Come stay on our 100 acre Richard Creek Valley getaway, gently tucked away on the north slope. There are four campsites on the property and they are all at least 150 yards away from each other. Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away. It has various trees on property with cedar, live oak, post oak, etc. Campsites are in front of a wide waterfall which is about 5 feet in height. You can fall asleep with the sound of the waterfalls! We have three ground tent sites and two 14 by 14 deck sites if you want to be up off the ground. Each site has a fire ring and electricity. There are well-marked trails across the creek which go to a meadow and a big treehouse I built several years ago. Glen Rose has several restaurants known for barbecue and Mexican food. Granbury is 25 minutes away with lots of shopping and restaurants around their historic town square. Glen Rose also has a town square.

New laundry facility down the road, dump station @ Thorp Springs RV park (20 dollars), Davids Grocery store and Dollar General, all only .03 miles away. This is not really a vacation destination but more a safe place to stay coming to town to explore all Granbury has to offer or a place to catch your breathe while traveling on the road. Friends have enjoyed escaping here for years. I decided to share the zen. It's a bit rough around the edges but if the new venture succeeds it will only get better each time you visit. We loved tent camping on Amy's land! Everyone very kind and the area is beautiful and relaxing we had a wonderful time fishing and just being outdoors in nature. It reminded me of childhood spent on my grandparents farm. With all the goats, chickens and ducks etc.

Amy's place is always a welcome reprieve from the world. Situated on a nice piece of property along the river, it is a very chill vibe. If you are tent camping, I recommend the Far Far Away site. This is my second time here, and it's apparent that continued improvements have been made. She did have to shut down the honor system store because.... well, people suck. And I hate that for Amy, because she is such a sweet lady. But I understand the decision. If you come here, please be kind, respectful, and pick up any trash you see from previous campers.

1 night at High Hope Ranch

I was welcomed by friendly goats and lil pig. Since, it was a thanksgiving day - I only saw three people in the area. Our tent was superb! Perfect spot for our camping but unfortunately we have to leave after 3 hours of stay coz my son has an anxiety attack. He just got tired from our previous camp (this is actually our second spot). I believe we need to come back here again soon and explore the area. The communication w the host was great. All the instructions were given clearly and the suggested trail to explore. We really need to come back here again soon.

I enjoyed it so much I came back for a second go within a month. My family and friends had a great time. And the location is super convenient from where we all live in North Texas that we definitely want to make this a regular spot. The family that lives there are super kind and friendly. And the best part was that Lady, their dog, would come check and see if we were enjoying our campout. 5 out of 5.

Sherwood was a very accommodating and communicative host. The grounds were very clean and just as described. The water park was inactive due to the off season, and staying here made us want to come back when the park is fully operational. Great location only about 16 min to the Stockyards. Would definitely stay again!

Never camped on someone property before but it was good time for sure. lots to see and to adventure around. To say the least me and my family got comfortable fast and if we go camping again at this spot we’ll bring a few more people next time to show off how awesome it was. Owner was nice and cool very clean camping areas and overall 8/10 would recommend anyone to go.

Richardson Creek was a great campsite. The river was beautiful and made the whole place feel peaceful. The grounds were clean, quiet, and perfect for relaxing. Overall, an awesome spot to camp — I’d definitely go back.
