Purchased in 2013 after a fire came through the area. We've spent the last 7 years regenerating the land, planting trees, building our house and collecting places for people to rest their heads. Masabaje is the first two letters of each of our parents names (Margaret, Sandy, Barry, Jerry). We offer five listings - a converted schoolbus, an Airstream, retro trailer, truck bed glamp pod and tent spot. Meet Birdy, a semi-converted Blue Bird school bus with a comfortable queen mattress, couch, two recliners, dry kitchen, cooking utensils, and camp stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 4 minute walk). Birdy sits at "Top Pond", farthest from the house in a super quiet and private spot. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). There is no electricity available in Birdy. Devices can be charged up at the house. There is also no heater in Birdy, overnight temperatures in September and October can dip down into the mid-low 40's or lower. Meet Tin Man, we found him after he had been in an accident. We bandaged him up and he became the first place to sleep when we bought our empty land. He has a comfortable double mattress, couch, chair, kitchen, cooking utensils, and two burner stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 30 second walk). Tin Man sits on our driveway round-a-bout and is closest to the house. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). Ellensburg is known for its wind and our land is just down from a wind farm. We cannot control the wind, but Birdy sits in a pretty wind protected oasis. Masabaje is a clothing optional space. We are less than 2 hours from Seattle, 1 hour to Yakima wine country, 40 minutes to Vantage, 40 minutes to Leavenworth, 50 minutes to Snoqualmie Pass, 15 minutes to Ellensburg, 25 minutes to Roslyn, 25 minutes to Yakima River Canyon for floating and hiking, and so much more!

This 1950s picker's cabin is located in Naches Heights among orchards and vineyards. Cowiche Canyon and hiking trails adjacent. Close to White Pass and the Tieton, Naches and Yakima rivers. The cabin is part of our local agricultural history. It was built by my grandfather to house migrant workers during apple picking season and that is how it was used until the late 1980s. It is not fancy, but it is cozy. Filled with books from local authors (Raymond Carver, Justice William O'Douglas, etc) and on local topics including tribal and labor history. Goats, alpacas, chickens on site. Free range cats. Wineries next door. Brewery closeby. Close to town but peaceful and quiet. Host is a bioregional herbalist and can offer advice for seasonal foraging options. You are likely to see us working in the shop and on the grounds. We will also do our best to give you your privacy. Weekend Trip to Airstream Glamping 1

This was the perfect option for my husband and I’s cozy weekend staycation. Clear instructions/directions, host was quick to respond, and thoughtful amenities. We loved having the option to cook our own food using the outdoor kitchen. We would have loved to take advantage of more out there but it was pouring down rain. Close enough to local eateries that we were able to grab breakfast on Saturday morning while we were feeling lazy (highly recommend The Kettle in Enumclaw!) It was a fun experience to stay in an airstream style camper. We would visit again in the future.

Weekend Trip to The Khohay Farm

Staying at the Sweetheart Cabin was the PERFECT autumn weekend getaway! It was stormy and rainy outside a lot of the time, but that just made the cozy cabin even better with the wood stove, string lights, candles, and blankets. The cabin as well as communal spaces were clean and everyone was so kind. They said that the number one rule was that we felt at-home :) Thank you so so much Jenel and Khohay, my partner and I had a beautiful time at your farm <3

Weekend Trip to The Khohay Farm

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sweetheart Cabin for a night during our first trip to rainier and it was excellent! Khohay was super friendly and talkative and an amazing host. The cabin was super comfortable and cozy. We heard elk at night too which was super cool! Definitely recommend for anyone trying to escape the city and explore Rainier and the surrounding nature.

Weekend Trip to Cowiche Canyon Orchard Cabin-Heated

I really enjoyed the space. This was a halfway point to get to Great Prosser Balloon Festival by 6a Saturday morning. I picked up a Walmart order then straight to the Cathaus. (We didn’t see the cat). I pulled together a little dinner. Maria had some dishes and utensils but I’d brought my own. I went and sat on the covered area overlooking the apple orchard with my dog. The local winery next door had an evening concert going, so even had a little entertainment. The workers cabin was cute. Nothing too fancy or too shabby. The full size bed was cozy. I’m not a huge fan of foam form pillows but at 4a I discovered one of the bunk beds had a fluffy pillow. Too bad I didn’t check around 9p when I turned in. 🙂 My border collie did well. There was ample lighting once dark to see the path to the outhouse. Plenty of books to browse or read if any guest wants to fill downtime. I enjoyed the location and the basket of homemade goodies to purchase. I guess if I had to provide any feedback, it might be to add some fairy lights maybe around the “kitchen” area. Everyone’s opinion will be different. I tend to like just a little light at night, typically in another room. The cabin was pitch dark when lights were out. I had brought some usb fairy lights with me and honestly I should have left them behind as a gift. Maybe I’ll throw my extra string in the mail to Maria. Thanks for the hospitality! Hope I have the opportunity to visit again.

1 night at Juliane Henry’s Equestrian

Fun evening on a horse farm. The yurt was small and cozy - just enough space for the queen air mattress and two small single pads. We enjoyed watching the horses, loved the mountain view at sunset, and had a fun campfire. A few things to help future travelers. It's a big property, so I was glad I messaged the host beforehand to ask directions to the yurt. We couldn't find the restroom, so I had to knock on the door at the house to get directions (it's in the center entrance of the horse barn). We also weren't sure where to get water and never found the petting farm area with small animals. It would be helpful if the host made a map of the property to show guests where things are.

Weekend Trip to Juliane Henry’s Equestrian

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Juliane's ranch! The yurt was clean and had comfortable mattresses waiting for us. The place is especially magical if you have little ones. My 5 year old was in heaven being surrounded by horses and visiting the petting zoo. Right across from the driveway is a short path to take a dip in the river. We did get a lot of bug bites even with bug spray, but that's just how it goes sometimes. We also scheduled a horseback & pony ride for the morning after which was absolutely wonderful. The view of Mt. Si from camp is Hosts were warm and friendly, and my daughter won't stop asking when we can go back. Thank you for having us!

Weekend Trip to Juliane Henry’s Equestrian

My kids and I loved this quick little getaway to the mountains! The yurt had plenty of room for all of us. The views are spectacular and there was no boredom found with a play set and animals to look at and pet, like goats, bunnies, pigs, horses and more! Juliane even gave both my kiddos a pony ride! Right across the road there’s a peaceful spot right on the river to hang out with and the location is super close to town for dining and shopping. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Masabaje Camp

Loved the dogs! The place was cute and peaceful. Not a bad drive to the Gorge and we slept well. Hip camp is just that and this is a hip camp. Thank you for the peace.

Weekend Trip to Cowiche Canyon Orchard Cabin-Heated

Day trip down the Yakima river was planned, and we needed lodging for Friday night. Most hotels in Yakima are kind of sketchy, and campgrounds were full. We stumbled on this one through HipCamp. Be prepared for a rustic outhouse experience for toilet needs, and running water has three steps for accessing the faucet. (It works but isn't easy.) The cabin is an old pickers shed, and the hosts have made it very comfortable for people needing short term lodging. One double bed, and two bunk beds could sleep 4. Room had a working air conditioner and a microwave, and I believe that a refrigerator outside of the cabin could be used for food storage. (We had our food in an ice chest.) There is a little sitting area that looks out over an orchard, and we enjoyed our evening watching sunset over the orchard. It was quiet and pleasant, but be prepared to get a little dusty sitting out there. Completely worth it. A little tricky to find, but screenshot the directions when Maria sends the message to you. Internet is hard to access from the road, so make sure that your directions are available offline.

Weekend Trip to The Khohay Farm

You cant go wrong with a tiny home, in the vicinity of mount rainier, with cute animals! my partner and I absolutely LOVED our stay at Khohay’s Farm. It was a highlight. We could see the beautiful stars and have a quant little getaway. The hosts, Jenel & Khohay really made it shine though. They put so much work into the farm, and their animals are so cute! I’m talking goats, sheeps, pig, and chickens!! everything was so clean and just well put together. HIGHLY recommend staying here!!
