You will find numerous hikes in the Olympic National Forest within a short drive, a gorgeous waterfall and swimming hole within 5 minutes, parks, Whitney Garden & Nursery, boat launches, crabbing, clamming & oyster digging, wildlife watching, enjoying the Hood Canal, and much more! Or, just sit back and relax in tranquility, as the property sits at the end of a cul de sac just before entering national forest land. Be sure to leash your pets and keep a good eye, as there are wildcats, coyotes, and bears in the area. Learn more about this land: Pull your RV or trailer onto this lot and take in the beautiful southwestern view of Mt. Jupiter ridge and a peek-a-boo view of the Dosewallips River! Listen closely, and you will hear the sounds of the river below. The lot is equipped with power and water hookups! Please be aware the water hookup is near the main gate entrance and the power is about 40 feet apart, so you may need a long hose (see pic). Enjoy the view from the large deck, firepit, or picnic table overlooking the river, valley, and mountains. This lot is truly a little slice of heaven! Within a few minutes, find yourself at Rocky Brook falls (see pics) for a spectacular view and even a swim if you so please! Pleasant Harbor Marina (also shown in pics) also within 10 minutes! You will also find many hiking trails and parks nearby! There is weak cell service on the lot, so you may or may not be able to connect. I get 1-2 bars with Sprint. While this property is not very far off the Dosewallips road (35 mph), it is generally very quiet and peaceful. You may hear cars and motorcycles from time to time, but very faintly. The lot is at about 350 ft. elevation, so you may get noise traveling up the valley from the residential community below (to which I belong), such as dogs, people using chainsaws, etc. There is hunting allowed in the national forest, so you could potentially hear guns in the distance during the day, but that is rare. There are a few close neighbors, so please be respectful and quiet, especially in the evening. Please bring your own firewood when campfires are allowed and please do not forage for firewood on or around the property. Lastly, while the sightings have been few and rare, the neighbors have seen bears, cougars, coyotes, and bobcats near their homes and this property. So keep an eye on your children and pets, especially if off-leash (your pet of course!) The property also slopes a bit where the deck starts, so again, keep a close eye on the kiddos. You have a very good chance of seeing the local Roosevelt Elk that travel in huge herds around Brinnon (See pics). They sometimes lay down and hang out on the grass on the property! Make sure your pets have their flea and tick updates!

They purchased truck loads of scrap glass to resell as fish glass, which is still seen today in the parking lot. They grew bamboo and sold imperfect veggies that farmers were going to throw away. The camp, for the tent site… we arrived and she drove us all over her property and told us to just choose where we wanted to camp. We chose to stay in back of the horse area. While we could see the house from there, we didn’t care and if you want to move back in the woods further, there are spots back there too that would provide more privacy if you need that. This is a great site and a one of a kind experience being that close to the horses."

It is an ideal location for large groups and in order to keep camp as a single site, largeer groups are given preference. Centrally located and with 10 acres of field, forest, and farm, there is something of interest for everyone. In camp you will find a rustic kitchen, two 6' picnic tables, and a fire pit with accessories. There is a resource area near the house with an electrical outlet and a Flexzilla water hose, so bring containers. We have really nice firewood bundles as well as fresh eggs for sale and lawn games, hammocks, etc., available for rent. While the campsite, play field, and driveway loops are mowed, most of the grounds are wild, so bring your tromping shoes. Birdsong comes early here, and the night is filled with the sounds of crickets. No city lights, so the stargazing is wonderful. The goats are gentle, curious, and deep body scratch lovers. The chickens and ducks are not hands-on but some, especially the ducks, will eat out of your hands. The local fauna include deer, skunk, coyote, rabbit, weasel, and possum--bear and cat are not common, but please do be conscientious about leaving food out and keep the lid on the compost. While there isn't water on the property, Mayfield, Ike Kinswa, and Riffe lakes are all 20-30 minutes from here and provide lots of boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities. Carlisle Lake offers walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, fishing, summer concerts, and a playground, and is just a five-minute drive from camp. We are midway between Portland and Seattle and just 15 minutes off of I-5 making Pleasant Places a perfect meet-in-the-middle location. Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, the East Side, and the Pacific Coast are all day trips, just an hour or two from here. We are Judy and Summer and Chula, mother and daughter and dog, and we are pleased you are considering a stay with us. We have a communal fire pit in the middle of the 3 acre parcel, 7 sites in total and a clean and new Porta-Potty toilet. There is no water on site so please bring your own water. You may also bring your own portable propane fire pit should you wish not to use the communal fire pit. We hope this description helps! Site 1 is best suited for a camper van. Everyone must pass by this site to get to the other sites. SIte 1 is also closest to the Porta Potty. Site 5 and 6 are in the very back of the property and might be best if you are camping with another family. Site 7 is closest to the fire pit. One tent per space please. Tenino, the area we are in is where the First Nations People used as the Gathering Grounds. The Europeans when they came with their railroad chose to continue that tradition. Tenino is ground zero for the measurement of where one is on the railroad. We fell in love with our farm with its much untouched acres to create a place where people can gather and reconnect with life's natural beauty. We are certified organic, Salmon Safe certified, and pesticide free. Dragons' Gate Gardens is home to many giant crystals and here their beauty works delightfully with the land. The area has gently rolling hills filled with wildflowers during the earlier part of the Summer. Dragons Gate Gardens and Wilds has a hundred and twenty acres to explore. The Skookumchuck River is a little over a mile away where you can enjoy a waterfall and walk along the river with low bank where one can get into the water. Doing so is a great favorite of our guests. There is a giant crystal housed in a gazebo that overlooks the surrounding fields and woods. Time to meditate with the giant crystal in the gazebo can be booked with Kathleen for a fee of $55. We are wild and woolly. We provide a place to experience nature as it simply is. We privilege pollinators above human aesthetics. Wildflowers abound, including various dandelions of which many are edible and healing plants. The farm is on 12 acres of sloping field set against a tall forested backdrop, and only a 5 minute walk from restaurants, shopping, bars and groceries. Weekend Trip to Misty Meadows Adventures Mt.Rainier

This was our second time staying at Steve and Starla’s campsite! The property is spacious and well kept, also close to the Mt. Rainier park entrance. Although the weather this time was not ideal, our group had a great time during our trip. Thank you to Steve for suggesting site 2 which is a little higher ground and surrounded by trees to keep us a little drier during our stay. The hosts were able to answer any questions we had in a timely manner. Overall I would highly recommend this campsite. Thank you again for hosting us and wish you well in the future!

Weekend Trip to Airstream Glamping 1

This was the perfect option for my husband and I’s cozy weekend staycation. Clear instructions/directions, host was quick to respond, and thoughtful amenities. We loved having the option to cook our own food using the outdoor kitchen. We would have loved to take advantage of more out there but it was pouring down rain. Close enough to local eateries that we were able to grab breakfast on Saturday morning while we were feeling lazy (highly recommend The Kettle in Enumclaw!) It was a fun experience to stay in an airstream style camper. We would visit again in the future.

We loved the Cedar River Cabin! Just the right size with all the glamping amenities. Cute, cozy, easy to get to, nestled in a lovely wooded area. Moxie, our cat, enjoyed it too! Another pitch perfect 🏕️😋 stay at Cedar River Resort! My pup and I stayed at the tent site again and the rain and generally soggy weather made me appreciate the tent pad even more. It’s so nice to not have to lug all the firewood in as well. I just get to breeze on in with my tiny 2 lb bag of kindling and use the firewood available on site for a very reasonable price. My wife and I had a great stay here! This was a last minute booking we made and we couldn’t be happier. The site was large, clean, private, and backed up to where a train goes over a bridge, which was an added charming effect watching the train go by often. Additionally, the host offered firewood with starter logs and comfortable chairs. Finally, the restrooms and showers were very well maintained, well lit, and the hot water in the showers was heavenly after hiking the Skyline Trail in Mt Rainier!

Weekend Trip to Green Apple Alpacas

This was a neat spot. Very cool to see all the animals and the hosts were very kind. Hook ups were reliable and ground in this specific site was level enough to only need one small block on one back tire. Note for anyone visiting, this is a working farm, and when there is not camping in the pasture it’s used for animals. Poop was everywhere, like every 10 (or less) steps there would be poop. It’s alpaca and goat so it’s not wet or gross, but you’ll want to bring some boots if you plan to walk around the field much - definitely not a place for bare feet. Would stay again, and keep this in mind for the future.

We enjoyed our stay in the yurt! Plenty of bedding, towels, utensils for cooking and eating. No baking sheet, we used aluminum foil instead with no issue. Beautiful property, wonderful hosts. Will be back!
