This stay is definitely bare bones, but perfect for experienced campers and outdoor lovers who bring their own stuff. Beautiful location, quiet space, their animals are awesome and the stargazing is impeccable. The she shed is just that, an enclosure to rest your head. The temps dropped to the 30’s in early October so I wore all my heavy layers, 4 blankets and a heat pad. It was still cold. I had my own lighting and power packs. It’s a must. But, I’m so glad I chose it. Their goats and chickens brought me so much joy, a fellow camper made me feel safe enough to stay there as a solo female, I spent the night under the stars petting animals, watched a movie and slept well. When I left, the owner messaged me if I’d left a bag and I had. I met the owners when I picked it up and bought a homemade breakfast sandwich. Great space, best for those who prepare for outdoor life. I recommend it highly for those who prepare for the option they chose.

If you want to experience small town community come stay at Middle Brach Camping Cabins. Hobouta Sandwich serves up the best sandwhich I’ve ever eaten. It was a religious experience and Bill is an artist. Seriously, stop by and buy a sandwich!! Inside you’ll also find local goods available including basic goods, bakery and dinner options. Pizza and open mic night was a wonderful gathering with great pie. You’re staying at the gathering spot in the area so expect traffic and the opportunity to meet locals and fellow travelers. You are roughing it in the shed but if you look you’ll find a small town coming together because of Brandi’s hard work keeping the doors open at Middle Branch Collaborative.

The price, being able to book last minute the goats were the best thing. The location was lush and peaceful. The community store was a nice touch. It was a good trip besides me having to leave early because I felt under the weather.

The shed was great; clean and simple, just what we expected. Our only concern was the porta-potty which was close to overflowing and was essentially unusable.

The cabin was super cute and a great stay for the price. We were offered a cooler, and they gave us a container of fresh water and little homemade heaters upon arrival that were super cute and actually worked really well! The store is very well stocked, and the employees were really kind.
The first night of our stay, a large group of kids were playing outside our cabin and we didn’t mind the noise, but I had to use the bathroom and had to hold it because all the kids were using the port-a-potty that was labelled as for campers only. After they all went inside, I went out to use it and it was trashed, and they had used all the toilet paper.
The next morning, we were woken up to the sound of someone snapping wood outside our cabin. We waited for whoever it was to go inside so we could take our dogs out, but after about 30 minutes we decided to just go. It was one of the kids, and as soon as he saw us he giggled and ran inside.
About halfway into the stay, the port-a-potty sign that said “for campers only” had been spray-painted over and I’m guessing was opened for public use?
It made for an odd and somewhat uncomfortable experience, for us and our dogs personally. But, if you don’t mind sharing your space with the public and rowdy kids, the cabins are great!

This cabin was just what I needed for the night. Kept the air out, nice little cots to rest your head on. Delicious coffee next door in the morning to warm up! A wonderful experience.

The cabin is great, good with 2 cots and accommodate 2 persons. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. We had a good rest even though the vehicle passed by in the highway, the noise did not bother us. Brandiann is a great hostess and she walked through with us for all situations. We will come back for sure.

I had a great stay here in this little cabin. The hosts were very accommodating. The solar lights they had up worked extremely well, they provided a cooler for my use, a sleeping bag if I needed an extra, a thing of water, fire starters, and wood for a fire in the shared fire ring outside. There was also access to the river, but it was cool and rainy so I didn't end up going in there. I will definitely try to book again if I'm back in the area in the future!
I do want to note for any other campers - you are fairly close to a road and right beside a store that opens early, so there is some consistent noise. This was not an issue for me, but if you are sensitive to outside noise that is something to think about.
