Hipcamp had a unique feel of being in the 70s again. We stayed the weekend and loved seeing the bluebonnets in full bloom. Very welcoming and relaxing. Glamping at its best.

I loved it was great! Barry was an awesome host and very friendly. We had privacy and the free firewood was an awesome addition will definitely be going back!

2 nights at Liberty Hill Hideaway Lake Retreat

We loved staying at Barry’s! We spent two nights at the Barry’s essentials campsite that included a nice tent, air mattress, picnic table, fire pit, water and electricity. We had access to a shared indoor restroom and outdoor shower. The grounds are beautiful, and there was all of the firewood we could ever want! We spent our last night at the Doris “Glamper” and it was awesome! It was cute, had a private bathroom with sink, shower and toilet, a homey kitchen with cooking essentials, fridge, stove and microwave, and a nice sized living room. The air conditioners also worked great - and we didn’t need it, but there was also an electric fireplace that would be great on a cold night. The outside spaces all over the property are so welcoming and inviting, we loved the fun chairs and hammocks around the property, the beautiful plants and trees and artistic touches all over. The game room and crow’s nest were fun bonuses! Barry is so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed! He sang us a few songs by the fire on our last night and we enjoyed talking and sharing stories. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing time, whether in the primitive camping areas, glampers to the private rooms - there’s something for everyone!

An Unforgettable Stay at the Campsite!! Our stay at the campsite was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the serene beauty of nature, crisp fresh air, and the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. The campsite was well-maintained, with clean facilities and spacious pitches that provided a great balance of privacy and community. The host Barry was so welcoming and we really had a good time near the main campfire with Barry playing the guitar….❤️❤️❤️❤️ The highlight of our stay was the breathtaking scenery—towering trees, a peaceful lake nearby, and stunning sunsets that painted the sky in vibrant colors. Evenings by the campfires are magical. ⛺️ 🔥 Overall, it was an incredible experience, and we left feeling refreshed and connected to nature. We can’t wait to return for another adventure!

It was the perfect get-a-way! We drove from Dallas Tx so the drive was only 1 hour 30 mins. We camped for two nights to simply get an out doors experience for the weekend. We loved exploring the property and common areas. The place is super eclectic and will be on my list to go again.

I loved staying at Barry's camper. My sister and I had such a wonderful and relaxing time. We instantly felt comfortable and at peace in such a unique and fun place. Barry was an absolutely wonderful host!

4 nights at A Little Piece of Paradise

This little slice of heaven was fantastic! The tub and the shower were an out-of-body experience. The kitchen was well stocked and everything worked! We enjoyed daily walks around the acreage, including the pier over the pond with the glass bottom and the sweet ponies who loved pets. The floor in the cabin was astounding. Many various materials and colors are beautifully patchworked around the entire cabin. It does make it inaccessible for people with mobility issues (but there aren’t any accessible entrances to the cabin either). Gilberto responded quickly and worked hard to make the space very welcoming. We will definitely be back and have already suggested it to several friends.

This pretty place is a hidden gem and offers a great opportunity to enjoy a new camping spot that offers many amenities. With power, water, sewer hookups and internet you can enjoy all the convenient benefits you don’t usually have available at many camp sites

He was super kind and friendly and the house is super cool- he gave us great hiking tips aswell since we were on our way to Big Bend :)

1 night at Laughing Squash Homestead

Great little spot to stop at while passing through. Very private and unique since you’re surrounded by all of the farm animals. Their dogs were off leash but extremely friendly to us and our dog. Just be careful where you step, we both stepped in dog poop. Close enough to town for all of your shopping/errands. T-Mobile home internet was “good”

This is definitely a hidden gem! He has such a beautiful property & the personal touches he has put around the place are awesome! Barry loves meeting everyone & loves sharing his place! Definitely ask him to sing for you, he has an amazing voice & is very talented! Can't wait to stop back thru next time I'm in Texas!
