Enjoy an outdoor shower on the edge of the woods with on-demand hot water. You’ll also have your own custom made steel fire pit with fire wood available for purchase (or you can bring your own). We have an outdoor picnic table as well as a table inside the tent for late night card games. There's a lovely little bathroom with a composting toilet and a sink with running water. We allow up to 6 people (absolutely no pets) and request that parties respect the limit so that our composting toilet can keep up with the demand with minimal servicing while you are here (to maintain your privacy). Please contact us to set up a time for a guided tour if you are interested in seeing the farm up close. Please no U-pick or tours without guidance. We’d like to make sure to point out that there is convenient and dedicated parking for campers but the camping spot is about 200 feet from the parking area and over uneven ground. A cart is provided for unpacking your vehicle. Because it is very dark here at night, we would request that campers arrive before dark to safely find their way and unload with adequate light. A little about Orting - Nestled in the foothills of Mt Rainier between the Puyallup and Carbon Rivers, Orting is a quaint Turn-of-the-Century village that you will not forget. The town center is anchored by three parks filled with giant maples and evergreens. You will be awed by the view of Mt. Rainier from Washington Avenue. The levees on the east and west sides of town are perfect for hikes along the rivers. The 20 mile Foothills Trail meanders right through the middle of town and then takes you along the Carbon River levee. Bike, walk, take the stroller and the family pet. Enjoy the turn-of-the-century architecture of downtown and eat at one of the 15 restaurants. If your timing is right you can take part in the Daffodil festival and parade the first Saturday of April. The Kingsmen Car show comes to town the third Saturday in June. Then there is the Pumpkin festival the second weekend of October. Finally the year is capped off with the Christmas festival throughout December. Then there are the many foot and bike races that take place on the foothills trail throughout the year. Our 2 French Bulldogs also stay in this building but they love humans and all the attention you can give them! -We have a wellness yurt with well equipped gym that is available to use as an add-on. -There is an infrared sauna that can sit up to 3 people located next to the yurt accompanied by a cold plunge as an add-on. -You are welcome to wander around the entire property and grab fruit daily from the trees when in season or have us get you farm fresh eggs from the coop to eat for breakfast. -Say hello to the animals (sheep, goats, chickens, piggy, cats and dogs) or go for a walk/run around the countryside roads with walking/running/biking adventures available to you along the beautiful and paved Foothills Trail extending 21 miles from Buckley to Puyallup. -Communal fire pit areas with picnic table and chairs available when fire ban is not in effect. And an outdoor table and chairs that are super comfortable! The house itself is heated, insulated, and has working electricity/outlets for computer or phone charger. Clean bedding and pillows provided, washed in fragrance-free detergent between each guest. We provide a full water jug with spigot, hot water kettle, teapot, assorted teas and 2 mugs. Private area of the yard with plenty of room to relax. We have a disc golf goal and discs to use as well. Firewood is available for purchase onsite for $10/milk crate full. This comes with a kindling kit. Territorial views of the tree line and sunset views to die for! We are located near Meigs Park as well as a 10-minute walk from Manitou beach and an easy bike ride to the ferry that goes to Seattle! 2 miles from the Grand Forest and 3 miles from Battle Point park. We are exactly 3 miles from the ferry terminal in a convenient mid-island location. NEED TO KNOW (managing expectations):A note on the bathroom: the hobbit hole is small and will not fit a bathroom or plumbing. Your nearby private portable restroom is cleaned thoroughly between each guest and serviced (pumped out) weekly. We consider our listing to be “glamping”. Also our property borders a local 2 lane highway and you can expect road noise mostly during the day and evening. While it is a private setting you can expect to hear the road. Weekends and evenings it is quieter, and when the door is closed it is quiet. The Hobbit House is suitable for 2 guests or 2 adults and a small child that can share the bed. The bed is a queen size, and we can't allow sleeping on the floor as the door opens inwards and is a safety concern. We have a 40 acre property at the end of 381st Street East. About 16 acres of hay pasture, 2 barns, the original 1910 farmhouse as well as the big lodge built in 1987. The RV is alongside the main lodge, to the left as you are looking at the garage. We have a fenced-in chicken paddock, fenced-in garden area, 2 horses living their best life as pets in the lower pasture, peafowl in the pole barn, and lots of wildlife around - finches, blackbirds, hummingbirds, barn swallows, doves, other song birds, Canadian geese, ducks, frogs, dragonflies, wild bunnies, field mice, bats, hawks, crows, occasional visits from a river otter family, an eagle, or a herd of elk (usually seen around dawn or dusk), and on the less desirable side we also have gophers, moles, voles, wasps and mosquitos - and the possibility of a coyote, mountain lion, or bear though those sightings are quite rare. You are welcome to roam the property and explore. Please don't enter the chicken paddocks, the peafowl enclosure, or the horse pasture for your safety and the animals' welfare. We typically have plenty of eggs from our chickens, who are fed a soy-free, corn-free diet with lots of table scraps - just let us know if you'd like us to stock the frig with some (available seasonally from spring to fall)! During the summer there may be garden produce available as well, and in August you are welcome to pick blackberries from the ever-present blackberry bushes that are found in many places around the property. Please take care around the pond - there are fish in there, and it's quite mucky. It's not suitable for swimming. There is no fence or gate around the pond - or the hot tub for that matter - so please watch your children carefully. We have an 8-person patio dining table and some comfy patio furniture out on the back deck of the lodge that we are happy to share with you, as well as a BBQ grill, fire pit, and hot tub.

Our parcel is partially wooded and partially cleared for our flower farm. But it adjoins neighboring properties that have an additional 20+ acres that are totally wooded giving the feeling of being further away from civilization than you are. Enjoy an outdoor shower on the edge of the woods with on-demand hot water. You’ll also have your own custom made steel fire pit with fire wood available for purchase (or you can bring your own). We have an outdoor picnic table as well as a table inside the tent for late night card games. There's a lovely little bathroom with a composting toilet and a sink with running water. We allow up to 6 people (absolutely no pets) and request that parties respect the limit so that our composting toilet can keep up with the demand with minimal servicing while you are here (to maintain your privacy). Please contact us to set up a time for a guided tour if you are interested in seeing the farm up close. Please no U-pick or tours without guidance. We’d like to make sure to point out that there is convenient and dedicated parking for campers but the camping spot is about 200 feet from the parking area and over uneven ground. The levees on the east and west sides of town are perfect for hikes along the rivers. The 20 mile Foothills Trail meanders right through the middle of town and then takes you along the Carbon River levee. Bike, walk, take the stroller and the family pet. Enjoy the turn-of-the-century architecture of downtown and eat at one of the 15 restaurants. If your timing is right you can take part in the Daffodil festival and parade the first Saturday of April. NEED TO KNOW (managing expectations):A note on the bathroom: the hobbit hole is small and will not fit a bathroom or plumbing. The RV is alongside the main lodge, to the left as you are looking at the garage. We have a fenced-in chicken paddock, fenced-in garden area, 2 horses living their best life as pets in the lower pasture, peafowl in the pole barn, and lots of wildlife around - finches, blackbirds, hummingbirds, barn swallows, doves, other song birds, Canadian geese, ducks, frogs, dragonflies, wild bunnies, field mice, bats, hawks, crows, occasional visits from a river otter family, an eagle, or a herd of elk (usually seen around dawn or dusk), and on the less desirable side we also have gophers, moles, voles, wasps and mosquitos - and the possibility of a coyote, mountain lion, or bear though those sightings are quite rare. You are welcome to roam the property and explore. Please don't enter the chicken paddocks, the peafowl enclosure, or the horse pasture for your safety and the animals' welfare. We typically have plenty of eggs from our chickens, who are fed a soy-free, corn-free diet with lots of table scraps - just let us know if you'd like us to stock the frig with some (available seasonally from spring to fall)! During the summer there may be garden produce available as well, and in August you are welcome to pick blackberries from the ever-present blackberry bushes that are found in many places around the property. Please take care around the pond - there are fish in there, and it's quite mucky. It's not suitable for swimming. There is no fence or gate around the pond - or the hot tub for that matter - so please watch your children carefully. Jenel and Khohay were very communicative hosts! It’s very clear they put a lot of love and character into their property. We loved the farm fresh eggs for breakfast in the morning and would highly recommend the sauna as an add on! We enjoyed waking up to the rooster “roostering”, the sheep walking the path near the tiny house, and feeding the goats! The deck was lovely for making s’mores and we appreciated having the outdoor fireplace. The layout of the tiny home was really comfortable and cozy. The puppies were a huge highlight of our trip and were absolute sweethearts as well and it was nice to love on them in the communal bunkhouse.

This was the perfect option for my husband and I’s cozy weekend staycation. Clear instructions/directions, host was quick to respond, and thoughtful amenities. We loved having the option to cook our own food using the outdoor kitchen. We would have loved to take advantage of more out there but it was pouring down rain. Close enough to local eateries that we were able to grab breakfast on Saturday morning while we were feeling lazy (highly recommend The Kettle in Enumclaw!) It was a fun experience to stay in an airstream style camper. We would visit again in the future.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sweetheart Cabin for a night during our first trip to rainier and it was excellent! Khohay was super friendly and talkative and an amazing host. The cabin was super comfortable and cozy. We heard elk at night too which was super cool! Definitely recommend for anyone trying to escape the city and explore Rainier and the surrounding nature.

We loved the peace and quiet during the day. At night you can hear the owls, coyotes and hawks. Fabulous. Megan’s property and the yurt feel comfortable. She has done a great job of making it groovy.

We had a really nice stay here on a sunny weekend in the fall. Kory was very friendly and brought us a bag of freshly picked apples and pears. The tent and bed were comfortable, it got chilly at night and the bed was very warm and cozy. The location was convenient, less than a mile into town.

2 nights at The Khohay Farm

The tiny home is the perfect place to rest your head on the best land with the best hosts. The sweet tenants (goats, sheep, chickens, and frenchies) are the icing to the cake. I can’t wait to find a reason to come back!

Weekend Trip to Olalla Flower Farm Glamping

This was the perfect first camping trip for our 3 young kiddos (ages 2-6). They absolutely loved it and did not want to leave! Jodi was a lovely host, the beds were comfy & warm and the bathroom / outdoor shower were lovely. We’d definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Bywater Yurt

The yurt is awesome… well kept, lovely bed and futon plus two tables one for eating or playing cards. There is a cool shower and toilet setup. The toilet is compostable. The only downside is no sink to wash hands, but hand sanitizer provided. Owner is lovely and very welcoming.
