Coffee Creek is an intentional community and working farm on the north side of Centralia, Washington. While our 11 acres feels very secluded, we are just 3 miles from historic downtown and 10 minutes from the freeway and shopping. An accessible oasis!
There is a park with swimming, fishing and hiking along the Skookumchuck river within a mile of the farm, in addition to the natural beauty found right here at home. We enjoy bird watching, exploring our forest, and relaxing around a fire when we aren't working on the farm.
Seasonal Strawberries and pastured poultry are our specialties, and we offer a wide variety of veggies and fruits. Farm fresh eggs are almost always available and we have organic meats to purchase and grill.

Campfire Tale:
The Legend of John Tornow "The Wildman of the Wynooche."
More than a century ago, the forests around Travers Mountain were home to one of Washington’s most mysterious figures — John Tornow, the Wildman of the Wynooche.
Born in 1880, Tornow grew up as a gifted woodsman and hunter. He was known for his uncanny ability to move silently through the timber, living off the land with the skill of someone more animal than man. But his story turned dark after the tragic deaths of his nephews, the Bauer twins, whose family homestead you can still see from our property. Accused of their killings, Tornow fled deep into the wilderness.
For nearly two years, he evaded every search party and posse that hunted him. Locals whispered that he was impossible to track — some even swore he could vanish into the trees like a ghost. He became both feared and respected, remembered as part outlaw, part legend.
The tale ends in 1913, when a massive manhunt cornered Tornow in the woods. Even then, he fought fiercely, leaving his mark on Grays Harbor history forever.
So when you camp here whether its under the trees-at Tornow’s Timberline, perched high at Outlaw’s Overlook, or gathered by the fire at Wildman’s Saloon Stop — listen closely to the night sounds. The owls, the wind, and the rustling branches might just remind you of the Wildman, still wandering in spirit through these hills.

We chose this spot for our very first camping trip with our 1955 trailer - and it was beautiful! Private (though we had family at the next door spot - which worked perfectly!). Loved all the cute seating spots the owner set up throughout the property. The river was fabulous and we even took out the tubes (a bit cold on a 70 degree day, but so much fun!). 🤩

The view and sounds of the river on this campsite were even better than we expected! It was clean, well-manicured and softly lit at night if you turn on the string lights above the site. It is pretty private, with just one set of neighbors who were also quiet. The river access is tricky from this site, and only for those who are very able to navigate a steep climb.

RV Site #1 and Tahoya River Lodge was great. The site was large, well landscaped and immaculately maintained. Being able to just relax while watching the river was great.
Also it was a quick drive up to Silverdale or Poulsbo so the ability to do day trips from this spot was nice.

This space was beautiful - honestly, the photos for the RV sites don’t do it justice. Site one is more private than site 2, but both are spacious and impeccably kept. There is a community space directly next to site 2 (where the port-a-potty is) that is beautifully kept for all users of the two campsites and the Tahuya River lodge. We worried that on a hot weekend it would feel crowded, but it never did. There are tubes and other water fun things for all to use, and there were always plenty available for anyone wanting to use them. The swimming hole was just over 5’ deep in late August, and the water was super clean and refreshing. The hook-ups worked without any issues, and it’s clear the owners take great pride in how their space is cared for.
The sites are along the Tahuya River, and the campsites themselves are very private. There are fences well-built to help keep you feeling like you are fully in nature. But the sites do exist in the context of a rural neighborhood. For us, the only challenging piece of that was the number of neighbor dogs who visited us throughout our stay. At least 6 dogs in the neighborhood have free range of the neighborhood, which was a challenge for us with our leashed, reactive dogs. All of the dogs were friendly and none posed any kind of threat whatsoever. If we hadn’t had our dogs with us, it would have just been a quirky/fun thing instead of a mildly problematic one.
We would definitely recommend a stay here!

This is a great campsite, right on the river! The site has electricity and water, as well as a picnic table and fire ring - everything you need! You can hear the sound of the river, and it feels so peaceful and secluded. I definitely recommend staying here!
