Great time camping as usual. It was rainy but we made the most of it.

This property is beautiful. We loved site 22. Secluded, well designed, close enough to a bathroom when needed. Host's directions were very clear. We camped two nights through a couple thunderstorms and cannot wait to come back for more fun in sunnier weather. Were able to hike through the property in-between storms. Enjoyed the playground area.

Beautiful spot - peaceful sleeping and easy access to the creek and waterfall. The trees (and an existing guyline - I couldn't tell if that was there by choice or left by a previous camper) were spaced perfectly to set up my rain tarp. Though it didn't rain in the end, I never worried about the set up. We didn't stay long but I would definitely recommend. The creek was cold and clean, just beautiful!

2 nights at Peaceful Hills Retreat Campground

Jennifer has the best place in middle Tennessee! Peaceful Hills is exactly what her place is! I do have to warn people who have never been there… once you experience her place for the first time you may never want to leave!

I did a little solo trip here for a few days, and the campsite was just what I needed. It wasn't too close to any other campers, but it also wasn't so far away that I felt completely alone in the woods. It's a beautiful place. The creek/stream that flows by the property was so refreshing. In the mornings, I walked down to the stream to wash off. Bit cold but the best kind of cold. I wandered a little ways down, till I saw No Trespassing signs, and turned around. Saw lots of wildlife walking down the stream, turtles, a snake, fish, a beaver-looking thing or a muskrat, not sure, and a turkey. Jennifer is very quick to respond and helpful. Thanks for the relaxing getaway! I will be returning

We had a great experience on our family getaway! The property is beautiful and the campsites are arranged in the woods away from the cabin area, providing nice seclusion. Will definitely be back!

Really great place to camp - quiet and secluded. Great firewood service (though plenty of downed limbs so you don’t necessarily need it). Also, fresh eggs delivered - one less thing to pack and only $5. Would definitely stay here again!

Great spot! The waterfall campsite was amazing and private from the other locations, as well as right near the River. The string lights were a nice touch and the farm fresh eggs were amazing. Beautiful property, would love to return.

Weekend Trip to Hoot Owl Hollow Campground

Full disclosure, I was not able to stay at this particular campsite due to severe weather conditions. However, my communication and experience with Jennifer about the unforeseen situation was truly a breath of fresh air. I would definitely recommend her as a host based on my interaction with her.

2 nights at Peaceful Hills Retreat Campground

Stayed at moonlight ridge. Have stayed at the Lumberjack site before. Both are great. Was a little cloudy so couldn’t see as much of the stars that we hoped for but the site was perfect. Area is well maintained, clean and quiet. There was only one other site occupied while we were there. Jennifer was super fast to deliver wood. Will definitely return again.

Nice peaceful campground. Would stay again. The sound of the waterfall is great for drifting off to sleep.

Only 14.6 miles from I-40 and located on 97 acres, this campground is surrounded by nature, very secluded and private. There is a crystal-clear creek that runs parallel with the driveway and fresh spring water flowing from pipe in the rock close to the entrance on American Way. The creek is bio-diverse, filled with fascinating species, and spring fed, which means it stays cool in the summertime. There are three beautiful homes which are able to be rented out as well. The A-frame log cabin at the top of the hill is called the lodge. The second home, which is a two-story brown log cabin, is where the host lives. The third home is the cottage. Long before these three homes were built, native Indians lived in these beautiful rolling hills and we have found many arrowheads right around the homes on this property. This is a special place and we are happy and honored to share it with you! Peaceful Hills Retreat, a family owned business, started in May of 2017. It all began when Jennifer’s brilliant brother booked a two-story home through Airbnb for Jennifer and the family for a week in the Carolinas. Their Airbnb vacation was a great experience, and she loved having a kitchen to cook in, while traveling with her large family. She gladly said goodbye to tiny hotel rooms. Linda and her daughter, Jennifer realized they desired to run a BnB, and watched the scattered pieces beautifully fall into place. Peaceful Hills Retreat is also a wedding venue. There are three beautiful spots for a lovely outdoor wedding. The waterfall site is a favorite. The lodge is a beautiful place for the reception to take place outdoors and the Honeymoon Cottage makes for the perfect getaway afterwards. At each home you may read a special book called A Soldier’s Child Foundation (ASC). This life-changing, wonderful foundation near Nashville, serves children all over our great nation who have sadly lost a parent who served in our military. ASC tremendously helped Jennifer’s family after the loss of their military soldier and Peaceful Hills Retreat donates a portion of their profits to this amazing non-profit. A Soldier’s Child Foundation removed the shame and sadness from our loss and replaced it with hope, honor. and love. This beautiful place has been in my family for 3 generations. Since I was a child I loved having campfires and hiking. I used to imagine cabins speckling its landscape and story’s being told by travelers from far off places! Now that I am owner I can and will build those dreams and share them with as many folks as come to visit us! There’s 60 acres of hills for hiking a peaceful creek for meditation or just stick your feet in! A beautiful bamboo grove where we plan to build a camping platform in the very near future and you’ll be able to sleep in tha bamboo forest! We’ve come a long way in the last year, we have platforms, tents we can set up as glampers for those that love the idea but don’t want to have to set it all up. There’s several old buildings and unfinished projects left behind from my father we have a series of small cabins we will be building with them over the next 2 years it’ll be called “Boho Bottom”. We also host events, so far they are few and small but so much fun!! There is currently one communal bathroom with several more due to be built in the next year or so.
