Hazel Park is primarily a 30 acre stand of pine. It has several trails and Crystal Creek Runs through it. In addition there is a cleared 15 acre area once used for farming and grazing. It includes our homestead. The camping area is 3 acres of an abandoned homestead which includes a water well, electricity and septic system. One septic hookup is available No toilet is available there yet. There is a septic dump. Adjacent to this area is a private pond for fishing. Off road vehicles are welcome. Lake Conroe is located about 6 miles west. The Sam Houston National Forest entrance is about 18 miles north. Beyond the national forest is Huntsville and Sam Houston State University 24 miles. To the East is Lake Livingston 35 miles and a continuation of the national forest. To the south are the cities of Conroe, The Woodlands, Spring, and Houston. Downtown Houston is about 49 miles away.

The Rock Pit

Learn more about this land: The Rock Pit is a 5 acre swimming hole located in Trinity County that has been there over 50 years. Long ago they had dug out an area on a hill for rock on the dirt roads, and hit and underground water table. There are no fish in the Rock Pit, as the pH is 4.5, so no fish will live in it. I recall swimming there as a small boy, and wanted to share my memories with others. Depth ranges all over, but the deep end is around 15 feet. I have 5 kayaks currently, but bring yours if you have them, along with your vests. There is fishing in Lake Livingston, my place is north of it. There is access to Lake Livingston via White Rock Creek. A public boat ramp in on Highway 94, just outside Trinity. Or you can go back towards Trinity, to highway 357 and go to a ramp closer to the big lake. Tall pine tress, a few Oaks, and maple trees surround the place. Bring your mosquito repellant, as you are in the country! The place is raw right now, but I am planning improvements such as a few A frame cabins, a showering area and so on. So many things to do! The property is 28 acres adjacent to the in Big Thicket National near Village Creek and Mill Creek. There are hiking trails from our property to Village Creek and Mill Creek. Village creek is known for its beautiful white sandbars and use to be home to a tribe of Indians in the early 1800's as groups of Indian tribes settled along the gulf coast. This park was originally built as a mobile home park in the late 1960's and renovated to accommodate RV's in the 1980's. After Hurricane Harvey destroyed the area in August of 2017 the property and completely re-vamped it in order to truly appreciate all it has to offer. We currently have 31 RV spaces and 2 cabins and laundry facilities. There is a 3 acre pond for fishing or kayaking. The park is secluded and quiet. We allow pets that are not considered dangerous breeds. Come and enjoy.
