Delightful, funky, funny-farm with camping spots on a pond. Horses, chickens, goats, turkeys and a wise old dog are all part of the adventure. We thoroughly enjoyed our stopover on Allyssa’s property.

The natural wetlands of the Snow White Sanctuary were absolutely beautiful! We arrived late (well after dark) but the hosts came out and showed us where we could set up our tent. The dogs were so friendly and came out to greet us. We heard the horses too, but we only saw them in the morning. (Callie, the mare, wasn't too fond of being pet, but she didn't mind being admired from afar :) The only downside to this location is that there aren't really any hiking trails (only one that goes around their property, definitely less than a mile). There was a slight mishap as we were leaving (there are a lot of dogs, mostly rescued, at this location and their neighbors) and some of them got in a dogfight near the gate. But Alyssa came out and it was resolved. The animals are all very tolerant towards people, and I would recommend Snow White Sanctuary to anyone wanting to experience Louisiana's natural wetlands in a peaceful, animal-filled environment!

Alyssa is so welcoming. She and her family have created a lovely experience for both animals and guests. The goat milk soap is fabulous. We enjoyed the friendly animals milling around our camper. This was our 2nd time here and it was just as special.

We loved it! A great price and a safe place to set your tent. Very welcoming atmosphere. NOTE: you will not be without noise from the many friendly animals who share the space (dogs, roosters, chickens.)

The host was extremely friendly. Loved all of the animals. We unfortunately were only passing through on our cross-country road trip showed up at night and then had to leave pretty early in the morning. But it was a really cool experience. All of the animals were friendly. While we were cooking dinner a sweet dog came up to us and then a horse walked past our tent site that was really cool. Shared bathroom which was really nice, and we didn't take showers, but you could take shower if you needed. The host has some cool projects going on the property. Which we kindly invited us to check out.

Beautiful farm Alyssa was very friendly upon arrival very quit so peaceful a must visit big camp sites with privacy away from roads so there is no noise just nature I will definitely be making another trip there in the future

Was amazing! Kid friendly and just people friendly in general! Tons for the kids to see and do animals galore we really enjoyed having the dogs pop by through out the night the kids loved them. The only thing that bothered us slightly were the bugs, but once we got the fire going we were golden! Easy 5 star experience!

I loved staying at Snow White animal sanctuary. We got to enjoy the property and all the diversity of farm animals and wildlife that are abundant on the land. The property is green, lush and gorgeous. The animals graze all around you at all hours.

This place was beautiful. There were so many different kinds of animals. The pond next to our site was perfect to take my sons out on their row boat. Alyssa was very kind and gracious. We had an excellent experience and definitely plan on going again.

This is literally one of the most incredible campgrounds we’ve ever stayed at. My son and I were on a road trip and Alyssa and Ocean‘s property is truly magnificent. It feels like Home, the animals are all so sweet, and the energy on that land is amazing. We had such a great time, we stopped there on the way home as well, and will be back for sure. My son got to play with their kids, and has lifelong memories now. Thank you so much to Alyssa and Ocean for creating this space. Don’t miss this campground if you’re in the area.

Quiet and serene filled with an abundance of nature and wildlife. Thoroughly enjoyed my short stay at The Snow White sanctuary, Ocean and his family were amazing hosts providing plenty to do and see. Would highly recommend and hope to return soon!

This place was perfect. Nice and quiet, the hist had just tge ight balance of being welcoming amd courteous while giving us privacy. The grounds are well kept, and the pool was amazing. I'm honestly torn between wanting to tell everyone about how great it was, and keeping it a secret.

This was our very first HipCamp stay, and we’re so glad we chose Ocean’s property! We came in with our pop-up trailer and Jeep and had no trouble getting set up. Ocean was a wonderful host… kind, welcoming, and clearly puts a lot of care into the land and the animals.
If you’re expecting total quiet, just know this place is full of life and we mean that in the best way! There were ponies, turkeys, peacocks, helpful and friendly dogs, chickens, roosters, and even emus wandering the property. It made the experience feel like something out of a storybook.
We loved the freedom to explore, the thoughtful touches around the campsite, and the opportunity to unplug while still feeling safe and taken care of. It’s a perfect spot for animal lovers or families wanting something unique and memorable. We’ll definitely be back!
