You will leave with red dirt on your vehicle but that's part of the appeal, the secluded getaway :) Once you start down the driveway you'll see the lake through the trees, making the rough 5-mile ride worth it.

Located about 25 minutes from Centerville, it makes for an easy weekend getaway from the Houston or Dallas areas. As you drive from interstate, to highway, to county road to dirt road and over a single lane wooden bridge, you feel yourself start to unwind and relax. This cabin is located on a private dirt road (too much rain can make things muddy). You'll be given gate access for entrance. As you drive down the dirt road, you'll find our light blue cabin on stilts. Because the cabin is raised, you have a great entertainment space sheltered from the weather. I loved these cabins in Cleveland, TX. I wanted to a place to stay to visit the Sam Houston National Forest. I am not an experienced camper so these cabins were perfect for my fiance', dogs, and I! The cabins were very clean and comfortable to stay in. George was a great host, with great communication and accommodating. My favorite features of the cabins were the fireplace (he even had wood ready and conveniently placed next to the pit) and the projector. Would love to visit again!

Weekend Trip to Circle C CampGrounds

My husband and I made reservations for two nights. It was my dog‘s first experience to go overnight with us. We enjoyed the Cabin so much we stayed a third night. We have been wanting to go to the Lone star Trail for years. My husband has wonderful memories of taking Boy Scouts on the trail many years ago. I had never gone before. The campsite is located between TH3 and TH4 so it was a perfect location. The Cozy cabin is designed with attention to detail and love by TERRY, Camp host and owner. The tent campsites are nicely arranged close to one of the two stocked ponds. There is a great community shelter with a shower stall and sink, picnic table and barbecue facilities. Terry is very nice and made sure we didn’t need anything. We couldn’t have asked for a greater 3 day stay and will be back. I hope you will also.

Weekend Trip to Circle C CampGrounds

Great location, very nice host. We had a blast. You can walk in the forest and make campfires. The fireplace was very convenient and Terry also let us feed the fish in the pond. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

This place was an absolute dream location not far from Houston. If you need a weekend away to disconnect from city life this is an absolute gem! So quiet and relaxing and the owners are very attentive to your every need! I would 100 percent recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet retreat to decompress and relax!

We loved the remote beauty of our well equipped cabin, the endless hiking trails, and exploration opportunities and also the proximity to Jacksonville when we needed supplies. Our hosts were incredible! Or cabin was comfy and had ensuring we needed. Loved the amazing fire pit and shower! We can’t wait to return!

It was a night little getaway not too far. The place we clean and had mostly everything you’d need. The only thing was it looked like you could roam around a little more but it’s the road you drive up on and a little back so exploring with the dogs was a little limited but I would highly recommend this place

Love the view waking up seeing the sunrise with a cup of coffee . My dogs enjoyed the beach and the park they loved how everyone was so nice saying hello 👋🤗
