There is an outdoor composting toilet that you can use. It is in an enclosure for privacy. Waste needs to be disposed of accordingly. Outdoor shower with hot water via propane. Small half bath inside the Tiny House to wash, etc Parking area.is large and you can drive up to the house. Power DC USB plugs provide power to charge a cellphone. DC-powered chest fridge. There is no 120-volt power from the street. if you have a generator, bring it. Bring bug spray for ticks, flashlight, etc.

My girlfriend and I had a great time enjoying the views and the atmosphere of Sandy’s farm. Great sunsets! The main house was clean and super convenient to use. Sauna is a must as well. Sandy’s freezer was also stocked with delicious Ben and Jerry’s ice cream :)

I had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was adorably decorated with a cozy rustic aesthetic and felt very welcoming. The bed was super comfortable, and although there was a space heater provided, I didn’t end up needing it. The host was extremely communicative and helpful, even making sure I had a warm shower in the morning, which I really appreciated. The views of the river were beautiful—especially in the morning with the fog rolling across the water. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the animals on the property—it made the experience feel even more special. I also loved that I was able to bring my dog along with me.

Jess was an amazing host and this was by far the most comfy cozy and CLEAN place on our fall New England trip!! The pictures honestly didn’t do it justice. The cabin had a great view of the river and I enjoyed my stay. My dog was allowed which I always appreciate. Jessica brought a heater for me which was perfect for the chilly nights. I arrived at night and did not see the sink/hose for water. You do have to turn the water on and off from the house. Jessica was very responsive and I was able to meet and chat with her. There are chickens, ducks, and 2 goats but I did not hear any of them at all from the cabin.

The Penfield Tiny House was amazing! Just exactly the get-a-way I needed. In town to see my UVM Senior - I wanted a quiet, unique place to stay. It was perfect. So many thoughtful perks. The house was beautifully furnished, comfortable & very clean. The location was easy to find and private. Beds were super comfy. A fire out under the star-filled sky on a chilly fall evening was the highlight for me. Highly recommend. Jaime was a gracious host and we will be planning a return trip soon! ❤️

Jessica is fantastic and you couldn’t ask for a more well kept place to spend the night. We sprung for the s’mores and firewood packages and I’d highly recommend. Lots of great, dry wood, and you couldn’t pick up the s’mores supplies cheaper yourself— made it all that much easier to have an enjoyable evening.

Jessica is a great host and the cabin was really clean and cute! The set up is really cool and the view is amazing but we can’t have access because the road is private as mentioned by Jessica. The rustic toilet was really tidy! Real dish would be highly appreciated like wine glasses, real plates, glasses instead of paper cup, etc. Also, an additional time to shower after the day (example from 4:00 to 5:00) would be nice after a long hike. Overall the place is great for 1 or 2 nights! Thanks!

Weekend Trip to Penfield Tiny House

This is a beautiful spot and a handsome, well-appointed tiny house. We are a family of four--two kids and two adults--and we have stayed at several tiny houses (the kids really enjoy them), and we were impressed with Jamie's place. The road does run right by the house, so that you can hear cars going by, but it still feels private because of the trees and growth between the tiny house and the road. We had a lovely fire, and were grateful for the firewood provided. We had not spent time in Milton before and enjoyed it very much as well. Of course Burlington is not far, but there is also a drive-in movie theater pretty close by, handy tasty places for take-out, and a Hannafords.

We had a lovely time staying at the Getaway Nest! Jessica's location feels delightfully secluded while still being near several necessities for anything we needed or forgot. A great home base for either chilling overlooking the river or several day trips to nearby destinations. Jessica was very helpful answering questions and helping with requests while also giving us our space.
