3 nights at Deer Trail Cabin sleeps 6
This place is awesome. The interior is like a luxury cabin with all the amenities and comforts you have at home. Excellent air conditioning, amazing waterfall shower, WiFi, and so many other great features to the cabin make it the best cabin we have ever stayed at.
The host Tanya was friendly and had very fast responses to any questions. The location is in an RV park that has charcoal grills, players for the little ones, and great open areas to run with the kids or dogs. It was extremely quiet in regards to neighbors. There are some animal noises from geese and a few dogs but we felt that added to the country feel.
A mile or so down the road is one of the best lakes in Texas and since it’s a state park it’s extremely safe and a pristine environment.
A few minutes down the road in the opposite direction is a Dollar General for all the items you forgot or want some extra snack or drink.
We will absolutely be coming back in the near future.

Weekend Trip to Colorado RiverBend Retreat #CRBR
Terry's Spot is the perfect campground. Me and my company couldn't have enjoyed our time more. Everything was nice and clean. Bridget is the perfect hostess. Gave us a little tour of the land and showing us the hot tub shack. I highly recommend booking with Bridget for your next camping trip. We will be returning for another visit.

My friends and I had such a great time camping here! The view of the river was beautiful, we could birdwatch from our campsite (barred owl, red shouldered hawk, king fisher, great egret, red-bellied woodpecker), the bathroom, dish washing, and shower facilities were extremely well stocked and clean, we were given free recently felled wood to burn, we loved getting cozy by the large fire pit - it had foot rests and a surface for resting our stuff!
Bridget was the most attentive and sweet host; she checked on us before we arrived, she immediately answered my questions about a fire ban, she visited after we got settled, she brought us a can opener when we forgot one, she checked on us when she was worried our neighbors might be too noisy (they weren’t).
The only thing we didn’t love was how many ants were on the ground, but that 1. Comes with the territory of living in Texas and 2. Is a hard thing for any landowner to fix. Just make sure you wear socks and bug spray to prevent any bites!
My friends and I agree that we found a new spot to add to our regular camping rotation, and we can’t wait to come back :-)

Weekend Trip to The Reserve at GreenLeaf
We had such a wonderful time. Our hosts greeted us for a short intro to the place which was nice. I got some pointers on how to use a French Coffee press (you'll see) and we got the lay of the land. There are walking trails, a community fire pit (there are only 4 yurts), a pavilion with Corn Hole type games and a hot tub (didn't try it out). It was extremely peaceful and calm. A great place to forget about things for a couple of days. Also, Bastrop has a nice downtown area. We ate at Neighbors (?) downtown and enjoyed sitting on the patio by the river.

We fully enjoyed staying at Bridgette’s place. We were a small group at site 3 with 2 tents, a truck tent and small travel trailer. We had plenty of space. There was another group at site 2. We could hardly hear each other (but did play some songs together). It was nice to have the bathroom close. It even had hot water. We look forward to staying there again.

Weekend Trip to Colorado RiverBend Retreat #CRBR
We had the most fantastic weekend staying on Bridget’s land. The super cute camper was the perfect size for me and my 2 daughters. There were kayaks available and a boat that we were able to use on the river. The scenery was amazing and so relaxing- literally right on the river. The bathroom was the best I have ever used on a camping trip. There is a flush toilet and 2 showers with plenty of hot water! Bridget was so kind and communicative about the property and with questions I had. I will definitely be back. It is so worth it- you won’t regret staying here!!

Terry’s Spot was underrated. Comfy queen size bed with working mini fridge/freezer, AC, toaster, coffee maker, TV with Netflix and other apps, wifi (although occasional off), cleaning products, with a working nice shower/toilet with hot water, plus you can fish, kayak/canoe, make fire, and animals all over the place for some friendly neighbors. All you can ask for glamping/camping and more!

The campground was very easy to find, and very natural. We really loved being there. The bathhouse was clean and spacious. One of my favorite parts was the large raised fire pit, with cook grate that could be over the fire or swung out of the way when not cooking.

2 nights at Colorado RiverBend Retreat #CRBR
We stayed in a mini trailer near the lake and had a great time overall. The lake view was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a weekend getaway. We loved that we could fish, though we wish the fishing had been a bit better. One downside was that the stove didn’t come with gas—we had to make a last-minute trip to Walmart 20 minutes away at 8PM. Despite that, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back!

First of all, thank you Bridget for your kindness & generosity. I would def recommend Riverbank site #2. Mother Nature was acting up the weekend of our trip. Due to unpredictable storms, the normal sandbar was underwater, and it was extra…“naturey”. When circumstances like this occur, it’s out of anyone’s control. You’ve just gotta lean in & make the best of it! Other than that, it was absolutely lovely! My husband and I, our 7yr old, my two stepdaughters, and our senior pup, all enjoyed ourselves.
When we initially arrived, the weather was really nice. We put our tubes in the water & got our float on. The zephyrs dancing through the trees, the flow of the river, the picturesque landscape...Majestic! We brought our own canoe and had fun fishing and exploring. A couple of times we paddled hard upstream then let our paddling and the current propel us back downstream. Total shred points!!! lol The outdoor showers/bathroom were awesome! Thank you for providing such a thoughtful amenity.
Just a note: The weather didn’t help this situation, but there were tons of ants! My two teenage stepdaughters were tripping about all the bugs, ants, and spiders! I’ll say this, if you’re not easy-going, & if you’re fearful of bugs, ants, etc, this may not be the campsite for you. I grew up camping in SFL. Lots of mud & critters. Organic & beautiful in its own way. I love escaping the city and unplugging. Hubby & I can’t wait to come back alone & try the river-rat shack ;) Thanks again <3

Weekend Trip to RV Parking
Loved the privacy of the RV area and the woods were beautiful. Older trailer with a lot of love put into it, the window unit was a trouper and it was pretty comfortable once it got going. The area surrounding was very comfortable to walk around, the paths were very state-park-esque, and it was a really nice surprise to find a seating area in the woods. It was a bit of a bummer that it took all night for the fridge to get cold enough to cool our drinks, and that the lake was right in front of the house. Overall, it was a great stay and would love to stay again!

Great spot! We had it all to ourselves the whole weekend. It rained so the river was a bit high so we couldn’t really kayak without paddling against the current (which we did anyways!! Lol) great trip and time with family. Host was awesome and very accommodating. Clean facilities. Everything you need for a good reconnect with nature.
