk around and get some goodies. On the way , Point Defiance is a great park to check out too.

We had a great weekend camping at Cedar + Fern. Site 4 was very private, but had the disadvantage of being a little too far away from the creek to hear the water (but it was very quiet, which was nice). Farm fresh eggs, cider, and propane fire pit were wonderful additions to our stay. We had the chance to hike Mt. Walker nearby, which was a beautiful, albeit steep. I hope we get the chance to return next summer!

We had an amazing time at Cedar + Fern. Such a beautiful and magical environment. The river play area is so special and all of the trees and ferns are so gorgeous. It was a little tricky getting in with our 29’ trailer, but my guy is a great driver and managed it. The eggs and cider add-ons are also highly recommended. Opie gives it two paws up!! Host was very easy going and responded to my questions immediately. It was a little noisy with the highway, but if you are comfortable with it, it is a beautiful space very conveniently located close to the National Park. The bathroom and shower elevated our camping experience. Unfortunately, the shower remained lukewarm, but in their defense it got very cold overnight and it may have needed more than a few minutes to warm up. I loved the layout of campsite #2! I would recommend.
