South Texas off-grid camping at its most rugged. 

No running water, no paved roads, no electricity.... but you get total privacy! Get away from it all and pitch your tent, hang a hammock or boondock your small camper in total seclusion. Approximately 20 acres on a creek to explore with lots of curious wildlife including turkey, deer, and armadillos. Walking trails abound with 2 reservable campsites with firepits, and an unbeatable sunset view overlooking a quiet creek.  Contactless check in, unique gate code provided prior to arrival. Centrally located shared outhouse, just a 1-2 minute walk from any campsite.

Rose Hill

Rose Hill is a 30 acre privately owned in rural Atascosa County. We offer six spacious sites with water for you to park your RV two of which have full hook-ups. They have easy in, easy out access. There is a picnic table & fire pit (with grill) for your use. We have mowed walking trails available for our guests enjoyment & leashed pets are welcome to accompany you. We are approx 30 min drive to many of the historic San Antonio attractions & it’s approx 90 mins to Corpus Christi with their attractions & beaches.

Secluded Guadalupe River Spot

These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers. 

The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so.

Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds.

Campfires are permitted. 

There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. No dogs over 20 pounds on sites 1 and 2 but sites 3 and 4 are great areas to bring your high-energy dogs. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. I have very small livestock on the area on occasion.

I am almost always on the property and try to have my phone with me while campers are on site, just let me know what you need and I will do what I can to accommodate you.

Our riverfront RV park offers 7RV sites (4 concrete pads and 3 gravel pads) with plenty of privacy to enjoy all that Matagorda has to offer! RV site #1 is on the southernmost side of the park. Each spot offers waterfront views of the Colorado river, fishing on the park's private pier and use of community grounds. The RV site offers a concrete pad and gravel drive measuring approximately 80ft long and 20 feet wide; the back 20ft of the concrete pad is 10ft wide with 30 and 50 amp hookups. Our park is gated for added privacy and tucked away perfectly on the Colorado River for you to enjoy time with family and friends. Daily and weekly rates include all utilities and wifi. Monthly stays do not include electricity and will be billed for usage at the end of the stay. The park offers a private drive, gated access, newly constructed pier and community grounds. Our park offers access to the Colorado River and only minutes from the Harbor and Beach. Come and enjoy all that Matagorda has to offer!

40 acres – “Big enough to explore, but not too big to get lost!” 
Hike alongside the meandering Navidad. The 2/3 mile-long developed walking trail offers pristine views and a good opportunity to scout your campsite. Each area features a distinct slice of Texan wilderness, whether you prefer wooded terrain or a lookout over the river. One site features a handmade brick firepit and a perfect spot for stargazing.
During the day, you can follow the river to some waterholes and try your luck at catching catfish and perch. Celebrate your success with a picnic under a sprawling oak, keeping an eye out for deer, rabbits, and other playful animals.
If exploring is more your style, head into the woods and hunt for Bandit’s Hideaway, a hollow old sycamore with secrets to tell. Depending on the season, you might stumble on wild dewberries or an ancient grove of pecans. 
At night, grill your family dinner over the firepit (or sneak ‘em back to town for some Tex-Mex!) and then tell ghost stories at the south fence overlooking Enon Cemetary. After a long day, settle in together with the stars and the sounds of nature.
They say life’s what you make it, and at the 40, you’ve got everything you need for a little piece of heaven!
While the property is largely undeveloped as of now, we plan to add pubic bathrooms, a stocked pond with a swimming area, and much more!
Pets allowed. Please be sure to pick up after them.
