Crazy Cow Farm Adventures is located in a small quiet town called Samaria, Idaho. Our family has run this farm since, Samaria was first settled in the late 1800s. It is a working farm, and so you will see us feeding the baby calves, and lambs, irrigating the fields, harvesting and hauling hay as we go about our day. We work hard on the farm but we also know how to play hard. Crazy Cow Farm Adventures has a fun hay chopper wagon ball game, peddle cart track (lots of fun for all ages), and farmyard laser tag. All of these fun activities can be purchased along with your night stay. Contact us for reservations and prices. The Crazy Cow Farm Adventures is the perfect place to unwind and become renewed.
The Blue Goose is the old saloon that has been restored and turned into a little store, right here in Samaria just a few blocks from Crazy Cow Farm Adventures.
Samaria is located near several reservoirs, where those that love to fish, can go enjoy the water. Yellowstone is just a few hours away, while Downata and Lava Hot Springs are both just a few minutes away.
Malad City, Idaho is just a short ten minute drive and you can find the grocery store, pharmacy, hospital, and all the other comforts from home there.

The Retreat Juniper Tent/Van sites sit at the base of Green's Mountain nestled among the Junipers and Pinion pines. You will stay just outside the entrance to the City of Rocks National Reserve off the road that connects it to Castle Rocks State Park.
Enjoy all the fun of camping under the stars with an amazing secluded location at the entrance to the City of Rocks. Enjoy Rock Climbing, Bouldering, Hiking, Biking, Fishing, and Hot Springs, all within a 5 minute drive! The Park is full all summer but you will have your own quiet base camp 2 minutes away. Sit around the fire pit at night and gaze at the amazing star filled sky. Sites 8, 9, and 10 are all in the same private forested area and great for groups but still separated for plenty of privacy.
Each site has a level tent pad, parking area for a car or van (car/van camping ok), and access to potable water, bathrooms, and garbage. We have now added a 15amp plug to each site to provide power for things like phone and laptop charging, air pump, medical devices, or other basics at no charge. Camper vans, or other vehicles that want to plug in to the power will need to pay an additional $5/day electric fee. No EV charging. Parking is allowed right at camp but no vehicles bigger than a van (20ft), and no trailers. No mosquitos here! PET FRIENDLY!

2 nights at Crazy Cow Farm Adventures
The campers are adorable! Shayna has a knack for decorating and for making you feel welcome and "at home". The fridge was equipped with bottled water, oatmeal for breakfast, and the makings for s'mores over the fire. We had a blast riding the pedal cars to the "Blue Goose" penny-candy store. We stayed for 2 nights on our way from Salt Lake City to see Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and visit natural hot springs throughout Idaho. At the end of our trip, we needed to rest and pack up the camping gear for the flight home. On short notice, Shayna welcomed us, again, for 2 more nights. We were so happy to be there. When we drove in late at night we both exclaimed "we're home"! Everything was clean and cozy. The shower and toilets are a short distance from the campers. It was quiet, even when the goats got out, and so beautiful. We want our family and friends to experience Crazy Cow, and we would love to go back and spend a week to just rest and enjoy the scenery.

Very convenient spot with some amenities and easy food next door. A couple little kitties hung out with us for most of the night. It was nice to have a real bathroom but they desperately need to be cleaned. Water is available but heavy mineral content, I could t drink it.

My son and I have camped in many places but this is now his favorite! Our hosts were exceptional, so kind and fun to talk to. I just adored Shayna’s camp and the love and effort she has put into it is so apparent. Best campsite for kids AND adults! There is so much to do. I fell in love with the animals and miss them already! We will definitely return. Already telling friends and family about this gem of a place! If you want animal fun, beautiful sunsets, stargazing, pedal carting, giant sandbox play, games, comfy campers with a/c or heating, and fascinating history all from the best hosts, this is your spot!

WOW!!
What a phenomenal stay my boys and I had! Shayna reached out to me before our trip to ensure we had the most comfortable trailer for our needs. She personally welcomed us to her charming farm. The place was beyond adorable, with an atmosphere filled with peace and tranquility. We got to interact with so many animals, including chickens, sheep, horses, calves, buffalo, and pigs. The sheep were sheared to perfection and looked like show sheep! Her friendly dogs visited us often, which we loved. And the puppies!!!! My boys were in heaven.
Shayna had so many personal touches to her farm, making it fun and inviting for everyone who stays there. We rented her specialty bikes and had a blast riding around the property. I truly felt like Shayna gave us a gift by opening her world to us. We all need a slice of Shayna's life every now and then, just to slow down and enjoy nature. Everything about the place was perfect and serene.

The Crazy Cow Farm Adventures is an amazing place to stay, one of the few RV camps that is an attraction of its own. For people (like me) coming from an urban environment, the place feels like it comes from a movie. Here, kids can admire (and even pet) dozens of types of animals, ranging from pigs to goats (there was even a baby buffalo)! At 20.30 daily, the animal feeding show starts, and the host, Shayna, will introduce the participants through each of the animals, explaining their name, their story and what they eat. Then participants can offer to feed each animal and pet them. Since the animals have been raised since they were young with a lot of human interaction, they are absolutely docile, and we always felt safe.
Finally, the host, Shayna, is extremely welcoming and caring. So it is guaranteed you'll have a great time!
Finally, for shopping for fresh fruits, I recommend the nearby Edith's Collective Florist. Very tasty stuff for reasonable prices.

Great alternative to staying in the City of Rocks park itself. Close enough to commute into the park for activities while being kind to the pocket book. Also closer to the local swimming hole and pizza place.
The hosts are thoughtful with their amenities including a hot shower, a clean outhouse, and garbage services (something the park quit offering).

The kids loved seeing all the animals at the farm especially the very friendly dogs and puppies, horse, pigs, goats, sheep, cows, bunnies and chickens. My son was excited to complete the star farmer program and get his badge and sticker. The playground and swings were also a hit.
