Get away from it all and relax in nature. *NEW* We've just put in a heating and AC unit in the tent for a more comfortable stay. We have rolling pasture, old wood forest, streams and two ponds on our property. Beautiful tranquil views everywhere. We have a small pond with all kinds of frogs, spring peepers. Loved spending a glamping weekend at Sue’s! It’s nestled in the middle of many hiking trails, the Woodstock tower, and wineries. The yurt itself is incredibly comfortable, and the A/C unit is a dream. Sue met us at arrival and was super friendly and walked us through all the supplies they had available to make the camping weekend perfect.

The cabin was exactly as described. Host had great communication and helpful tips The place was clean, had some helpful items available and the screened in porch was perfect to enjoy the water views without getting bit by bugs (just typical summer conditions). The cabin is in close proximity to other structures but it was SUPER quiet and peaceful. Easy to drop a kayak in, shuttles are also nearby It should be mentioned that the driveway is long and full of potholes. It’s a bumpy, slow ride. Some low laying vehicles could struggle depending on conditions Overall we’d definitely come back

This was a wonderful stay for us. We got in pretty late and the hosts were super kind and receptive and helped us have a very easy check-in. The place itself is so cute and comfy, it has little LED lights that change color, and is fully stocked with cooking equipment which we used to make some breakfast :). The bathhouse was great and very modern, and we were very comfortable!

The trickle of the freshwater creek, the flitter of the redwing blackbird and the cardinal pair over the small pond, the rhythmic croaks of the bullfrogs, the chatter of the chickens on the hillside, and the utter quiet of just before dawn proved to be a welcome backdrop for our family’s 4th of July weekend. Our hosts’ genuine graciousness came naturally to them. This spot really exceeded expectations! Thought it’d be musty and dark with lumpy beds and a smelly outhouse, which would have been fine. The hazard is bright and airy with a very pleasant fresh smell (not a covering gross perfume). The beds were comfy and the outhouse was for what it is great. Lots of flat soft ground for tents or games. River access was easy. We did 17 miles from here to front royal boat ramp in six hours first day. River was high. Gorgeous trip but no rapids to speak of. Did 10 miles second day from seekford. Great class two at mile one, lots of class 1s and ripples after. Shuttle is a bit of a bear for that at 45 minutes each way.

Weekend Trip to Fairy Glen Farm

We had an amazing time visiting John and Suzanne's slice of paradise on Fairy Glen Farm! After turning at the sign for the property it was a straight shot and easy to locate. The campsite itself is wonderful and looks exactly as advertised, with all possible amenities for cooking and cleaning up, and firewood as far as the eye can see. Sue came down to greet us shortly after arrival and is super kind and welcoming so you better be nice to her! We were also lucky to be the guinea pigs for the new portable air conditioning unit inside the tent and it kept us very cool and comfortable throughout the night. Catch up on your reading, cook some tasty food, share great conversation around the firepit, or take a much needed nap in the hammock! Highly recommend this spot for a peaceful getaway, especially if you have a dog who will both enjoy and behave themselves off-leash.

Loved the cabin! It has everything you need to enjoy a night outdoors! The cabin had a nice bed with bedding, towels, a mini fridge, and some other small appliances. Bathhouse with a shower is close to the cabin. If you're looking for food in the area I recommend Beards and Broads, it's about 10 minutes away!

A great little remote cabin tucked in the tall forest. The birds, breeze, and tasty spring water. The bed was comfy and a better equipped kitchen than we expected.
