Weekend Trip to Down Horn Ranch

Had a great short tent camping trip at Downhorn Ranch! The sites were nice and private, really appreciated having a bathroom complete with shower, and observing the curious Longhorns made for extra entertainment. We booked last minute and the hosts were very accommodating. The property was amazing and well kept up. This is a great place for family’s with and without kids alike. There are plenty of amenities from a catch and release pond, a giant sandpit, playgrounds, swimming pool, huge splashed, and an adult only pool and bar.

Weekend Trip to Ranch 3232

3232 is a good spot to land after a day at Pedernales State Park -- only ten minutes from this campground. My son and small dog stayed at the Comanche Glamping Tent and were comfortable and had a good time. I initially worried that we were too close to the road as it's one of the first sites in the campground, but it got very quiet at night so that wasn't an issue. This tent is right beside the bathrooms, kitchen and communal fire pit area. This was convenient, and there were some campers who stayed there past the designated quiet hour of 10pm, but it wasn't an issue for us.

We had a great stay here. The animals were extremely friendly and being able to interact with them so closely was a huge bonus for us! The site was easy to get in to and the host was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Michelle and her husband were fabulous hosts. They love sharing their beautiful land and hanging out with their three longhorns was entertaining. We felt welcomed, and encouraged to explore. We walked around their property twice a day enjoying the views and peacefulness. We took our hammocks and simply enjoyed “hanging” out and reading. We enjoyed the photo ops and visiting the surrounding area. Their place was immaculate and they are constantly doing more.

We loved our trip to Fishers of Men! Kaz and Bill were so welcoming and helpful. The site we got for our 22 ft RV was a great size and had full hook ups. Close to Marble Falls so if you forget something, which I always do, you can easily go pick it up in town. Would recommend this ranch for camping.

The house is very spacious. So much room to spread out and not be cramped up. A 30-amp electric hookup is conveniently located on the side of the house, with water access available from the rear. While sewer hookups are not available, we are happy to discuss nearby options for dumping gray and black tanks. During your stay, we'll be residing in the house but will respect your privacy while remaining available to assist with anything you might need.
