We have installed new signage to facilitate site identification. Many of you were familiar with my sister, Morgan. She has recently relocated to Texas. My name is Erin. My boyfriend, Dave, and I reside in the farmhouse. My mother, Lauren, also makes her home here. We have discovered several exceptional camping spots on our 15-acre property. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the forest or lounge in our stargazing hammock circle. During the summer months, from July to September, our farm will be ablaze with seasonal fruit, including blackberries, cherries, apples, and salmonberries. Our expansive fields and wooded surroundings are also home to a diverse array of wildlife, such as bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, barn swallows, quail, and their offspring. Deer and occasional coyotes roam the property, but rest assured, they are apprehensive of us and pose no threat. We derive great pleasure from spending time outdoors, so you may frequently observe us engaged in fieldwork, construction, or simply relaxing in our stargazing hammock circle. 2 nights at North Wind House: Historic Cascadia

I stayed in the Willow Cabin for two nights over the Thanksgiving holiday, and it was exactly the peaceful reset I was hoping for. I arrived after 9pm, and even in the dark, the property felt welcoming with its whimsical lighting guiding the way. Reg, the host, was there to greet me and walk me through everything — from the cozy cabin setup to the full outhouse bathroom and the little kitchen area with a fridge for essentials. The cabin itself is simple and calming, with a twin and a queen bed, both with fresh linens. Reg had the space heater going before I arrived, which was such a thoughtful touch. Since I stayed during the colder season, I was grateful I brought a heated blanket, and I’d recommend others do the same that time of year. The water straight from the tap was incredibly fresh and delicious, truly something you don’t get in the city — just a small detail that made the stay feel even more special. What really stood out to me was the beauty and quiet of the property. Reg genuinely encourages guests to wander and explore, and it made the whole stay feel more personal and grounding. It’s the perfect spot for anyone wanting to unplug, reflect, and enjoy a truly low-amenity, chill cabin experience. And I have to mention this — the shower water pressure and heat were amazing. Truly a highlight! If you know you enjoy a simple, peaceful, back-to-basics kind of stay, Willow Cabin is such a gem. I’d absolutely return.

Reg’s hundred acre wood is a charming mix of huts and outbuildings new and old. The vegetation overgrowth and misty air conceal various construction materials and antiques around the property. Dishes and coffee are available, and the BBQ worked as long as you can squeeze into the narrow place where it’s situated. The washroom is cute, the kitchen is slated for demolition, and the cabin we stayed in was warm. Reg was enthusiastic about showing us around the property, and introducing us to the sheep.

Reg is friendly and check in was very easy. The place had everything we needed and the space heater worked very well even on the lowest setting. The area is beautiful, particularly the little grotto area down the hill. I think it's an excellent stay especially for the price.

Reg has created a very cool space on his property. We loved staying in the analogue room, it felt very private and the bed was really comfortable! There’s a cozy washroom with a clawfoot tub and hot water and a kitchen both only a few steps away. The property itself is stunning! Lots of hiking to explore and a volcanic grotto that had some of the most incredible rocks I’ve seen. This place is magic!

As other reviews said, if you stay at the tent site you will hear road noise. I was primed for this, so it didn't bother me. Reg's place was absolutely perfect for a quick spot to car camp before heading back home from exploring Baker. He and his partner Amanda were very communicative and kind. The property is clean and charming and I can tell they both have a lot of pride in it. I will definitely come back, next time to hopefully rent a cabin. Thanks again for opening your special space to others!

Camp site: 5/5; you can tell each site was designed with a lot of love by an experienced camper. There's a good amount of distance between sites for privacy. Grounds/Amenities: 5/5; well kept and again thoughtfully designed. The bath house is such a cute touch. The hammock circle became part of our nightly routine for stargazing. Local area: 5/5; this area is the perfect blend of being able to enjoy nature with the convenience of small town vibes close by. Wildlife: 5/5; be prepared to encounter the local residents. Our first night we heard a pack of coyotes close by howling together; then before bed two owls had a chat right outside our tent. Hosts: 5/5; Erin responds super fast and is so helpful. Her mom Lauren, who was onsite, is so sweet and welcoming.

Site 4 is amazing. Its secluded and you'll feel like the only ones in the woods. Very shady. The campground is safe. I was solo camping with my dog and we both had a great time! The hammocks are great and the laying in them at night you see tons of stars. I loved the quirky bathhouse/shower. Only downside is its far from the bathroom and there were A LOT of mosquitos.

I camped here with my wife and 9 yr old son for two nights. We had a great time despite it raining on our first night. We hung out at the site for a bit to cook, eat, and relax and also spent some time checking out the rest of the island. Erin was quick to respond to some of our questions and in addressing a small issue with the water spigot. All in all, we had a great time and have no complaints about our relaxing outdoor family weekend.

Reg was a wonderful and thoughtful host! He was extremely accommodating, we came on a very hot day and he provided us with a box fan in the cabin. Fern Gully #3 is a charming spot, perfect for backpackers or minimalist campers. My husband and I are not those people — we bring way too much gear! We ended up setting up in the designated parking area and spilling into the driveway. (We were at the end, so we didn’t block anyone’s way.) Erin, our host, was wonderful — communicative, helpful, and considerate. She checked in to be sure both we and the family in the neighboring site were happy. She even gave us a heads-up about a backup at the ferry dock, which saved us time by driving around instead. The property itself is spacious, with sites thoughtfully designed to give campers plenty of privacy. The bath house is rustic and adorable, the hammock circle is a peaceful spot to relax, and water is easily accessible. Even the porta-potty was clean. This was my very first HipCamp stay — and I give it all the stars!
