Curley Creek Canyon

8 sites · RVs, Tents10 acres · Port Orchard, WA
Forest camping on a huckleberry farm with a salmon stream. 10 acres of permaculture and mycology includes 5 granite fire pits and loop trails with dispersed tent sites. A remote island, naturist beach and kayak at the creek. Parking is limited. Guests love it here: "We stayed two nights at Curley Creek Canyon and loved the experience! Jerrett was a wonderful host and met us upon arrival with great recommendations of places to explore on his beautiful property. The camp sites are clean, private, and have fire pits, and benches provided. We took the roped trail down to the creek (bring gloves its a bit steep) and saw large groups of salmon swim upstream. This time of year is magical with the dropping leafs and lush moss/fungus sightings. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick getaway from the city to connect to nature. Thanks, Jerrett for the experience and look forward to our next visit!"

The Delightful Farm

5 sites · RVs, Tents4 acres · Lakebay, WA
Our grandma was a very kind woman who was one of the most generous people you'd ever meet, so much so that she was often taken advantage of when it came to the amount of space she allocated of the farm to people's stuff, after she passed the family has spent over 2 years to remove over 15 tons of items that didn't belong to us. We are now so happy to present the Delightful Farm. A hemp experience that is quite the turnaround. We now have 4 pigs, 20 baby chicks and 30 full grown layers who are proliferating the farm pretty quickly. Our hemp which is definitely a mainstay is now over 6-8ft tall and growing and smelling delicious. Come on out and see what the buzz is all about. You're guaranteed to have a magical experience. See you soon!

Madrona Meadow Camp

1 site · Tent10 acres · Anderson Island, WA
This secluded meadow has sweeping views, including a stunning shot of Mount Rainier on clear days. Surrounded by forested land including a park preserve, the land is quiet and private. A great place to watch birds, access park trails or just enjoy being outside in nature. There are old fruit trees that give plentiful fruit starting in August, and depending on the time of year you'll also find blackberries, huckleberries and salal berries. Additional tent sites are tucked into the trees. Serving all is an outdoor/covered compost toilet, rustic fire pit with log benches and picnic table for cooking on your camp stove. A mini herb garden awaits you as well. Ask me about booking the entire spot for your own private event!

Fischer's Place on the Estuary

1 site · Lodging6 acres · Union, WA
My family bought this property from a wonderful man renowned in the world of plant pathology. My father once asked him, "George, what is the secret to a long and happy life?" George took a deep breath and exhaled. He smiled, a twinkle in his eye, and said, "Randy, (dramatic pause), don't worry, {another lengthy pause) don't hurry." We are fortunate to live here, and we want to share the beauty with you. Please stay here and take a moment free of worry and free of hurry. About the hosts: Camas and her father, Randy, co-host this property. One or both will be onsite at all times should any issue arise. About the site: This 17-foot 2005 Jay Feather Ultra Lite trailer is clean and cozy - perfect for one or two people. A third person is welcome, but it will likely be a little cramped. The double bed has a memory foam mattress and is made-up with quality sheets. Towels are provided at no extra cost. The kitchen has a 3 burner propane stove and oven, a small fridge, a microwave, and sink. Coffee, tea, tea kettle, French Press, creamer, and sugar are provided, as well as a few dishes, a pot and pan, and utensils. The spring water is sourced directly from our property and filtered, so you can enjoy it from the tap! In my opinion, it's some of the best water around - feel free to fill up before you depart. The site is set back from WA-State Route 106, but only by about 20 yards. There is traffic noise during the day, but it's not too bad, and it is typically pretty quiet at night. Hopefully you enjoy the sounds of wildlife ~ birds, lapping waves, and even a creek add to the experience. A panoramic view of the estuary is one of the best parts of this property. It's dreamy, really. With the tide changing every 6 hours, you just can't get bored. You may fall asleep to tide flats and wake up to what feels like a lake. If you like being on or in the water - bring some kayaks, surf or paddle boards, and some high quality water shoes (never go barefoot!). You will have access to 400 feet of private beach and tide flats. Kayaking is tide dependent - recommendations for paddle times will be in the binder. (Currently closed to harvesting 6/23) If you have your shellfish license, feel free to harvest a few oysters or clams (depending on DOH recommendations) . Be aware - it is a rustic beach, and it is across the highway, so watch for traffic and watch your step on the beach. Our house is within sight of the trailer, but you have to make an effort to see it. From our house, we can only see the parking spot, and due to shrubbery & a shed, we can't hear talking voices, so it is pretty private. We do have 2 very friendly, small dogs who will undoubtedly alert us to your arrival, but they stay on our deck and quiet down right away. A welcome binder and maps will help you get an idea of the area. For a tiny town, Union has a LOT to offer - there are several dining choices within a few miles. Union was even listed in the top 10 "Prettiest Towns in America" in Forbes Magazine in 2009! Learn more about this land: One of a kind view of the Skokomish Estuary and Olympic Mountains. Enjoy a different scene with the changing tide. Bald Eagles, Salmon, Great Herons. One night stays may be optional for an additional fee. Message for more info before booking.

Owl Glade

2 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · Herron Island, WA
Please note, this is HASRSTINE ISLAND, NOT HERRON. I haven't gotten Hipcamp to fix this yet. There is a bridge to the island and the coordinates offered for site are correct. Also no bathroom set up at this time. Beautiful peaceful forest with trails, a great spot for elopements (elopement package separate) and a beautiful meadow with a small ringed fire pit for one site and a movable fir pit for another.. Maximum 2 sites in 5 acres. 70% of the Island is forestry but sound DOES carry a long way so it's not dead-quiet. Harstine Island has a BRIDGE, no ferry! One hammock is left up in the forest and there are places for your hammocks to be hung, as well. There is one spot on drive that is between two trees so you need to go slowly and be careful, 9 foot wide at wheel base only. Please take note of this. Easy for cars, a bit tricky for some trailer/RVs. Photo and video can be seen on webpage. Types of wildlife include barred owls, a nighthawk usually in summer can be seen at dusk, western alligator lizards, warblers, robins, crows, wrens, a bear has visited before (lucky me heard it 'woof' at me, bear didn't appreciate my singing), deer, others have seen red fox in the past but we have not been so lucky. Birder's paradise. one lovely review calls it a great place for forest bathing! Puget sound is SO clean here with a diverse salt water life. Orca and Humpback have been spotted nearby. You can track them at Orca Network or Puget Sound Whale Sightings on Facebook. Both '22 and '23 have seen orca making rounds with the incoming tide going under the bridge and circling the island! There is Jarrell Cove state park and a boat ramp at Latimer's Landing Boat Launch few miles way. There is a great local market at the community center Saturdays from 10-12 in the summer. No water view, this is heavy forest off a gravel drive into privacy. No power, no water, pack it in pack it out. Please be careful of deer when you are driving in and observe island speed limits. Familiarize yourself with the personal fire extinguisher at the site.

Hidden Meadow on Henderson Inlet

1 site · RV4 acres · Olympia, WA
Bring your RV and relax in your private bit of nature! Our property is like a private park. Consisting of two large fields, lush forest, stream, and Henderson inlet, the property offers complete privacy in nature while being only minutes from town. Nestled in the forest on the shores of Henderson Inlet, you will be immersed in nature. We have a 10x20 platform to park your RV next to. The campsite is equipped with plenty of seating including a couch and two outdoor chairs with a table, a beautiful handmade rocking chair with coffee table, a picnic table and fire pit with 2 benches. The campground is located in a private meadow in the North East corner of the property over 600 feet from the house. It is on the edge of a roughly 2 acre meadow. The camp is adjacent to a roughly 2 acre meadow with plenty of space for the kids to run around or play games. We have a network for nature trails along the 600 ft shoreline of Henderson Inlet. Along the trails you will find a variety of benches and chairs to relax in. In the summer, enjoy picking black berries and salmon berries off the trails. At high tides, enjoy the views of the inlet from the deck along with the various sit spots that overlook the water. Eagles, hawks, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who might come say hi. We are about 10 minutes from downtown Olympia and about 5 minutes from I-5. You may see us around during the day, playing, working in the yard or walking the trails. However, we will respect campers' privacy. We do have two dogs on the property (Wilma and Bean) who are very friendly and we will keep them out of camp during your stay. Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. Sound travels well over the water so please be mindful. We have a long, steep, curvy driveway. At the bottom of the driveway, you will find signs directing you to the camp site. If you have extra vehicles, we have extra parking spaces adjacent to the campsite. The road out to camp may be bumpy (we do our best to keep it smooth) so go slow and beware of natural obstacles. We will have a barrel of water to put your fires out. Please put fires completely out before leaving unattended. Campsite boundaries: Please keep all vehicles on the designated roads. You have access to the field north of the campsite and all of the walking trails between the water and the fields. See photo of boundaries. Note: This is a dry camp only. We do not have power, water or toilets available (yet). Please bring your own firewood and check ahead for burn bans. In the evenings there may be mosquitos so make sure to bring your bug spray.
