Sundancer On The Brazos sits on Comanche Creek in an isolated forest
on a 350 acre working cattle ranch with a quarter mile of river frontage!
The Comanche were quite active up and down this part of the Brazos when the earliest settlers arrived around 1850, until the Comanches' eventual conquest by the Texas Rangers and their Colt pistols around 1870; we have found lots of flint and some arrowheads on high places here. Going further back in history, the Fuller's Folly River Ranch has an abundance of petrified wood, they say that if you have fossilized sea shells you were under water, but if you have petrified wood you had land creatures. Hunting for petrified wood is a fun adventure here. (But leave them for the next person to discover!)
Weatherford is only 10 minutes away and
Granbury is only 20 minutes away; both have great restaurants. And this close to Fort Worth (30min), you could actually commute and have a ranch to come home to at night--note the lower pricing mid week.

When you stay in one of our inflatable bubbles on the farm with an enormous pool, not only do you get to experience something new and exciting, you also have access to so many fun things to do! The coolest part? The top is transparent, so you can fall asleep wishing on a star.
This inflatable bubble is anchored to a sturdy wooden deck and inflated with an air blower. There is a retractable awning that covers each bubble reducing the green-house effect during the daytime and can be opened to reveal the beautiful skyline during the day or the wonderous starlit sky at night.
Inside you’ll find a cozy king bed that can comfortably sleep up to three guests (2 adults and 1 child).
There is air conditioning and heating inside as well as a full private bathroom. The bathroom even has a clawfoot tub! Toiletries are provided for you during your stay.
The bubble is located in Sam Houston National Forest on a beautiful ranchette of almost 8 acres. On the ranchette you’ll be able to see chickens, turkeys (seasonal), goats, pigs, rabbits, and a garden near the home

The retreat at RAPHA’s REST offers 5 Cabins and 3 Private Rooms remotely located in the piney woods of East Texas. It was created especially for time w/Father-God with 42 acres to hike, walk and pray + cozy Cabins or Rooms for sojourners seeking healing REST and RESTORATION before continuing on their journey!
In addition to 42 acres to explore & your own private deck, relax on large Retreat Center Pool Deck - also perfect for group gatherings when using multiple cabins. A hot tub and fire-pit is perfect for enjoying those cooler evenings. Multiple yard games including corn-hole, frisbee golf (1 basket), horseshoes, etc! Summer evenings can bring a bat show over the newly dug 2acre pond.
HIKING: There are 42 tree'd acres to hike, pray, and explore. You will need good shoes for exploring/walking, especially when wet.
POOL: Open 8am-10pm so BRING SWIM SUITS!! Kids love it but it was designed around adults: Pool features Waterfall, Hot Tub, and Tanning ledge. BEACH TOWELS provided, but you may want to bring a robe/flip flops for walking back to room or cabin. Please be respectful of other guests sharing.
HOT TUB: DUE TO RISING COST OF PROPANE, use 1x FREE/day. Each additional use = $15 DONATION. [Once temperatures drop below 50 degrees, each use $15]. We sit high on a hill (2000′ elev) approximately 13 miles south of Fredericksburg. Set along the ridge of our 15 acres, our 7 private cabins are fully furnished with complete kitchens. We have the amenities of an uptown hotel not too far from downtown. You'll love the peace and quiet of being unplugged, along with no cable or satellite TV, the fluffy towels and you'll be talking about the amazing breakfast for weeks. Five cabins have a great view up to 40 miles off the back porch to the southeast for a magnificent sunrise! The Siesta and Milky Way Cabins have roof-top decks for viewing sunrises, and sunsets and are perfect for stargazing! All cabins are secluded and private. The cabins are spaced about 150 feet apart. We have horseshoes and washer pits, and a large fire pit that can be used when the wind is not blowing and there is no burn ban in place.We are close to Texas state parks for hiking, there is mountain biking close by at Flat Rock Bike trails in Comfort.About Walnut Canyon Cabins-Fredericksburg, Texas-Welcome! After working behind a desk for decades as a Human Resources professional, Rhonda has embraced and adores our place here and is thrilled to share it with everyone! While Carl worked behind the scenes in many areas of the hospitality industry and obtained a Certified Executive Chef designation, he now looks forward to playing in the kitchen for just a few family and friends. Most of all Carl enjoys meeting our guests coupled with the time he gets to spend with Rhonda! From our first tour of this unique property, Walnut Canyon Cabins, we continue to be amazed at how lucky we were to find this stunning place and with everyone who walks through our doors!We have 2 great boys, 2 incredible daughters-in-law, and two wonderful grandchildren. Big Bend Country
Remote West Texas boasts some of the most pristine landscapes in the state.
