You will be camping at our cloud 9 campsite which private and peaceful! The site is located behind many large pine trees in the upper part of the field across from our house which is hidden and cannot be viewed from the campsite. You can connect with wifi at the wifi sign near the beginning of the campsite road. We have a few hiking trails on Blood brook road one of which you can walk to from our home and it’s only a very short distance away. We are located 3 miles from Lake Fairlee Public beach also known as Treasure Island so bring your swimsuit! We are also within 5 minutes of the Lake Fairlee boat launch so feel free to bring your canoe or kayak and enjoy a paddle around our beautiful lake. We enjoy hosting both families and large groups looking for a place to unwind.

This is a 200 year old farm filled with life. There are well groomed areas and other more wild areas. We are on almost 13 acres of land that attracts all forms of natural wildlife. In addition, we have alpacas, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, a cat and chickens. There is a beaver pond on the lower property.
Each site includes a place to sit and eat (ie. picnic table), fire pit and just breathtaking views. Campers can drive into and park at their site. Each site is separate and private from other sites.

Each site will be given a bundle of fire wood on the house, additional wood is for sale. You are welcome to participate in farm work. Coffee (from a local NH roaster), tea, hot chocolate and potable water (from the faucet) will be available daily. We are a farm family with young children so large and rowdy or drinking parties are very heavily discouraged.

We are excited to offer this amazing tipi camping experience on our working horse property. The tipi design is the basic Sioux design, and the makers of our tipi were chosen to provide ALL the tipis for the movie "Dances with Wolves," because of their respect for authenticity and excellent craftsmanship.
The tipi is 18' W x 15' H. Inside is roughly 16' diameter and 13'2" high. It has a 6' entrance with zipper door and mosquito mesh. There is mosquito netting around the top smoke flaps and a critter guard mesh that covers the bottom circumference edge where the tipi and floor meet. To keep things warm on those chilly nights or take out the crisp morning air, there is a small wood pellet stove inside. There is a queen size futon and plenty of space to sleep on the floor with your own sleeping bags or cots. The maximum occupancy is 6 people. The campsite setup is a mixture of Indian and Cowboy western culture. It has a dining area close to the tipi with a picnic table. You can relax at the fire pit area beside the Kampfire Cauldron (hand made on site!) and enjoy cookouts, campfires, and great conversations with friends and family while listening to the calm waters of Giles brook a few feet away. Firewood is included in your stay. An outhouse is also located nearby, so you don't have too entirely "rough it". Potable water can be provided if you did not bring your own. We have enjoyed playing in and around the Thatcher Brook for 20 years. Now we're looking to share that with others. Located adjacent to the Waterbury Community Path and Ben and Jerry's, its front and center in the Waterbury/Stowe recreation mecca. Take your bike to Hunger Mountain or Perry Hill trail systems. Walk to Ben and Jerry's for a quick ice cream. Maybe take a very short drive to the Waterbury Center State Beach, or Cold Hollow Cider Mill, or many of the fantastic micro breweries surrounding us like the Alchemist or Prohibition PIg. The property allows primitive camping. Be aware, there are no facilities (like bathrooms). We ask that you leave no trace... take out what you take in. There are several commercial businesses nearby, including a major grocery store, for all your other needs.

Today, we steward 10 acres specially designed with horses in mind. Adjacent to a 40-acre cornfield on one side and Mt. Cobb on the other, with sweeping views our place overlooks the confluence of the Mad and Winooski Rivers. From here, you can mountain bike or hoof it to access miles of trails and bucolic scenery. 🌲🏊🐟The Swimming/Fishing/Tenting site ("site 1") is perched directly aside the Mad River and the Sweet Meadow Side site ("site 2") is just a 2-minute walk across the grassy meadow and down the secluded riverside path to our beloved Mad River beach. This is a semi-secluded beach, river's edge, and swimming holes. Swim, tube, fish and relax up or down the river and in the confluence of the Winooski and Mad Rivers..
👢👓 Get curious about the history of this place by checking out the old abandoned Massey Furgeson hay baler tucked in the woods, the Cobb family cemetery, and more gems from many years gone by. Leave from either site on foot to access a sweet trail that travels along the river, over a private bridge, down a beautiful dirt road and into the forest.

We are excited to offer this amazing tipi camping experience on our working horse property. The tipi design is the basic Sioux design, and the makers of our tipi were chosen to provide ALL the tipis for the movie "Dances with Wolves," because of their respect for authenticity and excellent craftsmanship.
The tipi is 18' W x 15' H. Inside is roughly 16' diameter and 13'2" high. It has a 6' entrance with zipper door and mosquito mesh. There is mosquito netting around the top smoke flaps and a critter guard mesh that covers the bottom circumference edge where the tipi and floor meet. To keep things warm on those chilly nights or take out the crisp morning air, there is a small wood pellet stove inside. There is a queen size futon and plenty of space to sleep on the floor with your own sleeping bags or cots. The maximum occupancy is 6 people. The campsite setup is a mixture of Indian and Cowboy western culture. It has a dining area close to the tipi with a picnic table. You can relax at the fire pit area beside the Kampfire Cauldron (hand made on site!) and enjoy cookouts, campfires, and great conversations with friends and family while listening to the calm waters of Giles brook a few feet away. Firewood is included in your stay. An outhouse is also located nearby, so you don't have too entirely "rough it". Potable water can be provided if you did not bring your own. The Lodge and cabins we have at Sand Pond are situated about one hundred yards from beautiful sand pond (actually a lake). Sand Pond is a spring fed lake near the base of Silver Mountain which is a beautiful and close by hike to 360 views of the surrounding region/mountains. You will have easy and direct access to the sandy beach and swimming. The water is crystal clear and the water around the beach is very shallow which is great for children. The beach has a fire pit available as does the lodge. We have kayaks, a canoe and paddleboards available on the beach for guests to use.

We have enjoyed playing in and around the Thatcher Brook for 20 years. Now we're looking to share that with others. Located adjacent to the Waterbury Community Path and Ben and Jerry's, its front and center in the Waterbury/Stowe recreation mecca. Take your bike to Hunger Mountain or Perry Hill trail systems. Walk to Ben and Jerry's for a quick ice cream. Maybe take a very short drive to the Waterbury Center State Beach, or Cold Hollow Cider Mill, or many of the fantastic micro breweries surrounding us like the Alchemist or Prohibition PIg. The property allows primitive camping. Be aware, there are no facilities (like bathrooms). We ask that you leave no trace... take out what you take in. There are several commercial businesses nearby, including a major grocery store, for all your other needs.
Note: There is traffic noise. See the reviews/comments for other campers thoughts on this. The site that was closest to the road in previous years has been moved further away.
Wildlife is abundant here, including bears, so practice good camping technique by not leaving food, or other smelly items, in tents. The area has excellent cell phone coverage with 4G.

Weekend Trip to La Lu Farm camp site
La Lu Farm is a beautiful property! The Goat Yurt is comfortable and the wood-burning stove makes it very cozy. The yurt is a good base camp for exploring the cute nearby towns and hiking in the Green Mountains. On a cold night, be sure to bring a warm sleeping bag and extra firewood (also, bring toilet paper for the outhouse). My spouse and I had lovely stay and would recommend!

Weekend Trip to BASE CAMP NH
Base camp was a beautiful spot for my son and I to hang out an relax for the night it’s a generous and impeccably maintained property nestled in an incredible grove of trees; and easy to find as it’s tucked just off a quiet road. I was worried about being cold in mid-October but we couldn’t have been more comfortable with the space heater and cozy bedding.
Joseph’s communication and hospitality were top notch too! We highly recommend this property.

Had an amazing getaway from Boston at Peter’s property. The campsites were private and quiet and all amenities were as described. Each site had a fire ring, picnic table, and a charcoal grill. A clean stream runs along each site. There was enough water in the stream to float on a tube even during a recent drought. My partner and two dogs had a great time and can’t wait to be back. Highly recommended

The property is absolutely gorgeous with amazing views of the mountains from anywhere you are. We stayed at River run tent site and LOVED it. The tenting, bathhouse and air bb sites are all so well maintained and cute. We loved that it was so spaced out between sites, making it feel private and more immersed in the beautiful NH mountains. Public beach available to guests that’s right on the river. The little reception cabin had anything you might need and availability to buy wood bundles at anytime. We will definitely be back!

My partner and I booked a camping trip at La Lu's Farm and we loved it. We were there in early October and the foliage around the property was beautiful. 7 nights at La Lu Farm camp site
My partner and I spent a week at LaLu Farms for a getaway and to experience Vermont during the beginning of Fall. Constancia was a fantastic contact leading up to our trip, texting me various places we should try for local foods and trails.
When we arrived, her husband, Kevin, greeted us and walked us down to the yurt(about a 3 minute walk from where we parked). We were provided a good amount of firewood for the week, and we're told to take any wood we found in the surrounding woods if we needed more. The yurt was nice and cozy, with a cast iron heater to keep us warm on the cooler nights. The view of Green Mountain National Forest from the porch was worth the trip in of itself!! Kevin and Constancia would check in if they were out when we returned, but let us be and enjoy the trip.
The goats (8 of them) were such sweethearts. Very shy at first, but by the last day they were walking up to us and trying to be part of the family. The whole yurt and area we started felt like it was our own little goat farm. There was a compost outhouse near the yurt, which was very well kept and much better than we imagined! There is a shower and running toilet in the barn, which we used a few times. It does have a little smell of a barn, but nothing too overpowering and was very nice when coming back from a long hike.
The village of Waitsfield was a hidden gem. About 10 minutes from the farm, it has everything you need.

We had an incredible stay at Tenting, Fishing, Swimming Utopia at Vermont Ranch & Riverside Retreat! Lucinda was a fantastic host who greeted us warmly at the entrance and took the time to show us around the property. Our campsite in the woods was spectacular, complete with a fire pit, grill, and even an outdoor shower—such a great touch!
The highlight of our trip was the breathtaking views of the river at sunset; it was simply amazing. My daughter was especially thrilled to see the horses grazing in the field right where we were camping, adding to the charm of the location.
On our first night, we caught some night crawlers and took them fishing. Although we didn’t get any bites, it was a wonderful experience to see my wife and daughter enjoying themselves by the water. We wished we could have stayed a few more nights to soak it all in!
Overall, I highly recommend this campsite for anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful getaway in nature. We can’t wait to return!
