There is no running water, no electricity and no WiFi at the campsite. There is a picnic table, some chairs, a fire ring with some firewood and a portable toilet. This site is suited to tent camping, car camping and small RV "dry camping". There is relative privacy, hopefully starry nights and campfire provisions. Guests share a pasture with livestock and wildlife.

The country roads in this area are paved and they are excellent for walking, bicycling and driving. There are “cattle guards” in the roadways. Cattle guards are steel pipe obstacles along a road intended to prevent livestock, such as sheep and cattle from passing out of a fenced area.

The Ranch is our place we like to go when we need to get away. It's raw and it's nice land to camp, explore and enjoy wildlife. We have a Wildlife Exemption on the property and enjoy managing native song birds. We keep a constant flow of bird seed located in feeders around the ranch, and we have seen all kinds of birds making this a great place for birders. The ranch has nice elevation changes with a wet weather creek that traverses the property. There are some trails to hike or mountain bike. The cabin is rustic without plumbing or electricity, but we enjoy it and it's fun to think it's everything we would need. This is off-grid living all the way, and we are constantly learning new and better ways to do things.
The cabin is located on the very first spot we pitched a tent after purchasing the land, and we continue to make improvements as we go. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

The Ranch is our place we like to go when we need to get away. It's raw and it's nice land to camp, explore and enjoy wildlife. We have a Wildlife Exemption on the property and enjoy managing native song birds. We keep a constant flow of bird seed located in feeders around the ranch, and we have seen all kinds of birds making this a great place for birders. The ranch has nice elevation changes with a wet weather creek that traverses the property. There are some trails to hike or mountain bike. The cabin is rustic without plumbing or electricity, but we enjoy it and it's fun to think it's everything we would need. This is off-grid living all the way, and we are constantly learning new and better ways to do things.
The cabin is located on the very first spot we pitched a tent after purchasing the land, and we continue to make improvements as we go. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We stayed in Cabin 13 and absolutely loved it! It had more amenities than we expected- a bathroom with towels, a kitchen with dishes, DVDs to choose from, etc. It was quiet and felt very safe and well tended to. We plan on going back again soon! My kids and I had a great time- my dog too!

I loved this cabin. The view of the river from the patio was amazing and the jacuzzi, you could look up at all of the stars. The kitchen is nice. They have a very nice toaster oven, bbq grill, but no stove top (just a heads up)! The cabin was very clean. The location is perfect. It is very close to Fredericksburg and Enchanted Rock! My dog even got to join in on the adventure.

This is a beautiful remote property with dark skies. We booked this cabin last minute to watch the Geminid meteor shower and it did not disappoint. Travis left detailed instructions on both getting to the property and what to expect once there. Be prepared and you will have a great time! We saw longhorns, and whitetail deer. Weekend Trip to Dos Rios - Hill Country Adventure
My wife and I love camping and have acquired ALL of the gear over the years to ensure all of our needs are met. We can set up our tent/site quickly and efficiently; however, this was our first time “glamping”, and what a nice change it was to have everything set up for you upon arrival (and sleeping on an actual queen size mattress wasn’t bad either! lol). All we had to do was bring ourselves and our food, they even provide a propane camp-stove! We stayed in ‘5A’ and the view from our front porch was nothing but woods, it felt like we were the only people there, but indoor plumbing and a hot shower were just around the corner. You couldn’t ask for a better location to camp, as you are only a 45 minute drive from Fredericksburg, but it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. It’s located where the Llano and James rivers converge, which allows for kayaking or a dip in the refreshing waters (we were there in late summer and the waters were still surprisingly cool!).
We arrived late in the day, as the sun was setting, but Tammy still came by that evening to make sure that we were settled in, and that all of our needs were met (she even surprised us with a box fan* for our tent!).
Texas Hill country is stunning and has a lot to offer, but you could not ask for a better location to get a taste of it all, than Dos Rios!
*FYI: We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the tents have electrical access, so we were able to run that fan and keep our portable speaker charged!

Weekend Trip to Hill Terrace
I visit Junction to see local friends and paddle the S Llano at least twice a year. My second visit to this property. Stayed in Cabin 1 this time since it was just me. Simple and comfy. It was very relaxing to watch the rain from the front porch. The larger cabin is even better if you have more people.
The river access is superb if you enjoy kayaking. Was there for the Up and Back Race this year and it was the perfect place to paddle up to first crossing to watch the first few racers from there and then back at the cabin later in the afternoon.
Lots of hummingbirds and butterflies too! Will be back.

I loved my stay at dos Rios, I stayed in the Jupe cliff hanger site. The views were magnificent and enjoyed looking down at the river and seeing the fish swimming around. Loved the hole area and definitely planning on coming back.

Weekend Trip to Dos Rios - Hill Country Adventure
You do not charge me a $55 cleaning fee when the sheets haven't been changed, but only deodorized with the strongest smelling deodorant I have ever encountered.
White towels Always! Ours were gray with brown streaks. I guess somebody used them after they did their business in our cabin. Luckily we brought our own and used those after we showered/ swam.
Had to listen to Tammy. Go on and on for 30 minutes about leaving a good review but you know what? No.
To her credit she did give us two tubes for free.
I'm not expecting Caesars Palace in this type of camping situation but it could have been a whole lot better.

Great space in a perfect location! Cozy, spotless, and had everything we needed. Being able to bring our fur baby was such a bonus. Everything was immaculate, and we felt right at home. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I loved this place and felt at home with the layout and amenities. Jeremy was a great host! He provided recommendations to local attractions and responded quickly to any questions that I had. I really enjoyed my time there and recommend this spot for your next trip!
