This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek. This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)! Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi. There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever! We haven't added all the experiential options yet, so if there is something you are interested in please inquire. Every year we make it more and more magical and interesting. It's four miles up a county-maintained dirt road and one mile to a non-motorized lake. I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid! If you're bringing a pet, they must be on a leash and be quiet pets. If you are bringing a child they also need to be quiet and respectful. I want to keep my neighbors and my other guests happy with a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!

There was originally a camper parked here with a roof over it while the main house was built back in th 1970s. When the home was finished the camper was moved out and it was turned into the cabin. It originally had a wood stove but it was always to hot so we replaced it with an electric heater and at the same time remodeled the interior. It is very comfortable for two to three people as it only has the bunk beds, microwave, small closet and dining table with 4 chairs including a rocker and a cabinet with pots, pans and silverware for your convenience. Learn more about this land: Country cabin is on the treeline at the base of O'tool mt. across the street from Lk. Roosevelt. Includes bunk beds, frig, microwave, hot plate, coffee pot, toaster, dining table, small closet, firepit with firewood and horseshoe pits with shoes. One mile to boat launch. Ten miles to nearest loaf of bread. Close to logging roads. You will have aprox. one acre to yourself. Quiet and secluded. We are close by if ever there is anything you need. Recently we were very close to the Crown Creek fire and a hotshot crew came and "prept" our property and cut down a lot of the underbrush therefore changing the landscape around the cabin so the main picture has changed to the current one.

We don't have a view of the river but it's nearby and our meadows and mountains offer a peaceful scene all its own. Feels like we're in the country but we live on a paved county road and only 4 miles from the city of Priest River. Bring your boat for a trip on the Pend Oreille River to Lake Pend Oreille. Launching is a short distance away at the Mud Hole, Priest River City Beach or Riley Creek Campground. Try your hand at fishing for bass, kokanee, perch, northern pike, and trout in the river or on the lake. Wake up in a peaceful woodsy setting where elk, deer, the occasional moose and turkeys roam the property and are often seen in the meadow. Load up your ATV, side by side or motorcycle and head for Priest Lake right from here. It’s a 21 mile (40 minute ride) to Coolin, ID. Enjoy the back county and take some of the IDL roads along the way to explore scenic drainages and in July/August pick some luscious huckleberries (the state fruit of Idaho) for a pancake or milkshake treat. Once owned by the Lael family (whom the road is named after), this land supported lots of horses in it's past. The Lael family homsteaded this area, raising horses on their acerage and the original Lael house is still standing on the lower section of the property. Old and beautiful apple, plum, cherry and pear trees still thrive in the orchard they planted along with massive willow trees. I'm honored to continue the Lael's love for the equine with my own herd of horses. Horseback riding is available upon request and for an additional fee of $75 per person for a ride.

The beach with the dock between site 1 and 2 is also used by our family as well. Our place is a relaxed atmosphere and we enjoy meeting new campers visiting us. We do this because we enjoy sharing our space with others.

Weekend Trip to Prater mountain ranch

I had a peaceful and quiet time at this lovely property. I booked for the weekend and ended up being the only one there. Will was a great host and checked in on me daily. My dog and I had a wonderful time. We chilled in the morning, had a swim in the lovely pond, a nice walk and a nap then sat by the fire in the evening. Couldn't be better. Highly recommend and looking forward to going to one of the music festivals the owners hold there!!! Thank you so much.

Site 1 is spacious and includes 50 amp electrical service and water hookup. RV's up to 55' and room for parking 2 vehicles. The lot is fairly open but is surrounded by trees. Includes a fire pit, picnic table, firewood, a big deck/table and a bbq.

We loved staying at this HipCamp. It was one of the best locations we have stayed. Literally feet away from the Pend Oreille River, the views were amazing. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had to change our plans and they worked with HipCamp to get two nights refunded even though it was outside their cancellation policy. We would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Brown Barrel

Brown Barrel has huge potential to become a really nice spot to get away for some quiet time. We wish we had known that we would be the only ones there as our spot was extremely dusty as it appeared to be more recently established and there was another spot that had gravel and would been a more pleasant spot to set up camp. Generally, the "camp ground" was pretty rough. The flush toilet was a major bonus even though we were fully prepared to dry camp. Our dogs appreciated being able to be off leash.

This was further out than we expected, but it was great. The pond looked a little murky but was actually very cool and with such hot temps we were thankful for it. Large space (field) to choose where you want to camp. Or dogs loved to run and we appreciated not needing to keep them leashed. But that because we were the only ones there. It would be different if there were more campers around.

Camp ground is close to town, for stores, the river and lake. We even found great trails to use our RZR. We will for sure camp with them again in the future. 😚

Stewart and Shawna's waterfront camp was AMAZING! We had a wonderful time. The water was perfect for kids of all ages. We had a large group and they were so kind and accommodating and it made for a great family camp out. It was great to be able to bring our dogs with us as well and have them off leash to run around and swim with us. They had some super fun water toys by the dock that everyone loved to play on. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.

What a way to escape reality for a bit! The land was beautiful and quiet. Directions were clear and concise! The Outhouses were clean and maintained well and bonus wood was provided, just be prepared to cut it (: we personally didn’t swim in the pond, but it was really well maintained. It would be an amazing spot for Early- Mid fall! We didn’t use them, but grills and were there if you bring propane. Overall a beautiful experience, would be fun to do a big family group trip or retreat here!
