Come stay in our sweet semi off grid cabin just between Austin and Marble Falls Tx. Near beautiful Lake Travis. There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection. Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. Swimming, tubing, kayaking, SUP'ing, floating, cliff climbing, evening camp fires, and so much more await you at 'Our Heritage and Legacy'. There is very intentionally no cable, no internet, no tv. The goal of time at our place of peace is to reconnect with nature, and remind ourselves what really matters. Learn more about this land: Our Heritage and Legacy is a beautiful shaded lawn under a canopy of old oaks that are a few hundred years old and pecan trees. Water toys are available for rent and use as desired/needed (the reservations for such need to be made in advance/or at time of check in, to have available for your use)  : 3 additional kayaks($40/day), 4 tubes($9/day), a SUP ($45/day), along with two other beanbag type chair floats($15/day)-. You may either rent through Hipcamp, in advance, or on site at check in.  There are electrical hookups for rv's/travel trailers (one 20 amp and one 50 amp)- however, all campers whether tent, RV's/Travel trailers will need to bring in your own water supply for your general use, please. (The property is on a rain water collection/purification system, and has very limited water for the overall property use-to have water trucked in to refill the tank is quite expensive. We stay at this property often, so I decided to try the campsite on the "other" side of the creek. It was a scenic and peaceful spot. The trails around the ranch are always a great morning hike. Lots of deer and turkeys around. Thanks again for hosting!

This was our second stay here, and we’re glad we came back. The first trip was about 50% rain, so we wanted to come back and fully enjoy Blasingame Camp. William and the Gray family are super friendly, the property is beautiful and very private, and there’s plenty to keep adults/kids/pup entertained without leaving. Being close to Blanco Square is a big bonus, and the bathroom upgrade since our last visit was much appreciated. Highly recommend — we’ll be back.

Weekend Trip to Twin Falls: Glamping Tents

Nice secluded place in the hills. However, keep in mind that there are two tents close to each other on one side and then another couple tents close to each other farther away. Great when you have a group using those tents together. Otherwise you’ll be pretty close to your neighbors. Keep that in mind. I like that there is a well-kept RV that was a communal space. Nice little amenities with places to sit and chill and have some food outside, games, etc. Grill in place was a nice feature. Unfortunately the propane buddy heater was out in our tent, but to be fair, we also did not ask for any additional propane :). Too bad for the burn ban. Would have been perfect for a nice fire in the cold night. The place was super nice and chill and places to explore. I like the nice little touch of adding the additional info on the property to explore and find out more about the area and critters in the area. Great touch! Had a great time. Thank you!

William’s land was perfect for a friendsgiving camping trip! Felt super safe and private. Really easy to get to - didn’t see anybody besides our group while we were there but were still close enough to town for anything we needed. Nice trails around the property to explore and we appreciated that you can have firewood at the site upon arrival. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect hybrid camping spot where you can rough it without plumbing while enjoying a cozy indoor with electricity. Complete with a perfect campfire setup and gas grill if you choose. My boy and I actually pitched a tent on the deck, which was perfect!
