Art classes and materials are available, for pottery [ beginner to advanced.] as well as sketching, fabric dyeing, plen air, or making mandalas. I do have leather tools, sewing machines, and stained glass. Bring your project or try a new one.
Lots of space in the common barn area for group lesson, or set up a spot and enjoy all by yourself!
Cabot has lots to offer for day trips, be it water sports, rail trail on bikes or walking, music, and cultural events, or purchasing fresh milk, beef, eggs, apples,
cheese, or homemade breads, all from Cabot. Contra Dance, music from Cabot Arts, or at the Den our local pub, are 2 miles away. The Bread and Puppet, Highland Center for the Arts, Barre Oprah house, art galleries, etc within an hour
drive in any direction.
A great place for children, I have swings and trees to climb, games, archaeological digs, scavenger hunts finding 10 different antique farm implements, and learning how they were used, to learning about mini microbe's and how to be friends with pollinators.
Massage including scar release, and MPS, Cranial Release, energy work with tuning forks and singing bowls are available. Singing bowl concert in the gardens can also happen! Expect the unexpected! See you soon!

Rustic, off-grid, tiny cabin on small farm. This 12x16 tiny cabin, sleeps 4-5. Has queen, full, and twin size mattresses. Propane heater(Mr Heater 18,000btu) to stay warm on chilly winter days/nights. Linens are provided. Solar generator provided. Compost toilet(bucket/sawdust) in cabin. Fire pit, wood fired hot tub(open year round), outdoor shower(spring-fall). Weekend Trip to Rooted Acres Farm
We had such a lovely stay here! The host was incredibly responsive to all our questions, and the cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It came with a portable heater inside that kept us warm at night (just remember to turn on the gas outside first!). Without proper winter clothing, it might be a bit chilly to stay here during the colder months, but we went toward the end of October and it was still perfect!
And the hot tub!! Such a clever and wonderful addition! Just a heads up: you’ll need to build a strong fire to get it hot within about 3 hours, and you’ll likely want to make two fires - one for the tub and another to sit back and enjoy. Be sure to bring lanterns, as it gets dark pretty quickly once the sun sets.
Even though we had cloudy skies, we could tell that on a clear night the stargazing would be incredible. The cabin is well-equipped with dishes and running water for light cooking, brushing teeth, etc. There’s also a small convenience store about 8 minutes away on the main road.
Overall, we would highly recommend this place. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning!

A friendly environment that's perfect for unplugging. The lighthouse is a small room with a bed. There are no amenities but the views and the solitude are amazing. There a super firmly cat, named Lynx. Bring treats and love for him.

2 nights at Streeter Mountain Farm
I loved staying in the treehouse! Very cute and spacious. The staff was really nice and accommodating. We enjoyed the communal area, used their grill (chimney starter provided, yay!) There was also a really friendly tabby kitty that kept hanging around us which made me super happy.
Just some things to note for other people to be prepared, since the treehouse is not insulated it can get noisy. It was windy our first night, with things falling on the metal roof and metal staircase is creaky so bring earplugs. It's a little drafty. We didn't have any issue with mosquitoes though. The roof overhangs a lot in front of the doorway, so tall people beware! They do provide carts to bring your stuff but it is all downhill to the treehouse (to varying degrees) and sometimes rocky so it's still not the easiest task, not to mention going back up so be mindful of how much you're packing! If I were to do it over I'd pack less and carry the weight in my backpack. Still, I would not hesitate to go back! Hopefully for longer next time. I imagine it would be pretty in the fall with the leaves changing all around 😊
