At the working mill the owner's wife baked pies for the workers to enjoy while they waited for their ground grains (most likely corn, soybeans and wheat). The pond is also recognized as Courtney Mill Pond and Kissinger Mill Pond. Fires in the 1980's have claimed the building creating a perfect place for you to enjoy nature outside. Learn more about this land: Fresh and salt water surrounds a birding, fishing paradise with 5 acres to explore. Bald Eagles are a common siting. We offer a primitive camping experience in the heart of the Northern Neck.  The road is washed out and fresh water pond mostly drained. You will access from Mundy Point Road. This historical site had a working Mill built in the early 1800's. Please check out my friend's place nearby at Callao Brewery and Rivah Vineyards at the Grove!  Grab some fresh local veggies from one of the Amish stands and don't forget your tackle and bait at RW's. This is a rustic little spot about 15 minutes off Rt. 460 in central VA. No amenities, so bring everything you will need, but Merritt was responsive and quite hospitable. The land is privately located among a small hardwood tree grove, but has nice pond views to one side and fields on 2 other sides. Merritt and his wife are lovely people and fascinating to talk to.

This place was absolutely beautiful. The owner and the property are welcoming in thier respective areas. The pond is beautiful, the animals are beautiful, and the site has more than enough. Bring pillows and blankets, pots and pans, but other than that, you are good to go. Wonderful stay here.

Robert's site was as advertised. Super privacy, full hookups. Robert was there to meet us, blowing leaves and putting things in tip-top shape for our stay. We enjoyed the firepit (bought some wood from him) and spent the day exploring Mineral (a couple of consignment shops, 53rd Winery--awesome--and Tim's Restaurant on the lake). This place is just under an hour from our home and great for quick getaways. It's on our list to do again!

Loved the private camp site. You won't get that type of privacy at a typical campground. The grounds are very nicely maintained with many walking trails. The ground at the harvest hill site was very level and perfect for our pop-up. Nearby spot-o-pot was handy. Also great to be able to walk to brew/wine/food/music at the tasting room. Enjoyed both the beer and wine. Highly recommend.

I really liked our spot on the hill. The light pollution was very low allowing for a great view of the night sky. In addition, the area has 5G so star gazing apps work well. I enjoyed the beer and red wine offered at the tasting room and the band that played was nice as well. You can buy food to feed the goats at the tasting room.

Weekend Trip to Southern Revere Vineyard & Farm
We had a great weekend at the Southern Revere Winery & Brewery. We stayed at Hearth Hill with an incredible view of the night sky. There was a portajohn just a few steps from our site which was used by us and the campers at the other 2 sites. All campsites were very private. The property has a fenced dog park, a playground, live music on Saturdays, and 3 adorable goats! The folks in the tasting barn were friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was the food truck cuisine. Bring your own picnic basket since the food truck options on both Saturday and Sunday offered limited choices and overpriced small portions. There are lots of trails throughout the property. Blue jays, cardinals, and lots of other birds enjoyed the berries on the Eastern Red Cedar trees. We saw no other wildlife which surprised us. We thought we'd see squirrels, chipmunks, deer, foxes, and rabbits, but did not see or hear any of these animals. We highly recommend this hipcamp! It was easy to find, easy to access our campsite, and simple in and out. We enjoyed campfires both nights with the firewood we purchased as an extra. It was stacked near our firepit when we arrived.

Fabulous campsite— flat and spacious with a ring of trees sheltering the area. It provided the quiet space to enjoy the setting without any noise or distractions often found when surrounded by other campers. We enjoyed a visit to the tasting room, and saw the goats and gorgeous old vintage truck on the hill. The whole place looks like a postcard.

This is a wonderful campsite. It is by far the largest site I have ever stayed on. We had what must have been over an acre to ourselves. It was very private due to a row of trees between our site and the tasting barn several hundred meters away. It was no problem backing up our trailer to the electric hookup. We were level left-right and therefore didn't need our leveling wedge. The fire pit and picnic table were great. The view of the stars was amazing. It was so nice to camp all by ourselves, which is something you rarely get at a state park campground. Good cell service, too. Will definitely return.

We had an overall great experience. My family and I very much enjoyed our time there. We had a blast canoeing in the pond, chopping wood, tending to the fire, and walking around the farm. Kevin, the host was a great guy. They run a good camp ground. I would recommend.

Had a great spot. Felt secluded even though there was a lot going on at the barn! Enjoyed that as well. Would return for sure and recommend highly. We did lose power around 7:30 am on Sunday though, but didn't bother us as we were packing up to go. Thanks again!
